The Trailhead is doing things right through the pandemic. They have maintained the highest standards of safety while remaining open for take out food and safe shopping. Thank you Trailhead for being an excellent commercial partner. I will definitely do everything I can to support you.

The store is a wonderful collection of outdoor goods for hiking and camping. They have a good variety of clothes, shoes, and equipment. The process are a little high but you can purchase everything in one spot and have it for immediate use. The staff where very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a restaurant here also but were not hungry at the time we visited the store.

If you dont mind paying high prices this is the place for you. It is my opinion that unless you have unlimited daddies money, wait for their end of season sales or don't bother Must wear flannel, flatbills, beards and have a pretentious atitude to shop here. Come to think of it, my opinion is they should rename the whole building daddies money.

Great place. Very welcoming staff. We were traveling from out of town and came into the gear shop. Walker was extremely helpful in assisting us when trying to find places nearby to go climbing.

Horrific prices. The absolute highest prices for any out door gear that youre looking for. Staff very rude and stuck up. From here you are better suited getting your outdoor materials in either Denver or Salida. Food is mediocre at best. You can tell for sure its the only place in town by the way they do their pricing. 0/10 would never go again

I stop at The Trailhead every time I'm in the region. I'm something of an 'out of town regular'. I've found what I needed there and got help from friendly staff when I needed the help. I shopped there before they moved to their current location, and I will shop there again! And again!

Worst customer service! Spent 20 minutes in the store and not one associate asked if we needed assistance. Noticed that other patrons were also ignored and they ended up leaving as well. Do not recommend entering this store.

Fantastic shop. Great selection of anything you need ranging from gear to maps. Mountaineers will find most anything they need as well so if you forget anything trailhead has you covered. Also they will take your spent propane cans so take em here dont throw them away!

This a fantastic outdoor store in Buena Vista's downtown. They have great gear and had the last minute mountain bike rentals we needed. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well!

I climb the 14ers and everyone in the store has good information about routes and Ideas on other fun hikes. They have a good selection of maps, and climbing gear. I loved the atmosphere. There is also a cafe if you want coffee or a salad. Love the people. Love the atmosphere. Love the store.

Went in to buy a new pair of hiking boots. No one ever offered to help/assist. The clerk behind the counter looked at me, then answered the telephone and became engrossed in a lengthy conversation. Went elsewhere.

The Trailhead is a trendy restaurant and storefront that also has frozen yogurt. It s my favorite place to have dinner after a day on the lake. The service has always been prompt and friendly, and the food is excellent. Living in Colorado, you find that many mountain town restaurants either let the service side and food quality fall to the wayside since they are one of only a few options, or have exorbitant prices for fine dining. The Trailhead is a diamond in the rough; affordable but quality food with top notch service and because of this they always earn my business again!

I purchased a few items from this store; they helped me get through my outdoors job duties done with less of a hassle! I ordered an inflatable & solar powered light, water bottle, sunscreen, and sturdy pants for hiking and working on trail.

Was camping and didn't listen to my friends when they said to pack like its winter. So, i bought an emergency blanket. The staff was helpful in finding what i needed, only spent $2, and was back at the campsite not dying of hypothermia that night.

Not only does this place have an excellent selection of clothing and outdoor equipment, they also have one of my favorite soup and sandwich shops in the whole area. The food there is extremely well prepared and uniquely tasty.

Stopped by the cafe for lunch on our way to Glennwood, my dad and I instantly fell in love with the angus burger. That burger was an excellent personification of the Colorado Mountains, full of flavor and beyond satisfying, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quick and amazing lunch and dinner.

Kicked me out and would not let me shop because I wouldn't wear a mask. I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask safely and I explained that to the employee....I was still kicked out. Too bad, we would have spent a lot of money. It's time to start boycotting this mask and businesses need to be on the right side of freedom. This is America. Never coming back and will never eat the food next door.

This store saved our camping trip. We had to repack quickly after another trip & ended up needing some things we had forgotten to bring or didn't bring enough of. A woman helped me find some pants that ended up fitting even though they were not my usual size. She convinced me to try them on & they are so nice!

Friendly and very helpful. Rented a TREK MTB for 2 days and rode it hard with no problems at all. Bike was setup just as I had asked. Staff tried to order a special camping item for me but it was discontinued by the manufacturer so they called their local hardware store trying to find it for me. Amazing personal service. Give them a try!

The Staff at trailhead are really nice and willing to help at all times. We drove from Austin Texas to hike 14ers around BV. Had no clue which hike or trails to take .. Jonathan and some other staff members were really helpful and gave us really good information and recommendations on where to go and what to hike while in BV.
