Neglect of patient. Will not listen to your concerns. He developed pressure ulcers. My father died of gangrene because they would not put him on anti bionics and take care of his sores. I had to tell them to take get him to the hospital. Gangrene is treatable if caught in the beginning. No staff and poor management.

My father was there for roughly six weeks following a series of health complications while we tried to find him a more permanent living situation. While there, he fell trying to get from his bed to his wheelchair FLUR SEPARATE TIMES, and four separate times, they left him lying in the floor, calling, crying, screaming for help for OVER AN HOUR. They also left him to sit in his own excrement for many hours any time he couldn't make it to his toilet. He went to the hospital for a few days and while there, we arranged for him to go to a separate facility (he never went back to Diversicare). When we went to collect his things, they provided us with a suitcase filling with half of his clothing. What we didn't recover was over $1,000 worth of personal artifacts and medical necessities.

The new rehab director is rude, arrogant and disrespectful to her co-workers and patients not to mention she has been fired from her past two previous jobs at other facilities. THATS A MAJOR RED FLAG RIGHT OFF THE BAT!

I found that the staff here does truly care for their patients. I kept my 94 year old grandmother here and they went out out their way to care for her. Try not to let their low rating discourage you from giving them a chance.

Was sent there after hospital release. I have been in rehab 3 times before nothing like this. Two beds in roughly a 10 by 10 room. They couldn't even find a wheelchair for me. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Please do your research.

Horrible sometimes especially when it comes to whom your nurse may be for that time slot. Like today for example it's 1:15 in the afternoon and I have not seen my nurse at all. So I haven't had any of my meds at all. Some good days and some not so good.

I felt compelled to give a review of Briarcliff Health Care Center because I felt the first review was not a fair one. My mother has been a resident of Briarcliff for about 7 years and I have visited there many times and the experience has been a good one for her. The staff is understanding, kind and competent. There will always be issues in any nursing home or medical facility which has the difficult task of taking care of those who cannot care for themselves. I never wanted my mother to have to be in a nursing home, but after a short time I felt that she was in good hands there and I would recommend Briarcliff to others.

I would leave 0 stars if that was an option. They treat their staff awful despite how dedicated they are or how long they been there. They do not value their patients needs. Constant change in management is a major issue!!

My mother is currently there for short term rehab and has been there exactly 15 days and will likely be there for about 30 more days for rehab on a very bad break in ankle. Rooms are large, clean, and private. You do not have to share with other patient's. Plenty of storage, nice beds, decent food. Staff members are friendly and really seem to care about their patients. They are even helping us apply for medicaid to offset some of the cost. This is the 3rd nursing facility my mother has been to in this area since November (she has had several falls resulting in injuries). This is the first place that has sat down with me, her daughter to try and get to the bottom of WHY she keeps falling. Everyone else just wanted to get her out as quick as possible. These people really seem to care about her health, not only now, but moving forward to the future to prevent her from further accidents. The nursing staff and CNA's are great. Especially, Tomie, Janet , Helen, Christie, Melissa,Tabitha , Scotty, Terrell, and Elmer. The only complaint that I might have is they definitely need more help. But that's true for all the facilities she has been in. I can't say enough good things about this place, well done!
