What a great experience! There is a large variety of animals from around the world, each uniquely displayed. The interaction feeding the giraffes was a memorable experience for the children and a joy to watch for the adults. The overall experience of the park was top notch and the hidden gems like the garden and Lilly pond just added to the exceptional nature of the visit. I definitely plan on returning and will be looking into a membership next season.

Such a nice Zoo! Plenty of animals and exhibits, complete with a full aquarium and aviary. Really a gem of Toledo. If you visit Toledo, the zoo should certainly be in your list of things to do while in town

Best zoo in the mid west. Discounted admission for reciprocal zoo members (Detroit). Free admission for military. Great food options as well, but also plenty of picnic tables and an eating area for you to bring your own lunch to the zoo. We go at least once a year!

We had an awesome time at the Toledo zoo. The exhibits were great, especially the penguins and the aquarium. We drove all the way from Kalamazoo to see the elephants and they did not disappoint.

Our one serious problem was the food. We bought lunch from the Deli and while we were in line, there was an entire box of moldy sub buns sitting on the counter. They weren t just a little moldy either. This is very bad for someone like me because I am allergic to mold. We let the staff know and ordered our food anyway, trusting them to fix the issue.

When we received our sandwiches, there was no mold, but every bun and slice of bread (including the kids PB&J) was dried out, stale, and hard. Honestly, it was pretty gross. I tried to get in contact with someone from the Zoo, but no one returned my call.

I guess the lesson here is bring your own food and you will have a great time. For $60 worth of lunch, you might not find the food acceptable. We didn t.

I was not happy with my visit. All of the signs on the exhibits were rather worn down and most could not be read all the way through. However, there was no shortage of clear signs for food and souvenirs.

I thought a nice trip to the splash pad with my toddler would make up for the last of animal activity. However there was no supervision at all. There were 30 children running around ages 2-12 and ALL of the parents were 20 yards away on their phones. I had to scream for parenta when a handicapped boy was pushed over.

Overall a bad trip :-(

Super disappointing, we traveled from Detroit area on the weekend. I made sure to read what was closed before going, unfortunatly they didn't list all the exhibits that were closed. The lines were INSANE, lines for everything, waited 45 minutes to get into the zoo, had to wait in line to see polar bears, didn't even attempt to wait in the line for the Aquarium since it wrapped around the building. Half hour wait in line for a drink, 20 minutes to wait for a bathroom. Penguin exhibit closed. So we literally got to see birds and monkeys. Bottom line, Toledo Zoo dropped the ball they clearly let too many people inside that they couldn't accomadate...

Not a bad zoo. Lots of walking, so come prepared. My grandparents came with only one of their mobility scooters and boy was that a huge mistake.
The time we went we didn t get to see many animals unfortunately... I understand that you can t always see them due to their sleeping habits or what have you. But it was somewhat of a bummer.
We prefer the Columbus zoo.

Fantastic Zoo! I would highly recommend getting a membership - it truly does pay for itself in just two visits! Beautiful grounds to explore and plenty of fun extras like the Fall Festival and Lights before Christmas (which are both phenomenal)

Your Jeep's suck and if you are going to be no nice give us a refund and the police are lazy the people are doing legally things like hanging a flag higher than a U.S.A flag and they are hanging your feet out and it took us 40 min to pay and the lights are messed up

Amazing zoo. Great attractions! Aquarium is still pretty new and pretty incredible. The ampetheater is amazing for concerts as well. Buying the zoo membership is well worth the money.

We went on Labor Day weekend so it was rather crowded. We did not feel they handled the lines of people as well as they could have-it felt very disorganized and slow. As always the park was clean, the animals always seem well cared for and it is usually easy for adults and children to see the animal enclosures.

The zoo is great but the hours are not. Can't take a child to the zoo after school. It's already closed. Only Sat and Sunday. I'm a member, still the number of times I could go are probably three or four. The food courts are not my favorites. The toys at the store are very pricy, but we put up with that because of the animals.

We just had the opportunity with our Cub Scout pack to do an overnight Safari trip. It was amazing. The zoo tour guides (Madison, Mitchell and Jess) were absolutely wonderful! You could tell they really enjoy their jobs and love the animals and kids.

The zoo not only gave us a private tour of several exhibits after hours and brought out several animals for the kids to learn about and even pet. But they also fed us pizza and gave us other snacks. We did a bonfire, had a wonderful breakfast the next day and toured a few more exhibits. The tour guides had the kids games at times where we would need to wait so the kids never knew that they were waiting. They were simply having fun.

We found the Zoo to be very well kept up, amazingly clean everywhere we went. The food they provided was more than enough for our group. I would highly highly recommend this the zoo as an overnight adventure to any group.

Peggy was also wonderful to work with, great with answering all my questions and always getting back to me in a timely manner. Overall this was a phenomenal experience!

We stopped at the sale on our way to a resort in Ohio I wasn't expecting much but I have to say I was quite impressed. They have an abundance of exotic animals both large and small many Interactive exhibits my children had a blast. The food was expensive like any other Zoo and basic but they had what we needed. The zoo is easy to navigate as there we're clearly posted signs and directions everywhere the Landscaping was beautiful and there were plenty of places to sit down and rest the exhibits themselves seem very well maintained and the staff was very friendly the price point was on par with most suicide I have visited and because they participate with the zoos and Aquariums Nationwide I was able to get a discount because I have a membership to another Zoo which I greatly appreciated

Great place. The reptile section could be better. The tiger was tired because of the heat and therefore we couldn't get a good view. The polar bear is awesome. The aquarium is great as well.

Love all the Ohio zoos! Toledo's was larger the Akron, but like the others, had great attractions and some animals you do not see in others ( Hippos and a Casseoary bird)! Love the atmosphere also!

Wonderful zoo with plenty of stuff to look at. Has splash pad waterpark and playground for kids. We are from Texas and were just visiting. It was beautifully laid out and very fun. We loved the seals and polar bear.
