If there wasn't so much smoke I would rate it better. It is a historic building, which makes it interesting. They have a pretty good beer selection.
The smoke kills it for me. I didn't give up that nasty habit in 1976 to poison myself in a bar.

The music is always fabulous, the food is first rate and the beer is cold. Very good place. We will be back.

Amazing place. I have had so many great times here. Karaoke Saturdays and Tavern Tuesday with Jeff Hopson is a Texas Music institution.

Time travel back to a neighborhood bar with the cigarette smoke-laced atmosphere. This place is low-key and cozy in the early half of the evening, but no doubt it can get ramped up, especially on karaoke nights. Staff were all very nice.

Great place to have a fun night. Live music, beers, pool, kareoke. Only a bit upset about your policies, I've been here with tourist friends who just came for the weekend, and the fact that you have to fill a sheet just to enter because you have a passport/visa is a bummer.

Great boneless rib eye and baked sour for $14.95. 4 stars since they allow smoking.

A little neighborhood bar where you can smoke inside. If you don't like that, this is not the place for you. karaoke and live music depending on the night, and a handful of regulars you'll run into. The bar staff are always friendly and attentive.

First time visit. Nice place, good food, great staff very friendly and funny. They had Karaoke we wasn't brave enough to get up and sing. We enjoyed ourselves.

The food is amazing, the drinks are plentiful and cheap, and the staff is top notch. Not only is the bar itself and the staff amazing, but the regular patrons are too. I ve been coming here for over a decade and have made some of the best friends a person could hope for. It s seriously just the best bar ever. Only knock is the smoke, but it s still worth it. 10/10

One word: Ribeye. Also, it is a smoking establishment, so be prepared if that makes a difference to you.

I'd been going to this place for 20 years and used to love their food. However the last 2 times it's noticeable there's a new cook. The food I ordered today went in the trash. Will not be returning.

Ribeye was amazing. I don't think it's on the main menu so ask for it. Decent price too

Been going here for years now. My husband and I don't get out very often but when we do, this is our go to. It's a fun "hole in the wall" type of bar and the patrons are friendly. They have Karaoke on Friday and Saturday that make it even more fun!

Very good food! We came for the Tuesday night band and they rocked it!

Came in for a quick bloody Mary and it was delicious! Just what I needed with my lunch.

I find it very hard to find excellent chicken wings. If you like wings, this place knows what they are doing. Cooked just so, not dry, moist. I chose the Guinness BBQ sauce. Tell me that doesn t sound like the cat s meow. Dessert was a delicious bread pudding...just not fair. I went for a hockey game and got excellence all around. Way to go!

So far it seems a good bar. The door man treated me well and even showed me a place inside the bar where I cod keep my bicycle. This is super important to me since I live in constant fear of it being stolen. They are wonderful for being so accommodating!

It was great. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The only drawback is the construction but I'm sure it won't last forever. I cannot say enough about the music. Phenomenal listening experience. How many times in your life can you see 3 of the greatest blues guitarists together on stage jamming and playing great music. Tommy Katona and Wes Jeans and Andy Timmons and the Texas Flood band were all at their best. Thank you all so much for a most remember able night of excellent entertainment.

Just had lunch there. It was fabulous. Chicken fried steak was awesome. The bartender, Jill was so friendly and helpful. Great place to go for a beer and watch sports!!

I really dig this bar's vibe and great blues music, but being a non-smoker, I'm sickened by the air quality and while I'm there I am constantly fighting the urge to rush home to bathe (3 times out of my 5 visits I did leave early). I hear they have award-winning food but I can't eat food while I'm choking on the air. Please, please improve the ventilation. I want to make this my bar home.

The service was terrible, infact the worst I've had in a long time! Whitney needs to get retrained or fired! The food was ok but might have been better if the Whitney (waitress) would have been better. This place has 4.4 stars on Google so it's changed or something!

Go away. You hipsters need to stay away from my local dive bar. You can smoke here. You can karaoke here. You can occasionally check out a sweet show upstairs. If not, the far plastic covered door behind the pool tables hides an fabulous open patio accented by succulents and umbrellas. Careful when you leave thou- rpd has this on lock- take an Uber. $30 per person decent night

My group of friends were questioned about our age. It was a little ridiculous but I get the feeling they don't get too many patrons that aren't "regulars." Besides that, and the smoke, the place was great.

I LOVE karaoke at this place! I still remember the first time I ever walked into this bar, nearly 20 years ago.... Ahh, the good ole days! Lol

The food here is good, the staff if very friendly & good at their jobs, & the atmosphere is pretty groovy, man! Lol. It's just an all around great place to go hang out, any night of the week.

The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and squash was great; definitely want to try more of their menu now.

It was actually the huka lounge called Jasmine's Cafe at 107 main St. I love this place. It is amazing Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend this place to anybody!!!

One of my favorite places to visit. The owner and his staff treat you like family. It's a great music venue and they have the BEST hamburgers in the state of Texas! Everyone deserves a chance to enjoy an experience like this atmosphere that the Tavern offers.

Smok is just heaven for me. May be better if cigars were not allowed. I love the music here.

If you like authentic dive bars this one is among the longest lasting in the North Dallas Richardson area. Smokey, Loud, Dark and generous servings.
