They explained several alternatives in PLAIN language and then set up our accounts according to our decisions. The family part is really special because they offer several kinds of events, some mainly technical others purely social over a wide range of interests to help us get to know other members of the family. We think it's a great way to run a business.

These people are great! Throughout 2019 my 401k was growing by leaps and bounds compared to my previous investment firm. When the pandemic hit in January 2020 it dropped, as did everyone's. I thought it would take years to recoup but I was wrong. The people at Synergy built my 401k back up to were it was previously in less than a year with an extra $10,000 to boot! I am very sorry I invested with them. Once they got my money, they were very difficult to contact. In 2014, my car was totaled and I needed to withdraw funds. I called, left messages on their voicemail, no return calls. I finally left a nasty message and was able to get my money. Another time I left a message to withdraw money for a vacation. No money or return call. I didn t pursue that. A third time I called and got a real, live person. He said he saw that my account was directly connected to my bank account and was transferring the money as we speak. Never happened. At that point, I transferred what I could to another advisor. In March 2019 I was to meet with Jason to discuss one fund that was due. He made a point of marking it on his calendar to call. That call never came, either. Other people are happy with them, I also know others have removed their investments for the same reason I did.

I love this place! It's so much more than a financial institution. Synergy is a "professional friend" to help us make the best current and future financial decisions. The physical office is amazing. As soon as you enter the reception area, you feel "Welcomed," from the moment Carol the receptionist greets you until you're seated for your appointment. She asks immediately if there's anything you'd like to drink, and if it's coffee, for example, it's prepared and delivered to your seat. The Reception area is beautiful and the decor always highlights the current season (I always want to go out and purchase the same things for my home). The Fireplace is very classy and cozy all year long. So take a quick look around, because you never wait long, your Advisor is ready to escort you to the office where your finances and reviews are discussed. There's always a family friendly banter with Jason. He's just excellent! No question is left unanswered. He is thorough in his research for you. We also dealt with Tom for our Income Tax preparations and Sam for our Medicare reviews and were very satisfied. When the visit is over, you truly feel you were in good hands with resource energy for the future. I'm not shy in telling others about Synergy.
And by all means, before you leave, a trip to the Restrooms is a must! Warning: Be prepared to chuckle!

Last year I saw an advertisement for a free seminar about retirement taxes. I was starting to think about it more those days since I was getting closer to it and thought just go and see what they have to say. The presenter was Terry Judy and I liked his style. Very knowledgeable and very down to earth. After the session was over I decided what the heck, let's get this show on the road. I contacted an acquaintance of mine that I saw on the review of the company. Long and short of it I signed up with Synergy and have not regretted it.
