My family held a banquet here after the funeral for my children's dad. The staff was very understanding of the kids being hyper and sad and running all over the place. That meant alot to me. They let us set up lots of pictures and things around the room. I was not terribly impressed with the food but it wasn't bad. I was impressed with how nice and understated the staff was. This was a little over a year ago.

Attended a fabulous bridal shower here - the food was fabulous!! The steak tips were perfect, and the Penne alla Vodka is a fan favorite every time. Three blueberry pancakes were so tasty (brunch). Interior is very nice, great bar area. Staff couldn't have been more attentive to everyone's needs. Great experience all the way around!

Absolutely the best venue, best food. Very accomodating staff. Going to another party here in Oct, and can't wait!

This place is always impressing me. Over the years my family has been having events done at the Summit View and they always seem to go above and beyond. They even go above and beyond when they have no power. Sunday unfortunately Holyoke had a transformer blow and most of Holyoke was affected. However the Summit View did not let that change anything with how they run their establishment. They offered free wine to the guests who were in attendance to the event (a baby shower) and while there was no electricity they made the best of a terrible situation and handled it like professionals.
Even the rolls were not affected!!!!

Awesome for Baby and Bridal Showers and, Jack & Jills. Summit View is a nice little banquet hall for these types of events. They're also really affordable and they do a great job with the food. I would definitely recommend them!

I attended a Jack and Jill here. There are both indoor and outdoor spaces. We were inside, the area was spacious and we'll maintained. The food was good. Parking could be an issue, the parking lot is small but they do have a gravely area out back.

The food was surprisingly excellent. The room was good sized, well appointed and clean. The outdoor venue has lots of positive options. A "Diamond in the Rough"!

Love this place. It has a lovely banquet hall for functions. It also has a pavilion in the back. In the summer it holds free concerts on Friday evenings! It's free to listen, has a cash bar and food available!
Bring a chair and hang out with friends! Always a great time!

Just returned from a pre-wedding barbecue for over 130 guests. The service and food were outstanding. Grilled cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and chicken cooked perfectly with many choices of sides from green salad to pasta and veggies.

We called 2 days ahead to request a gluten free meal. The chef cooked a chicken breast with rice done perfectly and served unobtrusively.

I would highly recommend this venue for Jack and Jill's, large informal parties, etc. at the outside pavilion. Inside there was a private wedding party in progress at the same time and both affairs handled simultaneously.

Kudos to all the staff and management.

Great place to get together with friends and family

Just had our Jack and Jill here this past weekend and the place was great. Tony is the the man and did a great job with everything. The food was by far the BEST buffet style I've ever had. I would definitely have another even here if I ever had to. The pavilion they have out back is very nice too.

We just booked it,for,our wedding!! Brenda is already taking great care of us!! Personable, outgoing,knowledgeable, and has made the experience extremely positive for us already! Atmosphere is great, indoor and outdoor options. Friendly staff.

Sad that for a planned memorial service things were not checked prior to be in working order, battery placement in microphone as an example...details ...

Why does all regular foods have way too much pepper added to them. I do not tolerate a lot of pepper. I do not mind a little to enhance the flavor. Why were the meatballs and the lasagna peppered so much? I am sure I am not the only one who doesn't like hot spicy food. We can add pepper and salt but you cannot take it out. I could not eat anything except salad. Summit View is not the only place to use to much pepper.

Had a day planned, they changed the time on us supposed to have the place for the afternoon and we're told had to be out by 3:00.

TLDR: Food is good 7/10. Lots of space for events both inside and outside. Lots of parking. Summer Concert Series every Friday with an out door 1 time through buffet...If you are looking for a nice, clean, not too exspensize banquet hall or pavilion for your even the SV and Hamel's is a great place to go.

The banquet facility is a little bit dated on the inside. The chairs are comfortable, the bar is a decent size for most events, plenty of parking, and the food options are great.

I have personally been to 3 inside events and did not have any issues with food or drink, and the service was great. The outdoor summer concerts draw a huge crowd with lots of cars. They have multiple parking areas and parking on rt 5 for the late comers. The food is only "ok" 5-6/10 for the outdoor cookouts. It's what you would expect a family cookout to be. Your basic, hamburg, hot dog, or steak with some pasta/potato salad/veggie/beans for sides. This is what they call a "One time through buffet." They should just say, you get 1 plate, put what you want on it, and no seconds without paying. Leave the word, buffet out of it.

All in all, the Summit View Banquet and Meeting house/Hamel's Creative Catering provide a great venue for slew of events. From local, to people coming from a far. Good food and drinks for decent prices.

Everything from atmosphere to functionality was perfect. The staff made each phase of our event flow seamlessly. The buffet was as a phrase, sumptuous.
Don't hesitate to use this venue.

WENT TO A SWEET 16, NICE PLACE AND LOVE THE STUFFED CHEESE SHELLS !!!

I was there for an after funeral lunch. The staff were great, the food was first rate, and we were were treated with great sensitivity.

My wife had the baby shower at summit view and the food was excellent. The people setup the room and kept the food warm and we're very helpful. Would highly recommend this location

Went to a morning function serving breakfast. It was very good.

I had my daughters baby shower at the banquet hall this February for over 80 ppl. The staff was Soo accommodating and prompt with service. The food was over the top , they even accommodated for a friend who has food allergies. All my guests have not stopped raving about the food, the service, decorations, and all the fun they had. I would absolutely use this venue Again!!! A few of my friends are making plans to have their shower there. I absolutely would recommend and give The Summit 5 Stars!!
