I will be contacting Sam, as suggested, however the owner (who responded) did not address any of my concerns. It appears to be a stock reply with a little minor personalization thrown in. The QUALITY of the food has not been addressed, and therefore will require further discussion. I am horrified that so many amazing people are forced to tolerate the low quality of food offered at the Stratford. Many cannot drive, and they pay good money to live and dine here.
I highly recommend that you go there for dinner if you are considering living here or having a relative live there. See for yourself.
REVIEW
The Stratford claims to be a 5 star Senior Living Facility. Excluding the dining, I would agree with that. The events are plentiful and varied, and the homes are beautiful. Including the food, the rating comes down significantly
We are visiting my husbands grandmother here this week, and I am appalled at the quality of the food served here. A big portion of the senior living experience is dining -not to mention the importance of nutrition and quality for health and well being.
MANY of the residents here -including our grandmother- are unable to drive themselves to restaurants. Even those that can, should NOT be forced to do so due to the quality of the food they are serving in their dining hall that they are PAYING for.
If you are considering living here or having a loved one live here, consider this review, and the food. You will be dining three times a day for the rest of your life. Do you want to be subjected to eating in a dining room that serves meals that are largely inedible, expensive, and poorly prepared? I know I would not.
The Stratford needs to re-evaluate the quality of the food they are choosing to serve, and it needs to CHANGE.
