Got a table for lunch, as soon as we arrived. However we were seated outside and the table and chairs had to be dried off, still got my pants wet. The claw starter was 50.00 for 5 claws, not worth the money. The rest of the food was just ok, nothing special. 1st and last time there.

Expensive. Expensive. Expensive.

Expensive. Expensive. Expensive.
Although the food was good and tasted good, it certainly didn't live up to the price.

The seafood was decent, so my wife tells me. I went there because I was wanting a steak & she wanted seafood and a member of the staff at our resort recommended it. Firstly, they only offered 2 diff styles of steak, an 8oz & a 12oz NY strip, which should have been my first warning. I ordered the 12oz & it was laughable. Although it tasted ok, I've eaten better cuts of meat at Waffle House. It truly was one of the worst cuts of meat I've ever been served in a restaurant. Also, I ordered the french fries & cole slaw with it. Bad mistake. Worst cole slaw of ALL TIME! It was warm & wilty. The cabbage had no crunch to it at all and to top it off it tasted like the had made it in a dumpster. It was horrible! The beer was cold, when they finally brought me the correct one I ordered. Also, I watched one of the female servers pop something into her mouth while coming out of the bar area, wipe her hand on the back pocket of her cut-off shorts, then head right into the kitchen.
I guess if your wanting some seafood, it's ok, but I'll never go back.

HUGELY DISAPPOINTING! Ordered the OVERPRICED Paella for two. For starters, fried chicken wings have no place in Seafood Paella. Apparently they ran out of shrimp and tried to be creative as we got one shrimp each. Mentioned it to the manager, he apologized yet did nothing to rectify it. However, after paying but before we got up to leave he came back to us because he was concerned about our experience. He stated that he shared our disappointment with the owner directly and he wanted to relay a message from the owner that two shrimps are appropriate for this dish. I m now relaying a message to future patrons looking for a seafood meal..KEEP LOOKING. I will absolutely be reviewing Google and Open Table before making any other hasty dining options while in Key West this week.

Bad service, had to ask many times for bread and drinks, server was not pleasent or friendly. Food was too pricy and of poor quality. Got served cold bread, hot + wilted + and drenched in dreassing (soup) salad, Shrimp Scamp was floating on a bed of oil and had a odd taste and came in a kid bow (not worth the money at all). Overall bad bad bad experience. Go to Duval st, better places to eat there and for a better price.

Very very very expensive... The don't tell you the price the right way, I ask my waiter how much was what I was ordering and he say 100 and something and never told me the proper amount once the bill came, it was 280 the total of what we ate, to be honest I believe it was not worth it, it was 2 lobster, like 5 or 6 crabs legs, Oster and some shrimp so you tell me, too expensive, put price on the menu or tell your waiter to know the price so when customer ask they can answer with the right amount so when the bill come the customer won't be surprised.

Also they take long to give you service even though it didn't look that busy...

Will never come back there again....

Will not recommend anyone to go there and if they go, good luck with the bill.

Our first food stop in the Keys and we were not disappointed. My husband had been craving fish and chips, it was wonderful and fresh. I had the combo basket which was also very good. The service was great and the drinks were tasty. Seeing the sharks was a bonus along with the fresh lobster. We had planned to go back, but ran out of time.

This is a difficult one to rate. There are some really nice aspects of this place. The food, it was good, however, underwhelming for the price. The service, the lady was very nice, however, she should've had some help for our party of 14. Additionally, they needed to be more attentive for the cost as we spent just over $500. The thing that hurts this place the most are the two parrots, they - are - loud. However, I would be too if I were locked in a cage in direct sun light all day. I recommend going at night when the birds are likely sleeping. A few pros would be that they have a lot of seating and plenty of fans. In conclusion; it's alright, but I would probably try somewhere else first.

A group of friends and myself recently traveled to...

A group of friends and myself recently traveled to Key West and this restaurant was recommended as being a restaurant which purchases from local fishermen and is great restaurant. This could not be further from the truth. Our waiter could not answer any of our questions. Crab was priced at 100 dollars per pound. Yes, you read that correctly. I do not mind paying a fair price for mind blowing cuisine but that is steep. For starters, we had oysters Rockefeller which were pretty good. Our main dishes on the other hand were all very disappointing. I ordered blackened snapper and received a quarter of a filet for 50 dollars. If it were an exotic fish difficult to catch then I would understand. Nonetheless, Snapper is an abundant fish in this area. On top of that, it wasn't blackened. Still being hungry, one of my friends had ordered a crab steamer pot and offered a cluster of legs to me. I know I shouldn't complain about food my friend gave me but out of that whole cluster, not one leg did not have the meat stuck to the inside of the shell. And when I say stuck, I mean that even after I cracked the shell open and pried open, I couldn't even scrape the meat off with a fork. All of my friends were reflecting my dissatisfaction the entire time. To end it, we were celebrating my wife's birthday so they brought out some Key Lime Pie. It was literally the worst key lime pie I had ever tasted in my life. It was as if they used the rinds from limes to make the pie. As we were leaving, we came across some friends we had met on our trip and they approached me asking how we liked the meal? Not wanting to sound like a spoiled child and go into all the details, I simply stated that I didn't prefer it and wouldn't be back. Their instant reply was, Wow, glad we aren't the only ones who feel that way, IT SUCKED! Receiving this confirmation that this place really was bad to us and a totally separate group served as reassurance. In Conclusion, our bill for 5 adults, one drink per person, one person not eating, and all trying to be budget conscientious, was 400 dollars. I would like to add in that we stopped by a drive through afterwards since the meal did not satisfy our appetite. I would never ever recommend this place. On the other hand, I stopped by a lot of small Jamaican, Cuban, and local fish eateries during my stay that were amazing and very affordable.

The place is very nice and located in a hotel resort. The staff we welcoming and they got quite busy during lunch and seemed to be understaffed. Our waitress was fantastic and even provided photos of the food on her laptop. She just seemed stretched too thin.

We ordered the stone crab claws (4 claws that were considered large) and 2 whole fried fish and one key lime pie. Our bill for this lunch was $175. We should have definitely asked the market price on all the dishes as we were quite shocked with the bill- for that price we could have easily gone somewhere a lot nicer. But that being said, they advertise that they get their fish and crab using from companies that use sustainable fishing practices.

The food was fantastic! Looking back at the experience, I would order the exact same thing. The price has me a bit baffled though and definitely taints the experience

It would have been 5 stars if not for the shock at the end (which was arguably our fault, but never in my life have I paid $40 a plate for a whole fried fish platter)!

We had great service, and the food was decent, but the crab legs had very little meat in them. They were very puny but expensive. Also, we sat at the bar the bar tender gave us great service, but as soon as the dinner rush started she had to make drinks, by herself, for the entire large restaurant, and at that point she did not have time to wait on the customers sitting at the bar anymore. A restaurant that charges so much for food should have the revenue to put 2 bartenders behind the bar during dinner.

We stopped in here for dinner a couple years ago while spending Christmas in Key West and couldn't have been more happy. Our server was attentive, courteous and friendly. Doris started with a glass of Chardonnay while I went with a couple of cold Key West beers. I must say this was the best seafood we had while in Key West as I thoroughly enjoyed my Stone Crabs and while Doris has their awesome Hog Fish! Yummy

Probably the worst restaurant experience I've had. Stone crab was old, stringy and dry. One of the claws looked diseased. The person I was with got the peel and eat shrimp. 4 of the shrimp were soft and mushy. We sent it back, but the management would not agree to take the entire price off the bill! The place is extremely expensive and did I tell you the service in't very good either? This is a good one to stay FAR AWAY from!

The land shark lager I had was nice and cold, unfortunately the menu did not have anything that seemed appealing. We tried the fish sandwich and the burger both were good but nothing exciting. The best part of this while dining experience was the great service.

I wanted something from the kids menu because I don't like seafood and the waitress said if the owner saw an adult eating a kids basket that she would get in trouble. Said that the kids menu stopped at age 10. How ridiculous!!!! Hope the owner sees this!!! Your supposed to take care of your customers if you want their business!!!

Food is delicious and well seasoned.
Attentive and friendly staff. This is located close by the water which gives it a great vibes to hangout have a drink at the bar or enjoy some delicious food.
*No fault of the business. When I ordered my food they were a few flies around. The waitress poured hot sauce in a dish of help keep them away*

Food was very over priced and mediocre.

Food was very over priced and mediocre.
Corn on the cob was so cold, the butter didn't melt. Restaurant wasn't even busy.
I've ate at a lot of seafood places and red lobster is way better quality food.
I would choose McDonald's before I ate hear again.

This is an amazing place. The ambience is vey nice, the staff is very helpful. They have a good selection of seafood including oysters and everything tastes fresh.. We ordered one of the seafood towers and it was plenty of food food 5 people, also just enough because nothing went to waste ;). The tables are large and comfortable. You feel relaxed and enjoy your time there. They make good drinks and open to make different drinks to your taste. They also have some baby nurse sharks living in the water right next to the restaurant. You get to watch them getting fed and even get to feed them if you'd like. A favorite for the kids. I definitely recommend this place.

We had a fabulous meal here. It lived up to its Zagat Rating as #2 Hottest Restaurant in Key West. Awesome. Not cheap but you get real local seafood. The fishermen deliver to the dock in front. If you want to pay less, a lot of the dishes are big enough for two.

Waiter said the fresh Maine 1.5 lb Maine lobster flew in this morning.
The 12 oz Chix I was served, which was frozen, not fresh was edible. This was not 1.5 lbs and was frozen. Less than a pound and in Maine, they can't be harvested under a pound, the lobsterman throw them back. I am from the Northeast and KNOW my lobster. And who serves lobster with pineapple???
Not going back.
Tourist trap.

Edit: Owner replied saying its a 1 1/4. Not vacation. Grew up in New England
Either that's a small Chix or a very big lime.
Look at the picture. Not even a pound.

Really fresh food, good selection and reasonable prices. The Florida spiny lobsters are kept live in the bay's natural seawater in floating cages next to the Restaurant's entrance walkway, stone crabs seem to be available anytime, beer and wine, each one cover an entire page of the menu. I have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant and I have visited it in several occasions.

Let me start by saying I am a land food lover my wife Love's seafood of all types. What Drew us to this restaurant was the way it look from the road and the advertisement the company had done. I had the prime rib mashed potatoes and corn on the cob and it was unbelievable. The corn was fresh the meat an awesome cut. Served with some of the best au jus I have ever tasted and it complimented the meat very well. My wife had crab legs and pink key West shrimp. I watched my wife devour the food like it was the best seafood she had ever had. Another nice touch was that we were presented with cards that included information of the fisherman that caught the seafood. It was a baseball style card with small bio of each fisherman. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxing as we set on a pier 4 feet from the water. Anyone traveling to key West needs to try this place. The price was unbelievably cheap. Especially for fresh seafood

I am so infuriated by this restaurant that I am reviewing while sitting at the the table. Take my advise. You walk in really really excited. Then you are immediately let down by the bitter poor service. Waited 30 minutes to get service for just drinks. Has now been 30 more minutes to get 4 drinks, in which they have messed one up and forgot one so make that 3. I am well aware of the price of crab and sea food, but the pricing of this food of this food is obsurd. 50 dollars for 2 little crab claws and no sides??? I am in the keys to eat. Not get a bad eating order addiction. I will keep you posted on my sanity. For now I will wait for my drink. That still hasn't been served. I will be sending a petition around the keys to revolt against this "Eco" "friendly" cover up of the hands down worst restaurant in the America. This is a terrible representation of our beautiful country and our sea food. Thank you for reading, I'm going to mc Donald's.
