The Stables Theatre Ltd Review

Great venue on the edge of Milton Keynes. Built by jazz royalty Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth it now hosts music and theatre acts. Nice bar and record shop.

Great venue. Not too big so never too far from the stage

Fantastic venue, great entertainment from all sorts of music to comedy. Lovely helpful staff, many of whom are volunteers.

Watched a great show but facilities feel tired and there is not real clear structure to the reception /waiting area/bar. Will go again though.

Excellent venue, with good acts, nice bar could do with a better wine selection though. Lack of safe foot access when walking from Woburn. You have to walk down unlit roads with no footpaths, which is a bit concerning. If coming by car, plenty of parking and easy access.

Drinks are half the price of the MK theatre. Lovely intimate theatre.

Our first time here and what a lovely place.
Run by volunteers who can't do enough for you from guiding you to park to serving in the bar. Brilliant.
I did find the hall for the performance very hot, that might be just me, but bear in mind when deciding what to wear.
All in all a small intimate venue and a lovely evening

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. The parking facility was good, the Staff were really friendly and helpful, plus the bar prices were very reasonable. All in all, excellent! Now we've finally got around to visiting, we will definitely be back again!

The venue is great, the stages and rooms small enough to be close to the stage to see acts, but please don't expect good food from the restaurant. The wait for the food was well over half an hour, servings were not up to standard and they More

The Stables is a fabulous venue, always delighted to go. On this occasion we saw Jason Byrne who was just hilarious - a very, very funny and entertaining evening .

Absolutely amazing place, we are so lucky in Milton Keynes to have such a wonderful venue. I've had many, many incredible nights here over the last twenty five years. Seven stars out of five for the acoustics, the stablemates and everyone involved in keeping it running!

Excellent show tonight with Ian Waite and Oti and Mary's and the singer. Ian, is a lovely natural man who brought the audience in from the beginning. Thank you so much for a lovely night.

If you are a person who prefers, as I do, a venue that s more personal, then this is leaps and bounds ahead of most.... staff are friendly and the majority are volunteers too! Parking is ample and well guided on arrival... it has to be said it s a free for all on exiting though but that s the same everywhere. Have a pre show drink in the lounge area to get you in the mood... great mood lighting too in the walkway in the evening...

You should have been with us. As a charity we install for free.

Some great groups and singers. Not bad prices for tickets.
The only down sides are lack of leg room in the seats, you are all squashed in with no leg or arm room.
The other down side is the heat in there. There is no air at all. Especially if it is a hot evening.You would think how long it has been open these are two things they could and would do something about.

Great show. Staff friendly. Good seats. Will go back. Some shows sell out really quickly, so, if you see something you like we recommend you book it as soon as possible.

Have been to The Stables countless times. This evening we had our first meal before a show as we celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary. Lovely food. Brilliant service. Excellent performance from Dona Oxford with Chris Farlowe. All in all another great night out at The Stables. See you again soon

This place is fantastic, the staff are always friendly and professional. This venue is the best and last authentic place in Mk. My only concern is that Mk planners are going to destroy something beautiful by over development of the immediate area and we lose another part of Mk history, shame on you!

We saw Simon brodkin this gentleman is hilarious 150% worth the money (which wasn't much) parking there is loads drinks ice cream alcohol sweets there is pretty much everything you can want.

Best theatre to visit. Fabulous staff, enough of them to serve at a bar (rare for British theatres), free parking, acts are all up close ... & fabulous staff (so good, I have to mention them twice).

Best live venue - its all about the performance. And Stage 2 is the closest I will ever be to real talent.

The Stables is a wonderful venue to see your favourite bands or shows. Pleasant surroundings, really good facilities. The staff are volunteers and they couldn't do more for you. The seating is very comfortable with plenty of decent leg room. The sound is usually excellent for a smaller venue. It really is a little gem on the gig circuit. I highly recommend The Stables to anyone who has not been there before. I have seen many legendary international bands there and every time its a marvellous memorable occasion. The staff seem to get into the sprit of each concert which is so gratifying. Really wonderful place, dont know what we would do without it now for live concerts. Long may it continue. Oh yes nearly forgot, the booking office is very efficient, very informative and so friendly. So all in all this place deserves 5 stars and probably more.

The Stables is a gem! I love this venue. Tonight, brilliant folk with Show of Hands; next week / month, Anita Harris and Kenny Lynch. How wonderful is that?
A really thrilling music venue. The only problem for me is that I live in Leicestershire, so cherish it those of you who live near to it.
