By far the best motel I've ever stayed at, bar none! I love everything about it. The creek, the friendly atmosphere, the 24 hour pool, the balcony... everything. This is my new go to vacation location!
My friends and I have stayed at the Creekside Lodge countless times. It started off being a one time trip, but we've enjoyed the place so much that it has become an annual event with a large group of friends, where we literally rent most of the lodge. The owner is amazing and very helpful. The location is ideal. It couldn't be much better than this. At night, you can fall asleep to the babbling creek in the back, while sitting around the camp fire telling lies about the day's rides. We're a respectful group of motorcycle enthusiast that enjoy being in nature, and this is far better than being in the city at a chain hotel. This lodge is centrally located and very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is just up the road a few miles. Its the perfect retreat.
This is a great place to stay, it's located right on Jonathan's Creek which comes out of the surrounding mountains and flows at a regular pace and bounces over the rocky creekbed creating the most pleasant sound. The rooms are always clean, service is excellent, and the manager/owner always goes out of her way to ensure that the guests have a pleasant stay. I will always stay here while in Maggie Valley!
Dirty, the toilet was stopped up when we got there the AC didn't work
Clean but very uncomfortable. More Like a $30 motel
Was not impressed at all. The room was very clean. The carpet didn't look too clean though. I don't like carpet in motel rooms. We wanted a creekside room to hear the creek run but got a room near the office. The handle on the bathroom sink was broken and could not turn the water on without a struggle. Used the bath tub water faucet. The door going into the toilet/tub area was put on backwards. Two people could not stand at the sink when opening the door. The rooms were also under construction. Blue tape was found on top of the headboard where they painted the walls and trimmed out around the headboard to keep from getting paint on it. Didn't get a room to hear the creek. I checked the window and found it to be unlocked. I won't be staying there again. Of course it was time for the motorcycle rally that weekend and they were great. Very quiet weekend. I was referred to this motel due to Johnathan Creek was fully booked. I declined to put my name on the waiting list at Johnathan Creek due to the rally, so I took the chance of getting a room. Next time I will go to Rivers Edge in Cherokee. We had just driven 7 he's from Ft. Bragg to go to the Maggie Valley Opry just to see Raymond, Ms. Shirley and the guys. So sorry to give this feed back.
Large creekside rooms with hot tubs and a balcony. We listened to the rushing water all night
Great location, rooms very clean, enjoyed the river.
This lodge was kept up with nicely abd2the staff were friendly. My kids enjoyed the creek and i enjoyed the view of the mountains.
I love this place. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. The rocking chairs on the porches (front and back) are so inviting! The view is spectacular. Ask for "creekside" accommodations, and listen to the babbling Soco Creek just steps from your room. Enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire beside the creek in the evening as the fireflies dance in the dusk. It's a great place to get away from it all, but it is close enough to local attractions and restaurants that you could probably just walk. The staff is magnificent and super accommodating. There is an ample supply of towels handy for drying off a wet bike.
Rooms were clean and staff was pleasure. Beautiful views. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Comfortable, basic rooms and a very helpful staff. There are several dinner restaurants located within walking distance.
Great clean rooms ! we'll stay here again. Wish they had hair dryers in room
Nice and clean. Friendly helpful staff. Centrally located.
Modest but clean. Be sure to get a creekside room to enjoy the water as it rushes by. It also has a separate indoor pool.
Great cozy place. The living area in the main building was a great hangout place for the kids with a beautiful fireplace to take the chill off. Everyone was helpful, very hospitable, and knowledgeable of the area. We will be back.
Very nice, and clean rooms, AND pool was crystal clear, and inside an enclosed area.!!!
Absolutely beautiful! Will definitely be back! Very clean, nice room. Both women working the office during check in and check out were wonderful!
We had a great stay here! Clean room and bathroom. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the creek was a perfect place to start the day! Loved the hanging baskets of plants and garden in the front.
Nice place to get away from everything, always go there
We are just leaving there now. Our stay was fantastic. This place is top notch. I always pack linens because I m afraid to sleep on the linens in the room but our room was very clean and I was comfortable sleeping with the provided linens. The lady that runs this place is a pure sweetheart and very accommodating. This will definitely be my go to in the future to stay!
Cute and clean place to stay for the weekend. Only complaint, the beds need to be replaced.
Very quiet place with beautiful views and grounds. There's an indoor pool for the colder days. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and the staff is very helpful. It's only a 20 minute ride to Harrahs and 10 minutes from the blue ridge parkway. Theres a creek that runs behind the hotel with seating areas and fire pits. If your inclined to spend a little extra on your room you cam get rooms with balconys over looking the creek. Best of all prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back.
Friendly staff . clean rooms stay here every year locally owned
Very cozy and clean. Sweet & helpful receptionist. Got in late, 930pm and ready for a hot shower & comfy bed (pillows were way to puffy for my neck tho) Neither of us slept good but thinking it was more from our stressful, long travels. Gorgeous setting in Maggie Valley & would definitely stay again.
Just a nice place to chill. Creek runs in back with chairs and ready to go fire pits and grills
Nice place, great views, reasonable rates. Best of all quiet area. Rooms are clean, playground for my 5 yr old.. We will be coming back, this time we found it by accident.
I went for the Eclipse. The location was awesome. I had a creekside king jacuzzi. I had a balcony overlooking the creek with 2 wood rocking chairs. Beautiful. There was a problem getting and keeping hot water but the place was packed.
The hotel is so clean peaceful and quiet the owner carol is like family and always treats you that way love the hotel and can't wait to stay every time we go to maggie!
Very nice place to stay, especially is you get a creekside room.
Very nice room, a bit dated, 111 best and largest room.
A nice place to spend some time away. Rooms are nothing fancy but just enough. The creek side fire pits are an awesome way to end the night. The extra charge for the creekside rooms are totally worth it.
Clean, comfortable and quiet place to relax. Beautiful surroundings. Maggie Valley and the Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge are North Carolinas best kept secrets.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location and amenities. Highly recommend.
This was a perfect mountain motel. Very clean rooms and grounds. Friendly staff.convenient to everything. I would give it a 100
Spent 4 days here and absolutely loved it! We had a room that overlooked the lovely stream and firepit which we sat by every night after taking the bike out on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Carol was super friendly and went out of her way to advise us of great bike trips, local dining, and was so nice. We will definitely stay here when we plan to return to Maggie Valley!!!
It's old and dated but very clean, quiet, and the office staff is friendly and courteous. It's a great place to stay and the price is very reasonable.
This is our 2nd time here, and we love it Friendly staff, and great restaurants within walking distance! We will definitely be back again
Great place, very romantic. Creek behind lodge with large swing for 2, and the most fantastic rainbow last evening we have ever seen. Staff was great local places to eat were wonderful. We will be back. Town almost as adorable as my lady.
Originally booked 3 nights. Had such a good time we asked for 2 more nights and they allowed. Very nice and chilled place to stay. Would highly recommended.
Clean rooms. Great service. Will be staying again when we return to Maggie Valley in the future.
Newly refreshed, quaint, comfortable, affordable rooms! Friendly, attentive staff. Quiet, peaceful setting. Would stay here again without question! Thanks MVCL!
It is a beautiful place to kick back and chill on Jonathan Creek.
Not the best in Maggie. Great area on the creek and convenient all area attractions.
This is a must stop for us every year. The relaxing atmosphere and more than accommodating staff make for a both a relaxing and pleasurable stay.
Great rooms creekside. We left our back door to our private deck open all night to listen to the water flowing. Great nights sleep!
We have been coming here for 3 years and we absolutely love it
Wonderful place for a get away, Carol is so accommodating
Best place to stay when coming to the mountains. Rooms are always clean and they have 100% sanitation rating for 4 years in a row! You get the mountain living feeling with the fireplaces right on the edge of the creek and beautiful view of the mountains too!
Clean and great location. Fresh coffee would be nice but there is a tastey coffee shop s free blocks down.
Receptionist was very rude when I called, just asking about availability. Will never stay here!
I was pleasantly surprised by this gem in the heart of Maggie Valley. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs jacuzzi room during Memorial Day weekend. The room was huge with a "private" balcony (separated from our neighbor's by latticework) overlooking the creek and a fire pit, and a jacuzzi tucked into the corner a few steps from the bed. The room was clean and modern. There were a few items with which I took issue, however. The way the furniture was arranged made watching television awkward: you either had to sit on the edge of the bed (or lie in it), or drag one of the two chairs to the center of the room; the sliding screen door needed a minor repair; and a few slats were missing from the blind covering the sliding door. But we weren't there to watch television or count slats. Our stay was very relaxing; the location is perfect; and the employees are friendly. We will definitely be staying here, again. I highly recommend this motel.
Great place to stay in Maggie Valley... right on the river...
My family and I stayed for 3 nights this past weekend from July 4-7 and we absolutely loved it! It's Very Clean! And Maid Service came everyday and made sure we had enough towels, etc. They Always made up the room every day for us too! We got to meet some great people staying there also! It was such and enjoyment to stay there! I Highly recommend staying here! If my family and ever get back that way we will definitely be staying here!
Loved Creekside in maggie valley, very clean and comfortable. The owner is such a wonderful person and friendly.
Cute hotel, friendly staff. Clean and simple accommodations close to the Festival Grounds.
3rd year in a row that our group as spent Memorial Day Weekend at the Creekside Lodge. Very Biker friendly. Provides towels for cleaning your bike. Great experience all around. Nice rooms, great sitting area out back at the creek. Fire pits, BBQ grills, plenty of seating. The management is also great.
Great spot to stop for the night during our bike trip. Rooms were nice, there is a pool in a separate building.
We love coming here. Nice rooms very clean but the best part is the creek laud enogh to enjoy the sound of rushing water. Staff is friendly Carol and Veronica. We definitely coming back here.
We go there annually to meet up with a group of great motorcycle riders. The owners of this place are great. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Each year we go here we take a couple more people with us because the riding in the area is just beautiful. There are great rides close by with lots of twisties which everyone seems to enjoy. If you get a chance give this place a try you won't be disappointed.
Very well taking care of, clean and neat. I felt like I was at home.
Nice small family owned lodge. Great views of the river
Very clean and great location by the creek. Very accommodating
This is a motorcycle friendly quaint motel. The bubbly Creek in the back yard is blissful. Beds are soft, comfortable. I could leave all my troubles, and engulf myself in the relaxing atmosphere. Motorcycle friendly above reproach, down to towels to clean off your ride. We will be going back and hopefully soon.
This place is clean, reasonable, and like the name says the hotel is along the creek. The staff is nice and the swimming pool is a bonus for those inclined.
