The Space a Repubblica is one of the best cinemas in Rome. Full center and served by meters. Multi Room, different conventions (fantastic offer 2 tickets for the price of one). The only flaw: price drinks and popcorn, exaggerated.

The Cinema The Modern Cinema is located in Piazza della Repubblica, Rome, 43/45. To find parking, you need a little luck and the car can be parked nearby. In the rooms you can find new films with the experience of 3D. All rooms have comfortable armchairs with the support for the glass or bottle of water. My most recent visit led me to see the Italian preview of Aquaman and with my friends we also met the dubber Francesco De Francesco who poses with us along with the Mera cosplayer.
The cinema in itself would not be bad: ok screens, comfortable armchairs .... the fact is that it is UNACCEPTABLE having to put up with 20 minutes (when it's okay) but sometimes much more, unbearable, exhausting, endless publicity, moreover shot at very high volume! This practice is forbidden: advertising can last as long as they want but if on the ticket and on the screens at the entrance it says that the film starts at that time .... at that time it must start! A very serious lack of respect for customers! It's a pity because the cinema is easily reachable by metro (Repubblica) and even after all, the parking lot is in the evening without too much trouble.
Now even this cinema is affected by the years that pass. The place is definitely unreachable by beauty. A nice renovation and a cut in the price of tickets would not be a bad idea
They no longer broadcast 3D movies since the end of 2015 (Star Wars: the awakening of force was the last), and frankly I don't understand why. I hope it is because they are changing the projectors and they are waiting for the new ones, even if the salesmen have told me that it is a wanted thing. Frankly I consider it an absurd choice, especially for films full of special effects that render well on the screen of the main room, the 3 (at least one show a week could also do it), where I have always seen all the films in this cinema I regret having made the 50 prepaid card at the beginning of the year, because by now I am going to the Andromeda, which is also my home, where there is a sensational Dolby Atmos sound system and a 4K projector, and I really don't know how to spend those 35 that I have left on the card
the rooms are wonderful. it's easy to get there, to book tickets, the staff is always friendly and helpful. however the advertisements before the film last for half an hour. always. half an hour of unsolicited announcements and unfortunately they do not discount the ticket price. they would have to give back one euro per ticket if they showed up on time and their complaints ...
Frequented by pickpockets and no one does nothing I left having also been afraid of groups of boys who were there with bad intentions quite visible. He returned to the squalor of the 90s.
Very nice, well organized cinema, easily reachable by public transport, extremely comfortable seats with armchairs, very courteous and helpful staff, toilette in excellent hygienic conditions !!!!
Disabled people pay 5 each ticket, regardless of the original cost. It is located a few meters from the Repubblica Metro, now closed after the collapse of the escalator. Bar not stocked and, by the way, even finding what you need the stuff is always little at least however at the bar you also pay with ATM, as for the tickets of course! Twenty minutes of advertising anticipate the start of the film
It sucks full of gypsies who stole my wallet inside the cinema ... and let them run undisturbed. Under the eyes of the ticket workers. Nobody does anything. Now I start making a scandal due to the condition of this cinema. It was back to the crap that was years ago. Congratulations.
You know the saying "the customer is always right" and, I add, should he be treated professionally, with empathy and with a smile on his lips?
Here exactly the opposite is true.
The employees are listless, sloppy, goofy, without any competence in the treatment of the customer and often lacking knowledge of the basic civil rules of morality and education.
If you try to ask for more info on confusing ticket prices, they will reply with smugness or arrogance.
You can go to see the film, but pay, and even a lot (both at the cinema and at the bar), and shut up.
Perfect for proximity to the Metro (30m) and 100m from Piazza dei Cinquecento in Termini (200m) where countless buses arrive. Immaculate and well cared for.
Absolute liars! I was so hyped to watch It:chapter 2 on september 5th,so i checked where I can watch it in English 3 weeks in advance. But when I went to the cinema on the day of the premier, they just gave me a ticket without saying if the movie was in English or not. I asked them, but they said it's in Italian and the only time I can watch it in English is Sunday at 11:30 am. I took some of my time so I can watch a movie I was very excited for and I was very dissapointed. I don't recommend the cinema to anyone and I personally won't ever go there anymore...
The cinema has various rooms, a large bar with fresh sensor popcorn. The toilet service leaves a little to be desired for Hygiene. The staff is courteous and helpful. The costs a little high. The films are always the last ones released. Very comfortable seats with a large space between one row and another. The central place even if it is not recommended to drink or eat in the surroundings given the other prices in the tourist area. The cinema is very popular at the weekend.
This multiplex is distinguished from the others by two very important factors. The first is that the screens are all very large and therefore there is no TV effect, as is often the case in the Salettes of other cinemas and secondarily the level of audio quality. it's definitely above the average standard it feels really very well
Comfortable room. Unfortunately, due to covid, great desolation. Few customers and none of staff. Screen was smudged. Good audio. The emblem of the crisis.
Now a cinema let go. The ticket costs 9.50, the film is skipped 3 times waits of 10 minutes to restore the film and never left the point where it was interrupted. A bum was present in the hall. With this I say everything.
Rooms with space and air conditioning especially in the hottest months, very comfortable armchairs and also, with a minimum surcharge of about 1 euro, you can take advantage of the vip armchairs which are much more padded and wide. Both the rooms and the services are equipped to welcome people with disabilities. The internal bar offers a wide range of both sweet and savory products.
I have already attended this cinema on several occasions and personally I have always enjoyed it. Very central location, a stone's throw from Termini station. Recommended!
Excellent cinema, on the other hand, I know the line of cinemas attending the one at the park of doctors strategically placed in Piazza della Repubblica very close to the metro, unfortunately now closed
I don't put 5 stars for the 20/25 minutes of advertising that it has to undergo before the film starts and because I have the perception that in this time the volume is excessive, sometimes annoying.
Thanks to the cinema chain The Space, now without going too far we also have a more varied range of films in the center of Rome to go and see. The Space Modern Cinema Rome is located in Piazza Esedra (now Piazza della Repubblica) to the left of the entrance to the Boscolo Hotel, takes only two doors but is very large inside, has several rooms, some large, some small, comfortable chairs but perhaps there is little difference between one row and another. Audio in the norm, possibility to buy drinks and / or food, bathrooms in good condition ... the only problem, the ticket costs a lot, almost 10 is a price to the exaggerated for any type of film. Prices should really be revised.
One of the most beautiful cinemas in Rome and more easily accessible (just outside the Repubblica-metro A stop). It is not very cheap, but discounts can be obtained for university students or people of a certain age group. It has many halls, with many different times, so there is a lot of choice which show to go to. Comfortable armchairs and perfect audio in the rooms. You can buy products such as chips, popcorn and fizzy drinks (if I'm not mistaken, even sweets), inside the cinema.
Well maintained rooms and very large screens. The armchairs are very comfortable. 5 stars for the audio system, which remains the best of Rome. The programming is very commercial, but fortunately there are the "extras" that sometimes offer interesting alternatives.
Films that usually start 15 minutes late. Yesterday, even 35 minutes. The film that was supposed to start at 10.30pm started at 11.05pm. More than half an hour of publicity. At this point the entry should be free. Shameful!!!!
Few choice of films, the corridors and rooms even if they are clean stink, the bar, the entrance, the carpet to be renewed ... it looks like an abandoned house and without a master even if the staff is kind but not enough. Only the location is great. I remember maybe fifteen years ago when they renovated everything was beautiful and well-kept, I remember some "starry" previews and now ... certain things are constantly renewed but here only the prices are growing and lately people are scarce too. If it were not well located and well connected, no one would go there. Only the ghosts and the autographed posters would remain
Very nice in the city center multiplex cinema with more choices a day to recommend to those who want to have fun near Termini and 2 metro steps A Repubblica stop
