Probably the best part of this hotel is it's location situated between the bay and the ocean. If you want calm and quiet, the bay with it's lounge chairs and umbrellas is inviting. Otherwise the beach side has a ton of restaurants and rentals within a five minute walk. The room is a little outdated but really clean, and the hotel grounds are beautiful and we'll maintained and the staff is great. We'll likely return in the future.

We stayed in two rooms the first room we upgraded to a suit the first day at the Bayfront. The room wasn't that clean when we checked in and definitely needed to be updated. The second room we stayed in was much cleaner but still needs updating.

We enjoy staying at this resort. It has a very Polynesian feel and is right on the bay. Pool and spa are good but for the kids the free play arcade is where they always want to go. Great location, nice staff and wonderful place for a weekend getaway. We used the electric scooters to navigate the area and it was very convenient. The boat cruise is also fun.

This is a very popular hotel, however it has not been modernized and is quite old. Our wireless internet connection was poor. On the positive side, staff was very helpful. $62 for Sunday brunch was so crazy, we left. Overall food was good, grounds clean and they had free outdoor movies for the kids.

What a great location with a ton of activities within walking distance! The rooms were good, the pool and arcade are great and the staff is friendly. 4/5 due to price, but great resorts aren't cheap!

We were at the catamaran for the mothers day brunch. It was great. The food was great. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. My wife, mother and mother in law loved it and we're highly satisfied on such an important day. We will go back.

The Luau show was great at Catamaran.

The Luau show was great at Catamaran.
The only thing that I did not like was the
seating. The chairs were so close that you are practically touching the other person. Thank goodness it was not crowded.

We went to celebrate our Grandaugther

We went to celebrate our Grandaugther
Birthday Stayed for 3 days but on Sunday September 13th
Had brunch at the Oceana restaurant
The menu very limited the service
The worst we ever experienced
The waitresses only came to our table
Twice to get our order and to bring
Our check, we had to get up from our table to request someone to bring us coffee and after 40/45 minutes they did
The food was cold my Grandaugther
Did not get her dish we have to get up again and requested
the worse service Ever we experienced

Wonderful but dated. From the waterfall in the lobby to the tropical courtyard to the bird shows and the video arcade, this resort is stuck in the past. However, this isn't a bad thing. It has a lot of classic charm and I love the hotel's nostalgic feel. However, the nostalgic feel extends to the rooms, which I feel could use some renovation. Additionally, the water bottles in the room are not free, they're $3.50 with a big gaudy sign advertising their cost. If a hotel manager is reading this: give us the water for free. It classes the whole room up, makes the stay better, and will cost you $1 extra (tops). Overall, this is a lovely place to stay if you yearn for a simpler time of tourist traps in beautiful San Diego.

The place is well located bear the beach. We had a good time in SD on our first visit. There was an unfortunate incident that happened with us, but the upper management resolved it in a very amicable fashion. Jono and David were very kind to host our dinner at the Oceana , and it lived upto the restaurant's reputation. Jordan our server was very nice and we had a good time at the Oceana . Thank you for the welcoming stay. The rooms were nice and the ferry ride is a nice change to just cruise after dinner.

I dined here for lunch on Saturday July 29th. Worst food quality I've ever experienced in my life. Completely inedible. Ordered the crab fritters, a sushi roll and a flat bread. The crab fritters were full of cartilage and were very dense They were also 3 for $16 and were very small in size The sushi roll was not fresh and tasted very fishy. I had ordered the shrimp flat bread with lemon ricotta and brocollini. The shrimp on the flat bread was not fresh at all. The lemon ricotta was sour. The sauce and dough were very generic. Almost like chef boyardee. The only plus side was that our server was great and took back our food without any issues. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It was pretty bad. I felt so bad for the server that I tipped her $10 on a $13 check for the trouble. Basically paid $23 for a glass of wine and left hungry. Wouldn't wish this on anyone

Study your bill upon check out!! I would have given four stars if it wasn't for the issues with my bill. I was charged for 4 Luau's (attended one) and even after bringing it to the attention of the front desk the night before checkout - one extra was still on my bill the morning of checkout. Something similar happened to me at another resort a few years ago, so I always go over my bills carefully. Good thing I did.

Regarding the resort. The other reviews are pretty accurate. The rooms are a bit dated, but not terrible. Cleaning service was very good each day and the staff were great about working around our schedule.

We realized on this this trip why we normally stay at all inclusive resorts. The on-site bar (Moray) and restaurant (Oceana) were excellent, but expensive. The service was top notch all four times we ate there and the staff is super friendly. The Sunday brunch was $$$$ but again exceptional. Highly recommend the brunch if you like sushi, shrimp, raw shellfish and don't mind spending the money.

The extra activities were also expensive (we rented bikes, paddle boards and paddle boat), but that's expected at a resort. Pay attention to San Diego Mission Bay water quality reports as bacteria levels do go over limits on occasion. Thankfully the ocean is only a five minute walk and is perfect.

Overall I'd recommend the resort, but watch out on your bill when you check out.

The hotel is little bit like the Brady Bunch house and Rainforest Cafe combined. Super nice staff, clean, and a well-manicured property. All of this, however, is overshadowed by the sheer number of ducks roaming the lawns. They are so endearing, and now I want more ducks in my life.

I am at this hotel for a work training. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The food options at the hotel could be better. The coffee shop is overpriced and the food is just fine.

One of my top favorite places to stay at while in San Diego! I definitely go here for the views and location, location, location! Great family hotel with something for everyone! Easy walk to PB for great food, shopping and bar-life as well as a simple stroll (or rent one of their beach cruisers and ride) down to Mission Beach! The Catamaran boat that runs on the weekends is definitely super fun too! I will be back for sure!

Ate at Oceana the restaurant at the resort for Restaurant Week and enjoyed a two-course meal for $15 per person. The food was excellent the service was good and the view was amazing. Would definitely recommend sitting on the patio because of the great view. They even have outdoor heating lamps in case the weather is cold for Southern California. Indoor seating has a really cool aquarium filled with jellyfish of all sizes . Or you could sit at the sushi bar and chat with the sushi chef who is very friendly . Parking you have to pay for or you can do valet.
