For a company that apparently specialises in social research, they really have no social awareness skills. Staff are clearly trained to be persistent and seem to have an answer for everything irrespective of your inability to participate in their long-winded surveys. Once you re on their list, expect constant pestering calls from various numbers as shown on their website. Why not practice what you apparently preach and have some social responsibility by not training your staff to be so pushy over the phones?

WARNING THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR FRONT. I HAVE REPORTED THEM AS SCAM AND I HAVE BLOCKED THEIR NUMBER. I see some good reviews by people paid by them or have fallen for this very well set up scam. They do not have to ask personal questions to be a scam. Coming across a professional is all part of the act.

Initially had some concerns regarding the legitimacy of the call (I was called regarding the Victoria health survey) but the lady I spoke to was very professional and respectful and provided me with phone numbers and website details.
I agreed to be contacted at a future time after confirming their bona fides, took part in the interview, all very general health questions and I was able to skip any question I didn't want to answer.
Overall glad I could take part in government and university research, I hope it affects policy for the better.

rude spam call asking for personal information, after i explained i wasnt prepared to give out personal information they abruptly hung up.

This is a great, extremely professional centre, I really have no idea why the hell there is a review on here saying this centre is a scam, that is honestly a complete lie! This centre is just a part of the Australian National University! Why the hell would the University be trying to scam people?! All this place does is important health and social research to improve things for us in Australia. They do not ask for bank account info or any identifying information at all, it's literally all general questions. This type of research HELPS us and our country! Please dont listen to the other negative review that person wrote. Everyone there is clearly just working hard at their jobs and they're nice people!

I had a call today from a young gentleman named Hardy. I usually never do these things over the phone but Hardy assured me that it wasn t a scam nor a telemarketing call. We did the Victorian population health study and boy was Hardy professional and calm even when I asked him to repeat a few questions. I learnt that I should get a bowl cancer screening test done. Hardy was great he is super professional and very good at his job! If anyone is reading this from his work please give him a raise or something like that to recognise his hard work. I must say I look forward to another call from the Social Research Centre! Thank you.

So I had a call from this place about an hour ago on my home phone from a guy Hardy I think that s what his name was. We did the smoking study on behalf of the cancer institute I think, he was really comforting and professional at his job which I liked as I am daily smoker. He didn t ask anything too personal which is great. Thanks to him and to whoever made up the study! Cheers
