The missus is a Doc Martin fan and where else would we go but Port Isaac. The Slipway is right opposite the now-famous slipway and we enjoyed a lovely room complete with balcony overlooking this small harbour. The food was amazing (try their calamari starter and fish main course). The room was very comfortable and there was a small but well presented en suite with shower. Driving to the hotel is tight and parking up the hill required some serious walking. That is, however, part of the charm of Port Isaac and what makes it unique. Excellent views, comfortable stay, sumptuous food and great service.

Disappointing. Went away for a quiet couple of nights. Comfortable room with sea view but couldn t hear anything over the music which played all day up to 11pm! Food also disappointing, over priced and poor quality. Came home for some peace.

Spent the morning in Port Isaac alongside MANY tourists. Waited a while for a table due to Covid precautions which were excellent. As a wheelchair user I was treated with great dignity as a suitable table was found for us. Only had a coffee but the BEST cappuccino all holiday. Samara was most welcoming and worked hard to accommodate people who were waiting to have lunch. Highly recommended

During our holidays in October we stayed for a night at The Slipway. Well. If would have been nice if the bed hadn't been so small and short. The worst thing was the smell of the ventilation in the corridor outside came into the room. The smell was bad. Very bad. The smell of fried fat penetrated the room. We don't know what was wrong with the ventilation. But it should be checked and changed! We were very glad to have stayed here only for one night. We cannot recommend The Slipway. The bad smell spoiled the whole stay. What a pity.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly despite being incredibly busy on late arrival. Food was fresh, home cooked and excellent. The mussels were amazing - best I ve ever had. Hotel is in a quirky location and we had an amazing harbour view. The room was a little small but you pay for the location and should expect a small room given you re staying in a traditional Cornish harbour building! Overall a lovely stay and would return for 1 or 2 nights as a stopover. Parking is an issue but clearly explained in arrival advice.
