Our Christmas meal was enjoyed by all in the function room which was beautifully decorated to create a warm and cosy festive atmosphere. Great food, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would recommend!

Under new management since Jan 2018. Very good food at reasonable prices. Good selection of ales on and a large list of gins available. All well served by friendly staff. Easily the best steak I ve had: asked for it rare and got it rare. Would recommend to anyone.

Dog friendly too which is convenient if returning from Farnham Park.

- staff with absolutely no interest. Better pubs nearby. Not recommended. Poor value

Food was good and I like the menu but it was a pretty busy lunchtime and there was 1 guy on the bar, taking food orders in the restaurant and delivering food - pretty slow service getting our orders in as you'd expect, although the kitchen wasn't slow. I'd go there again and it may have been a bad day with someone off sick.

Great place, closing soon unfortunately but will reopen at the end of the summer (2018) when the extension is built. Food is fantastic and it's one of those few establishments where you can tell that the management genuinely care about what they do and do everything they can to make and keep things as perfect as possible. I was served one of the tastiest steaks I've ever had here and I've had a few! Highly recommended.

The only reason I gave this boozer 1 star is because I only walked past it, I honestly haven't been in there for about a year, so how am I supposed to give an honest open review. Thanks again Google.

Went on a Sunday and had a fairly long wait for food. It was busy.
Food was good and the beef was delightful ,especially the gravy.
The Yorkshire pudding was avg, a bit bland .
Roasties were good and the veg ok.
I would say the beef made the cost just about worth it.
The biggest disappointment was all the waiting. This was partly due to my partners choice of nut roast which was cooked fresh.
But it took ages to get the bill and pay.

I would go back tho as it was a Sunday so would like to try midweek.

First visit since new owners have reopened the pub. It all looked superb. Clean, tidy, fresh. Lovely staff, even though they had to work extra hard to provide table service. Great drinks range so next job is to book a table and try the food.

Went to join my friends for pudding and drinks. It took a while to get both. The venue looked pretty but a bit cold, feel like the pub has potential so might visit again in a couple of months as see if things improve. Food was good.

Popped in at 8.45 to see if we could get a table that night for dinner as my fiance had been working late and wanted to take me out for dinner as I had a stressful few days so as I drive past twice a day and the website looked friendly and food menu looked good I suggested here- that was a big mistake!
Only one member of staff behind the bar was visible although we could hear other staff somewhere in the building laughing and chatting. Stood at the bar for ten minutes while the barman chatted to people who pronounced themselves as regulars and served them as slowly as possible -felt a bit sorry for the people who had been waiting at the bar when we arrived on the other side as it seemd unlikely they would ever get served! Had to inturrupt the conversation to ask if we could have dinner, was told rather brusquely - the kitchen is closed. End of conversation. We weren't told what times the kitchen is open (this is also not advertised on the website) and as it had taken us a considerable amount of time just to get this response we left. I work in the area and was looking for a new place to take clients and other visitors but I certainly won't be going back to the Six Bells - we were made to feel very unwelcome and like we were a total inconvenience! Not what I expected from the friendly signs outside so very disappointed and won't be back - I prefer places that actually want to serve their customers!

Definitely the place to go in the area for a Sunday roast, best roast I've had in a long time. A bit slow to begin with to get seated however after we had great service and even helped out with a fussy child. Nice selection of beer/cider on draft but can't put in writing how nice the roast was. Will be back

Incredible transformation, heard nothing but good reviews since the new management and they definitely lived up to their reputation.
The roast dinner was incredible, staff were very friendly, the gin menu was a brilliant idea (although I saw it as a challenge to try each one) and after the little tour I was given by Sadie I really wish I booked out the marquee for my Christmas party now ... definitely will next year!!

Is it a bar,a restaurant or a club ? Who knows! It appears to be trying to appeal to all these areas without doing well in any. Be better off concentrating on being one.
Good , poor service.
They need to address the door leading to their private dining area from the restaurant to outdoors that bangs shut with an ear splitting CRACK ! Folk and staff in/out every few minutes,we ended up moving tables but it is a big disruption to the whole area. The servers were not good, very slow, never checked us for drinks or how food was etc. They did however manage to add food and drinks to our bill that we had to remove. I would not return.

Staff not so good. Left waiting at the bar for ten mins whilst barman talks to friend drying a glass. Hope they can fix as otherwise nice pub.

Really nice place and great service. Found this after Princess Royal became a functions only pub and very expensive. Apparently under new management who seem to favour customers and hospitality

Poor quality food, menu wasn't amazing and items of food were not properly described, food was presented cheaply (in a box) and the interior of this establishment is very small and appeared to only have 3 tables inside.

Atmosphere was nice with music at the right level so you can talk to your companion. Had the Steak which was wonderful, Speckled Hen Ale was nice and well presented Eton Mess dessert was very nice, worth the trip

We went to the six bells as a table of four, only one other couple in the restaurant. The service was shocking, drinks took forever to arrive and the food was very bland, our special "catch of the day" was dry and coated with packet lettuce. The final curtain was when the very i don't want to be here waitress dropped the content of the remaining two meals over the table and floor. I then asked to speak to the manager who disappeared and left me to deal with a young waiter who could only agree with my frustrations. Shame really how some places get it right and others get it so wrong !!!

Excellent food. Tables under the window at front of pub are too close together and therefore not very private. Next time I ll ask for a quieter table.
Kept waiting on arrival as staff seemed to be in some confusion about our booking to the point at which I almost left to go elsewhere. I do not like an added service charge. I ll decide if I want to tip or not.

pretty pub but found a particular staff member quite rude in all honesty, when my partner asked about a table he shrugged and started speaking whilst storming away around the back. All very odd! We were left standing in the doorway while a couple of bar staff bumbled around without even a greeting, we left and ate at the wheatsheaf down the road which was the total opposite to the welcome we received here. No go from me!
