The rooms are slightly old but still very comfortable. The bed is just the right amount of hard and the bathroom is spacious and well equipped with amenities. Very large space in the rooms, with warm lighting that makes the environment feel extra comfortable for the overnight guest.
The quality of accommodation is okay, but there are big problems in responding to customer needs. Please pay attention to the use of electric vehicles! ! When booking a room, one week and one day before, I called and clearly informed the arrival time to reserve an electric car charging spot and said that it had been arranged. When I arrived at 10 o clock in the evening, I found that the seat was already occupied. The car service staff who was obviously also a guest said that they could not contact the owner. They obviously took away the key but said that the car could not be moved. My mileage was 1km and it was not possible to charge. After the car drove out to look for a charging station, the car owner who finally found the space was told to move the car. It completely broke the rest schedule. It is hard to accept the sloppy and vague confirmation of the customer's matters.

Had lunch with family today. I shared steak set with my father. It is a famous Italian restaurant in Taipei, good / relaxed atmosphere, but the food itself is below average and I feel very disappointed. Salad is fine, lobster soap is terrible, the seafood is not fresh and I felt a little bit allergic. I didn't finish that soap at the end. Steak is average. Dessert is ice cream but it is not Italian style. The vanilla scoop is not smooth at all.
It was family lunch and it is me who chose the place. So I didn't complain there at all. But to be honest, very disappointed.....
Stayed in a spacy and luxuary room. The building is a bit old fashioned like having physical keys instead of electronic keys, no security on their elevator, no USB charger at the room, etc. but the hotel was gorgeous enough not to worry about it. Their service was also great, they had good English and Japanese speaking staffs.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Taipei. A bit old but gracious, the restaurant bar is great. Small and beautiful.
Location is good and the conditions are okay too. It seems to be a bit old though. We arrived with motorbikes and were granted in a not really friendly way. Apparently they don t have a parking for motorcycles but only for cars. Quite sure we could have parked our 3 bikes on one car spot if they wanted to accomodate (as many other hotels in Taiwan did by the way). I just feel this level of "service" is not really 5 stars hotel-ish anyways.
Although you can feel the sense of history, the room equipment, bath towels, staff service, etc. all meet the standards of a five-star hotel.

After eating 3 to 4 times, there is a feeling of getting worse. The first image was very good, the muffin was crisp and soft inside, but it was gone. And at the last point, the cooked rib eye, the steak is very gluten. After the reaction, the waiter said that the rib eye was like this. I don't know if it is only the home of his family. I hope that Xihua can improve later.

The hotel is about ten minutes' walk from the MRT station. The equipment is old and the service is acceptable. Breakfast is not a lot of vegetarian options. The steakhouse is good, but the service should be more refined.
