Fast service (bar/food). Great food and deals each day of the week. Music is nice with DJS. Pleasant atmosphere.

One of Sydney s traditionally pubs nestled in Double Bay, with a huge beer garden out the back and a couple of areas upstairs.

The food, well the steak and grilled salmon, and skinny fries were excellent, restaurant prices but well worth it. Great place for food or just a beer.

Sheaf has always been a good place to have a night out or relax in the courtyard on weekends. Reluctantly I have to explain what happened here last Wednesday as I tried to discuss the matter with the Hotel discreetly but received no response in the last 6 days since Wednesday night.

I was minding my business at the bar when someone next to me accused me, to the bartender, of spiking their drink. Instead of consulting the cameras the bartender parroted the unfounded and unsubstantiated accusation. In the service industry you don't get much more insulting and unprofessional. Is this what the Golden Sheaf thinks is appropriate -people are guilty before being proved innocent. And then no one contacts me to apologise or discuss the matter? You have my phone number - it's on the email I sent.

Quality venue. Beer was good. Fairy lights in the tree out the back were pretty. I like.

One of the best pubs for a meal in Sydney, the schnitzel was cooked well and chips were perfect. Also one of the best of only a few pubs in sydney for mussels!

Security at the Sheaf were all on a heavy power-trip and were very sexist. We were initially refused entry because we were not in "smart casual". After having to leave, getting changed and coming back, we found multiple girls inside that were in literal active wear. Later in the night we got kicked out for "signs of intoxication" when we were standing and waiting for a drink at the bar, same as everyone else. 0/10

Friendly bar staff but shocking seccys who are on nothing but a power trip. I was trying to speak to a bar tender to see if anyone had handed in my friends handbag that she lost and got pulled aside by the seccy for visiting the bar too much.

Wasn t able to grab my jacket which was being held at the bar or my mates and leave with them so was stuck outside on my own for an hour waiting for my friends whos phone had died. Security here is shonky and I m appalled at what looks to be a trend of disgruntled security guards.

Average food, average atmosphere, average seating... nothing special really, especially for the pricyness...
