The Senior Source is an excellent, unique and free resource available to anyone over 50. It has helped me, it has helped those close to me, and it can help people you know.

I first encountered The Senior Source as I turned 56. I realized I was woefully unprepared for life in my senior years, including being unaware of the details of Social Security or Medicare. A friend recommended that I contact The Senior Source, and they made an appointment for me with Steve Benton at in their Elder Financial Safety Center. Steve was great help in providing an overview of Social Security, including the impact of choosing at which age to retire. Steve also explained Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. The result was that I went from being uncertain about the future to being comfortable with my situation and a plan for the future.

The Senior Source also helped a good friend who needed help with job seeking. The Senior Source Employment Services group helped with resources for formatting and content for an updated resume, and resources for job searches.

From Market Center Station take 27 bus south down Harry Hines. Quiet cool/warm facility with brochures and news items with senior orientated coverage. Make an appointment for services available. It's really too far to walk.

Very pleasant folks and nice facility with lots of pretty artwork, but I truly do not understand what is is they do. I have been their twice and talked to several people there and they never seem to be able to help me. Everything I asked about or needed they do not offer. Maybe I am not their target audience.
