Any visit to our capital city during the fringe festival wouldn't be complete without seeing the tattoo. Also if you are registered disabled and have mobility issues they can't do enough for you. Even arranging the taxi for afterwards

OK so the tradition bagpipes ticked the box and the fireworks were good. There were some super weird cultural appropriations and the compare was awful! ...all the filler parts with pop songs and poor quality dancers was disappointing...very cheesy

First-class music event at a great price and with quickly sold-out tickets! Brilliant atmosphere in the open air, when it does not rain! Best international music and artist groups and best Scottish flair, as only the British get it! Unfortunately, Brexit will make it more difficult for tourists!

AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! I loved all of it. This performance is an experience! We purchased the Bruce Package, started with the Whisky Tasting Experience, had dinner, and proceeded to the event. Center sears, right in front of the esplanade. The event started with two royal military fighter jets flying above the castle! The performance is a must for anyone visiting Edinburgh.

A once in a lifetime experience that is fun to share with family and friends! Do take plenty of rain gear. A Raincoat and water resistant pants are not enough to hold off the wet and cold when it rains for the entire 2 hrs!! Buy a rain poncho BEFORE you go to the Tattoo. Otherwise, pay twice as much for one as your would anywhere else in Edinburgh.

Our 8th visit to the tattoo. The show was great unfortunately the hint of politics by the commentator was disappointing for my English husband and no doubt the other English people in the audience. We won't be visiting a 9th time

A fantastic performance, BUT. . . . My husband got a ticket to this show in a birthday present and we were looking forward to it. I think it was strange that I didn't get the tickets until 3-4 days before, but did not request it. Then the tickets came that mask completely. The tickets we got cost 1/3 of what I had paid. We also got a different location than the one I had originally booked. Then we start and check what this is. Joda - Vigogo is a company and operates worldwide. If a googler company can see that it is deception in great style. So I raise a big red tab: be careful when ordering tickets online. There are several out there that earn themselves rich at others their tiny little inattention at the right moments. We had a wonderful experience of being there and we had no bad location, but SURELY to see that 2 hours before the show there are 2 vacancies in the department I originally booked

Absolutely amazing experience, the cold had nothing on the Military Tattoo's performances (2018). Super friendly and helpfull staff everywhere! Such a dynamic shown with a globally diverse cast of performers. By far the best experience of Edinburgh, get your tickets on time!

Do Not Miss This Spectacular Exhibition!!!

Do Not Miss This Spectacular Exhibition!!!
This is a once in a lifetime experience you will never regret. So many countries participate. You get a round the world cultural experience in one evening. The uniforms and costumes are gorgeous. The precision of the marching bands and regiments is exquisite. The music is hauntingly beautiful. The castle, which is gorgeous just as it is, takes on an other worldly persona as the laser light show transforms it with each exhibition. Though the Tattoo itself varies from year to year, it never ever disappoints. The courtyard outside the castle is lined with comfortable bleachers that are tightly packed. The crowd is orderly and respectful. It can get nippy so check the weather and bring a sweater or coat. The famed Fringe Festival is going on outside the castle Gates and is bringing with entertainment. Street performers and scheduled shows abound. Tickets sell it very quickly so get in that as soon as possible. Bring your camera and your sense of wonder and be prepared to be amazed.

The absolute highlight of our trip to Scotland. This spectacular event is a memory of a lifetime. Top organized. A top-class performance. The backdrop is made for it. Would definitely visit the tattoo again. I can only recommend it.

Went to the tattoo this evening. Was a long time since I'd been and went with my husband who had never seen it. It did not disappoint. The show was fantastic from start to finish. The various countries represented were brilliant. This year's theme was 100 years of the royal air force and even the dancers were themed in their costume and performance. We were very lucky with the weather as it was pouring down on arrival but stayed dry throughout the performance. The fireworks at the end were wonderful and the projections on to the castle throughout just added to the show. I would highly recommend this to all. It's a fantastic show wether you like marching bands or not you cannot fail to be impressed.
