Fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Allocate between 1.5 to 2 hours to appreciate the vast information available in the free audio book.

I recommend you go for the free guided tour first since it makes you appreciate the baths even more.

A lot of thought and care has gone into making the most out of the Roman Baths and setting the scene for the daily lives of people living there at the time and the Baths are great way to spend a few hours learning about Roman society. Digital screens show depictions of how the buildings used to look and the audio guides are fairly thorough in providing additional details. The only drawback is that the place is relatively small and cramped and you're constantly in someone's way or viceversa. Also, additional details or features about/around the main pool would be nice, since that kind of is the main attraction.

A must do when visiting Bath. Walking right into the past you get to explose ruins dating back hundreds of years and learn about Roman occupation of Bath that is so real you feel as though you were right there. I suggest the audio tour and bringing your own earphones (old school earphone jacks) so you can be hands free. (No worries about buying them if you take the hop on hop off tour they give them to you for free)

Been a while since I ve been here. Small charge for the experience and the audio device you get with the entrance fee. There is a free walking tour on the hour every hour but I didn t take this up. It can get quite hot and crowded but worth while.

Excellent and well preserved exhibit. We spent around 3 hours here. It does get crowded so arrive early. Buy tickets online if you have limited time in Bath. Otherwise you can purchase on the day. We pre-purchased and arrived an hour before our timeslot and there was no line. They let us in anyway. Some surfaces are uneven so wear comfortable shoes. Overall a great exhibit. Comes with an audio tour and they offer free tours.

A bit on the pricy side if you just do one single visit. It's usually quite crowded, too.
But a great site to visit still!!
Do try out the "drinkable" spa water. :)

Amazing monument. It is a shame that they can't make a temporary roof and clean the water with all the money they collect from the fountain towards the end. Would have been nice to jump in and experience the water.

So much fun! An awesome way to explore the ancient Roman ruins of Bath. Go explore the different areas of the baths and learn the history of how the Romans used this area for relaxation and how it was then buried and lost only to be rediscovered a millennia later.

Look back almost 2000 years of Roman history. Technology, architecture, every day life, can be seen at the baths. Well maintained archaeological site, well trained and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Interesting site and museum/attraction. The Covid-19 measures are well implemented - you're on one long 'conveyor belt' from entry to exit where you are herded along in your timed entry slot. The audio guide is very informative, but a number of the entries have been hidden to keep the 'conveyor belt' moving. As such for the same ticket price (not cheap) you'll miss some of the information that was previously available. All this said, it's an amazing and unique site and we'll worth a visit.

Great connection to the past - you can see and touch the very structures used by the Romans. Built and used by the Romans from the first century AD, it fell into disuse later. Unlike many other museums, here visitors are allowed and sometimes encouraged to touch some of stones. Photography is also allowed

Steeped in history very interesting superb historic place to visit at the end there is a fountain where you can actually taste the spa mineral water although I wasn't keen on it it's supposed to have excellent healing properties. great gift shop and attached to the Roman Baths is the pump room which is a restaurant for fine dining. Bath itself is a glorious town would be a fabulous place to live but very very expensive

In a word: impressive. We went in the evening on a Friday- highly recommend you do the same in order to miss the crowds caused by the huge tour groups! Make sure you give yourself a few hours minimum to explore, as there's much more to see than you think when looking at it from outside. Definitely a must see, and well worth the price.

Spent about an hour. Queues were pretty short when we came in on Friday 1030. We weren't big fans so we finished pretty quickly. Was a bit disappointed because at the time of visit the fountain for drinking was under maintenance. You can't drink or touch water in other places like the great bath

Fascinating to look round and excellent use of technology to give visitors a really good experience of what it may have been like. It was very busy when we went, alot of people meant it was hard to move between show cabinets and fully take it in.

Astonishing amount to see, as well as the baths themselves there's ruins and excavations of related buildings and some astonishing finds, and more is hoped to be explored and opened in coming years.

Loved this place. A real possibility to step back in time. Some very heavy atmospheres in places. Avoid the busy periods though. It was bad enough when we went on a weekday having ignorant people with cameras taking an age for their perfect selfie. Staff are nice and polite. There is the option to drink the water.... Can't say a pleasurable experience as was luke warm and metallic tasting haha but of it has healing properties.... Worth a shot

Thought the internal tour was a waste of money. Personally it didn't grab me at all and thought it a waste of time and money. Others may enjoy it tho. Nice reasonably priced gift shop . Expensive " tour" for what it offered

Traveling to Bath from Cardiff, I spent one day here to discover around. This is a small city with many tourist destinations. First of all, I went around the city center and then visited The Roman Baths, the Fashion Museum,... they are so close, so you can visit these places at one time. I remember ticket price is about 20 pounds. After that, you can go down to Pulteney Bridge and Weir to enjoy the beauty of nature. If you like architecture, you can visit the Royal Cresent which is famous for its iconic Georgian architectural landmarks. This city is small enough for you guys to spend one day to explore.
