Coffee is amazing. I love that they use the local Shatto milk. We bought coffee mugs and coffee for gifts for our friends out of town.
I don't even like coffee all that much, but this is a great place that's very tied in to the local scene. Take a tour and learn something.
Best service ever! Had a fabulous time! Coffee was outstanding!
It's so savory. The staff was helpful and kind. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.
Unique coffeehouse experience. Batista was educational.
A really great learning experience if you enjoy tasting coffee and knowing more about the process of gathering and roasting it. Also, it's the best coffee I've ever had.
We stopped in to see the plant and to sample some of their products. Everything was great, fresh, and great customer service. Definitely a place you should stop in and take a tour.
Such a cool place to tour! Good coffee and excellent service.
When I visit Kansas City I always have to buy a pound (at least) of the espresso roast to bring back to Sarasota. My favorite coffee!
Amazing place! Visitors are able to take tours and see how their coffee is made.
Every time I fly to KC, I load up and bring home to SD. Best coffee ever. Make the Autumn Blend year round!!!!
Great selection. Fun viewing the coffee being bagged while I drank some. Friendly staff.
Great patio that is dog friendly! It was incredibly busy on a perfect weather, Saturday morning. Took approximately 15 minutes to order and get our coffee. Overall, great KC staple. A little on the pricey side in my opinion. Ordered a blueberry muffin with my coffee and it was pleasantly delicious!
In the past, I have attended a factory tour where we got to learn about the roasting process and received samples following.
A very awsome place to visit and Amazing people to work for! Everyone is always Very Pleasant and helpful! A special shout out to Stacy who keeps everything running smoothly...and to Nathan ...who has been very helpful to me with any questions! If you ever get a chance you should check it out! They do tours Daily! Southwest Blvd. Under the Big Airplane in the sky! come on down and check it out! If I could give more stars...I would!
Employees are nice. The macaroon I tried was delicious! The atmosphere is okay. It's more suited toward businessmen than just regular coffee goers. None of the coffee is sweetened (which can be a good or bad thing depending on who you are). They do have a station with cane sugar syrup you can use.
Great coffee and ambiance. Love that they will give tours about their roasting process. Always a stop on our trips to KC.
I like the Roasterie as much as anyone else who lives in KC. They have a cool Sunday brunch event and support a lot of local events. Their coffee can be a bit strong but overall its very good. They have classes and tours as well so if you are looking for something to do check it out.
So easy to find, just a short drive from Boulevard! Great coffee, bright airy atmosphere, and fantastic service.
Fun and interesting place if you are looking for something to do. The coffee is really good!
Great coffee. The tour was fun and informative. The way seating is setup makes it hard to have a conversation. Very loud.
Perfect coffee for entitled Tesla drivers with major attitude problems.
No joke, the best iced mocha I've ever had! It's also a great study spot with a nice big parking area.
The tour here could not have been better!!! For coffee lovers & non alike. The way they do business & present their products definitely makes you want to support this local company. Can't wait to see how they grow in the future!
The tour was short, sweet and simply fantastic. The guide was informative, energetic, and polite. Overall a fun experience for anyone that likes coffee. My party went with a 11 year old and although he was not interested it was short enough to not be an inconvenience. The cafe was extremely nice and fast with the orders. They have cold brew on tap, after a taste I regretted not getting it.
Great coffee, but when we ordered small Nitros to go the barista automatically charged us for two larges because they were out of small cups, without telling us. Had we known we were going to be upcharged, we would have only ordered one large.....
The owner of the roasterie is a pompous douche. Coffee is great tho.
Fun place to visit. People on the tour seemed to have a great time. Great place to have a cuppa and relax. Not all Roasterie blends are available at the factory which was a surprise. However the Jo and Go at St. Lukes Hospital stocks Roasterie-Scottish Highlands, Bettys Choice and St. Lukes blend. Have a cup or buy a bag for home. Excellent baked goods at St. Lukes also. The Roasterie factory ought to consider a shared baker with St. Lukes.
Awesome place. I love going there. The atmosphere is a complete change from a typical Starbucks. I met the CEO at UMKC, great guy too.
Tour was very interesting, but we stop by any chance we get. Nothing like going to the source for fresh, perfectly prepared coffee.
Facility was clean, staff was great and went above and beyond to answer questions during and after our tour of the roasting room.
Great place for the coffee connoisseur. Definitely take the tour it's quite fascinating learning how they came to be.
Interesting tour and informative practical details to make better coffee at home.
If your visiting, this is a REALLY fun place to check out. There is tons of local products and such that can be purchased or eaten as a souvenir.
There's lots of seating and the coffee is pretty decent.
There are better places, like Messengers downtown, but I'd say The Roasterie is in the top 5 coffee shops in the area.
My only complaint is that the mens bathroom stall wouldn't flush and it was pretty disgusting, hence the minus one star.
Good coffee properly prepared. The macchiato is the test, and they got it right. There are multiple outlets and is always a buzz. Roasterie is a local brand -- most of the company business serves restaurants and packaged coffee to stores, this Roasterie shop is one of my favorites spaces.
I was looking to make a quick get away for the weekend due to personal reasons. I saw a huge airplane and assumed this was an airport. It's not. Conveniently it's a coffee shop/distribution center. I stayed and had a cup of coffee and mulled over my life choices. Turns out my life isn't so bad after all. Thanks airplane coffee factory for changing my life. Also they have car charging ports.
I like this place! It has good coffee & an uplifting atmosphere (full pun intended)! Great spot to go on a date or to bring the family! Wanna hang out and work on your laptop? We saw that going on, too! Can't day enough about this place! If you're in town & you like coffee, please go, you won't regret it!
This was our second experience here and it was more disappointing than the first. We ended up here when a sign on the door at Baked in Kansas City told us they were serving up their baked goods at the Roasterie, but when we got there there were very little baked goods. I guess Baked in KC is leasing the space but not baking there? We went ahead and got a cup of coffee and something from the bakery case, which was a mistake; we should have moved on. My daughter ordered a London Fog which was not made well-little to no vanilla and not near strong enough tea. My wife got a slice of iced banana bread, which was overdone and dry. When we went back for a refill on the coffee, they added insult to injury and said we would need to pay for a refill. We left and do not plan to return. The space is cold and industrial anyway and very noisy since there are so many hard surfaces. There are so many places to get good coffee with a good atmosphere anymore we don't need to come here. We came for the promised baked goods anyway, which were a no-show.
We took a tour of the place and the tour guide was great. We learned much more then we were expecting to learn. Also the coffee is really good here.
Good coffee and the almond croissant was delicious!
Coffee and bakes are just amazing! Gift shop it more than a bit pricy. Didn't have time for the tour but we'll do it next time we are in town for sure.
Well worth the tour. Try the coffee flights if you want to know what kind of brew type you like.
Nice staff they also offer tours they did figures in my wife's coffee
I had a chance to visit and take a tour. (Free and highly recommended). The quality of coffee produced truly is special. I am an avid coffee consumer who samples the best wherever I travel.
Being out of the area, I LOVE their subscription service. Set it and forget it. The best part of the coffee is that until you order it - it isn't roasted. There is no warehouse for roasted beans - everything is fresh and packed in Nitrogen.
Don't usually even like coffee, but their's is fantastic. Not bitter at all. They don't cut corners with their coffee, and it really shows
Amazing coffee. If you hace time for the tour I suggest doing it, very interesting and informative.
Great spot to grab a coffee and get some work done! I came here early in the morning after they opened and started working on my laptop...it was busy yet still quiet so it turned out to be a super productive morning!!
Nitro coffee is weird, but awesome. Lattes are always a crowd pleaser.
Unfortunately there's a bit of false advertising here at a great space for a company that embraces the business of building a moderately-sized locally owned coffee company. Decaf drip coffee on the menu at one price, but "unavailable." They can up-"charge you for an Americano." That will cost you a couple of dollars more. Other than that, good coffee. Baristas do need more training. I think turnover is high.
The typical modern coffee shop, cold, too modern. Small selection of pastries, coffee was ok. Overpriced. Won't be going back.
It's okay, but expensive for what it is. There isn't much to see at the place from a "tour" stand point.
A must-try cafe for all coffee lovers! Love the plane on top of the building and the "air roasted coffee" theme. I make sure to come here every time I'm in the KCMO area.
This is a cool experience. The tour is really well done with a taste of their nitro brew, and two types of freshly brewed coffee. Ryan, our tour guide, was awesome! I tried their matcha latte, as well. They also have a wine-infused coffee that I look forward to brewing.
The shop is very cool, the coffee is amazing, they're powered by solar and have a WWII plane on the roof. What is there not to love about this place.
The coffee is amazing and the space very interesting. Another homegrown Kansas City business making our city better!
Nice cafe, something different from normal cafes. Fun first visit.
Whenever I'm in KC, I try to stop in. Their coffee has character I can't get anywhere else.
The tasting with the rose cold brew was good, the "Streetcar" cold brew with the beer can sized glass was amazing !!
Great atmosphere. Pour over was good and the workers were helpful.
Cool place to take people when visiting KC.. and the coffee is pretty good too!!
This place is amazing, it's much smaller than I was expecting, very interesting place to tour.
Waited 30 minutes for coffee and then they got it wrong
Get caffeinated and relax! The Roasterie has a very chill atmosphere and a great vibe to get work done. Love to come here on my lunch break and grab an iced coffee. A little overpriced, but worth it for the atmosphere!
Went there for the first time today and encountered pretty terrible customer service. My cappuccino was extremely dark and bitter so I asked the barista for a bit of extra milk- to which she rudely replied she couldn't give me any "free milk" and was to charge me as if I was having a 12oz coffee instead of the 8oz I had purchased. She went on to charge me an extra $3 for one sip of steamed milk and was hesitant to then give me the coffee in a 12oz cup, regardless of having just payed for one. My experience was ruined by the barista's unfriendliness and lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I will definitely not go back and will stick to places like Quay and Starbucks that do care for the quality of their coffee and the satisfaction of their customers.
Have never been, but just placed an order over the phone. Brandi (sp) was a tremendous help, and helped me take care of a special request. If this is how they are over the phone, I can only imagine what it's like in person. Thanks again.
Such a cute little coffee shop that serves big flavors! Definitely a must if you're in town
Recently visited for a free coffee tasting/cupping. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Great customer service, great coffee, fun environment!
We did the tour.. it was a fun addition to the day! Cold and hot coffee samples at the end along with cute 4 oz. glasses for $5.. there coffee is amazing!
I dont like coffee but my boss was in town and he likes trying different kinds of coffee. I do like the aromas of all the coffee mixing. Smells great. Good selection of coffee.
