THE RESIDENCE ZANZIBAR Review

I did not like the hotel ... the reception was very cold ... the beaches of the hotel with seaweed ... it is not a paradise ..... I do not recommend it to those who look for luxury.

A very nice hotel, which I can only recommend. It offers many different activities. A gym and a great spa is available. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The villas are beautiful and offer a lot of space with their own private pool. A sunset at the Yetti with appetizers and a fine glass of wine is also recommended. TOP!

Party in the high season end of August 2018 for two weeks the hotel room plus pool nothing to say good frame, good food except the water charge at each meal if you do not take all inclusive and beach filled with seaweed not practicable which is a shame because the hotel is beautiful

Lovely place with superb service and attention to detail

A stay of more than 10j memorable !! The hotel is superb, the villas (with the monkeys !!!) of excellent comfort. Bruce and his team of managers in the care, thank you again for all the gifts. Restaurant service always with a smile and good humor, the room staff also perfect and always attentive. Thanks also to the doctor, very professional and competent !! We will come back, good luck.

It have a good beach but also it has good ocean view

Truly magnificent ! We stayed three nights with our two princesses aged 3 and 5 and this holiday gave us much more than we expected. Right from the welcome to the our ocean facing villas, to the pool and beach to restaurants, everything was exceptional with first class hospitality service . The kids club was simply the best with so much kids activities and must mention REHEMA & SOPHIA, who were full of charisma to keep the kids entertained though out such that our gals never wanted to be back to the villa and made us promise them that we shall go back again for our next holiday.
Must congratulate the entire management team for always being on their toes to ensure the facility is well maintained and guests are well taken care of. All staff are a true asset to this property..keep it up!

The best i loved was the swimming pool..woh was a beautiful massive pool overlooking such a beautiful scenery, a place just to relax and rejuvenate oneself! The private villa pools were the best esp for private night swim with family..so refreshing under the moonlight sky!

There is better on the island but good value for money

After a bad start to our trip to Zanzibar, The Residence helped us pull back a relaxing holiday!

The resort, staff, food and extra amenities were essential to our relaxing holiday. The buffet menus were different every night, the main swimming pool was wonderful in the midday sun and our private pools were amazing for cooling off in the evenings.

The highlight of our stay here was certainly the staff. Always so friendly, helpful and excellent English skills made for a misunderstanding free trip and even some friends along the way.

We will certainly be back next time we come to Zanzibar.

Most Beautiful Place we have ever visited in Zanzibar.. Resort is at the best location having marvelous natural destination. Resort is providing great services, it's value for money to be at this resort, our luxurious villa was facing the huge Indian Ocean and crystal clear blue water.. It was amazing. Staffs are helpful, humble, polite and with the pleasing personalities.

Wonderful hotel we go back to France and we took in our eyes, private pool, sport of very good quality, buffets or different menus every day, a white beach, activities possible every day. To do once in a lifetime. Beautiful setting, each villa has its own private pool, a huge bathroom + outdoor shower. Very good and varied restoration. Access to various activities facilitated. Looking forward to returning one day ...

very nice staff but I think badly supervised. Maintenance of neglected villa exteriors, low tide from 8 am to 4 pm. Small beach.

There are so much things that you will only know if you organise a trip with local people's you can only find them to beach and they will come to you some of employees oganise the same but they do not go with you they will send you to the local people's so its better if you go directly to the beach

Indescribably beautiful luxurious hotel! The equipment is very high quality and the whole area very very clean. Room service even looks twice a day (usually at mealtimes).
It is very quiet, day tours are offered. Of course, the whole has its price and it is not so tingling. If you still have small change after booking the hotel, you can fill your days with activities. The private pool in the Garden Villa offers enough privacy. The villa is huge! The staff is extremely friendly, the manager of the hotel goes from table to table in the evening and inquires about the well-being of the guests.

The beach was nice but the sea was usually out due to the tide. Boat tour touts roam the beach area. Nice to see the locals in the shallows catching crabs and such. The pier had a nice hut at the end where you could book a sunset drink for two. Overall the beach was well maintained and had 24 hour security.
