Overall a subpar hotel. First time here I had a horrible experience so this time I had gotten a club level room. The room on the club level is nicer but the lobby is still pretty trashyly decorated and the service of the reception desk staff is uniformly unfriendly. Pittsburgh is not Seattle or San Fran, so the client facing people need to deliver a solid experience and not worry about looking and acting cool and chic first.
And, housekeeping doesn't replace any towels either.
The club on the top floor has a nice view and decent snacks. Another positive is that there is a nice Bluetooth speaker in the room. Of course it is only good if your next door neighbor doesn't go wild with deep base rap.

Nice hotel with a great ambiance. I didn't have the greatest of stays, but comfort of the bed compared to other hotel beds brought me to a 4 star. The location is also a huge plus. The negatives I experienced: My shower wasn't draining, my bill was incorrect, and only one elevator worked on my morning of checkout. As a result, it left a sour taste. The lounge access is nice, but not even close to menu items offered compared to another Marriott property in the area.

Extremely comfortable bed. Got a great deal on this beautiful hotel through priceline. Everybody we spoke with, from the check in clerk to the manager to the housekeeping crew we ran into, was very friendly. If you're going to use the refrigerator in your room, make sure it's plugged in! Ours was not. As a millenial TM, I'm always amazed that hotels don't include free high speed secured internet. It was fine using the guest wifi for the free 24 hours.

The lobby and hotel itself seems so formal and impressive, but our room was a disappointment. It was oddly set up, and not well kept. Visible layers of dust on the ice bucket, torn wallpaper, and clearly dirty surfaces. It was a bummer, and unexpected. That being said - the beds were SUPER comfortable, which is important. Not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but far from the best.

The location is the best in Pittsburgh. You're in walking distance to everything... Sports, North shore restaurant and bars, cultural district for shows, market square, cheap parking, etc. The rooms are huge with assume views of the bridges and stadium. The only negative is the fact that the room air conditioning didn't work great.

The service was great. Concierage opend the door for me as I walked up and then helped me select the ideal room and amenities for my stay. The lobby was very pretty and the room was very nice - spacious, clean, well decorated. Bed was very comfortable.

This hotel's service is really good! I left my flat iron in the room when I checked out, and the lost and found center found it and mailed it back to me within a week! I am really satisfied with their service and attitude!

Great, unique building, with good service. Probably my favorite Renaissance property, definitely my favorite spot to stay in Pittsburgh. Check out the lounge upstairs for a unique view of the city.

Friendly staff in a beautiful hotel.
Rooms were comfortable and loved the Pittsburgh art throughout.
Few bits of paper trash left on the bathroom floor from cleaning crew or previous guests but not too bad. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the arts district. The staff is absolutely top notch and friendly. You will be on awe of the architecture and use of marble in the lobby. The lighted glass cathedral ceiling at the top of the lobby is simply gorgeous. The barroom and conference rooms on the second floor are welcoming to guests. Great place to stay in the Burgh!

I've stayed here twice, once for the Halloween party ( which is a blast) and another time for fun. The rooms are nice, simple and clean. The restaurant and bar serve pretty good food and delicious crafted cocktails. They have an extensive liquor and wine menu as well. The lobby is quite grand. It's a beautiful hotel. Worth the stay.

Great stay with a couple bumps. Really really nice hotel though. Modern upgrades and rooms seem to be recently renovated in past 3 years I'd say. Room had a decent view but also had a nasty creek in the door as you open it. It's was really horrible. I'm sure I annoyed the surrounding rooms. Funny story had me order something from room service. When the employee arrived I said, "tell me what you hear". I opened the door really slow and it was baaad but the Miss promptly told me she heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the Bluetooth sound box in the room. I cracked up so bad. She caught that over the squeaky door either there in her ear. Bravo! That seriously made my 1 night trip. Oh and those house phones at the elevators. I WANT ONE Please!

Sorry I don't have more pics.

Beautiful hotel, great location. Staff were all outstanding; from the front door, valet services, front desk and bartenders they all enhance this hotel. Definitely will stay here again when in Pittsburgh

The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nice. Really comfortable bed. Only thing i didn't like was the TV. It was a bit of a struggle to change channels etc. Bathrooms are nice with a tub. Tried to get room service around 9 but they must have already closed because no one answered though I read a review saying they were open until 11... You can either pay around $30 dollars a day for someone to park your car or you can be smart and park it in the same parking garage as they will park your car but only pay $7 a day. (Fee for parking garage may be different on Monday-Friday) The hotel is within walking distance to lots of food places as well as the Carnegie Science Center, National Aviary, a children's museum and the Andy Warhol museum. If you're into sports you'll be within walking distance to the baseball and football arena. Not sure about the hockey arena as I didn't see it though I did see a lot of fans who seemed to be walking to the game.

Please let me know how we go about doing that because it s not an option on your site.

This place was GORGEOUS. It has some incredible architecture and the rooms are comfy and well decorated. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the portions were huge. Also a great location where you can get just about everywhere.

My husband and I had a great stay recently. We booked it only a few hours before check in, then ended up arriving earlier than planned. The service at the front desk was top notch. A young man named offered us a choice in room location, and put us in a room with a great view. He went out of his way to make several restaurant recommendations and even printed out a helpful, detailed list of places to try. He then helped us find nearby parking as it was unavailable at the hotel for our stay. We graciously appreciate the attention to detail. What a pleasant stay!
