The only thing that was okay was the empanadas. We really did not like the other food choices. I feel like the last time we were there about a year ago in September 2016 had more offering in form of how flavorful and put together than whole menu was. Now the menu is disconnected and the flavors did not complement each other, and the food was overcooked

8 course prefix change and food was really disappointing. Waited 45 min before anything came to the table. All the courses were off. They tried to bring dessert before the entrees. We loved this place for years. I hope they can bring it back to what it used to be.

A blend of general store ambiance coupled with an evening long presentation of many courses of varied delicious foods makes for a celebratory experience at the Red Store. From the charcuterie board, replete with home made butter, delicious cheeses, meats, fig spread and gluten free rolls to the fabulous chocolat pot de creme at the end of the meal my desire for a special evening with my fellow Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters came true. The duck and sausage cassoulet was delicious! Plan for an extended evening and bring plenty of your favorite wines and friends to compliment your culinary experience.

There was a moment during our dinner here last night that we thought we had been teleported to a cozy restaurant in Napa or Vetri's kitchen in Philadelphia. The dishes that came out of the kitchen were creative and delicious. Everything was made with attention to detail and you could tell they were striving for perfection. The service was equally artful in the execution of the meal. Thank you for an awesome meal, we cannot wait to come back with friends.

Had an amazing dinner there July 1, 2018. The best part is that they give you four choices of a main course but the rest is served one by one- by the time you get to your main course you are totally full and totally satisfied! The food is amazing and the service is exceptional. It is fine dining at the jersey shore which is hard to find. You can dress causal and you have to bring your own wine. The food is amazing - each plate builds on the last and stands on its own. Highly recommend!!

Found this place two years ago and now make it part of the annual visit. Of the beaten path which just serves to make it nicer. Relaxed and pleasant environment. Would be 5 stars except our server seemed annoyed to be working and unattentive. That is not the norm.

Been meaning to try this place for years, and finally made our way to the Point to have brunch. The food was quite delicious: each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would recommend the egg and bacon steak! And I highly recommend the house-made gelato as it was the best gelato I've had in a very long time!

One of the best restaurants in the jersey shore! The breads and cheese plate were delicious and the pork chop eith peach BBQ sauce was one of the best I've had. Highly recommended. Has local wines available for purchase.

After thinking every place has snarky young staff, this place proved me wrong. Twice they served meat to a Pesca, but they instantly corrected it and had two waitresses tell us it would not happen again. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, the staff knows every detail of the dishes. Only complaint could be you'll be extremely full!!

We had huevos rancheros, pancakes, a sandwich and various blended vegetable drinks. The huevos rancheros compared favorably to some of the best that I had in Mexico. The blended vegetable drinks were also very well done. Parking is a bit strange, and it can get crowded here. There seems to be a lot of attention to detail in the preparation of each dish. Everything was very fresh tasting. I don't give 5 stars often.... this place is deserving.

Tonight was our fourth trip to this one of a kind restaurant. I went in thinking that it couldn t have been any better than our previous visits and guess what? It was the best meal we have had there yet. My hats off to the chef.
For those folks who are nervous about going to a restaurant that you can t choose your own food you need to loosen up. What we were served was one course after another of fabulous food. There wasn t one course that wasn t delicious.
Shelby and the staff were terrific. If you haven t eaten here yet you need to call and make a reservation, you won t regret your decision.
Great job folks. We will be back soon!!!

Visited here on a Monday afternoon to see why it's got the best burger in Cape May county. Wow, I totally understand now. The toppings-to-patty ratio is perfect. Can't go wrong with the sharp cheddar cheese. The beef patty was the perfect portion size; didn't have that "oh I need to slow down" feeling midway through eating. And dang, I can't stop thinking about those seasoned fries. While I'm not totally into softer fries, the amazing flavor more than made up for it.

I definitely recommend paying a visit here for brunch. The staff here was great and welcoming. Also the outdoor seating is hella cute and cozy.

It's cash only, but there's an ATM inside. The store part has neat items and merch. Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu.

This is our favorite family breakfast/lunch spot in Cape May. We love the casual atmosphere and that it is a BYO along with their creative evolving menu. I would recommend reservations during their busy months.

Wow! So delicious! Freshly made pastries and breads. Local farm veggies. Airy screened-in patio. Friendly and attentive service. We had the Avacado BLT on a croissant with some of the best home potatoes ever. Wife had the crab pancake which she loved. We'll be back!

Cozy - but not too cozy - general store with a socially distant eating area. Tasty empanadas and baked goods and an eclectic selection of beverages. A few quirky knickknacks for sale along with a few beachy items. A nice respite from a day of birding, especially nice in the off-season.

We decided to try the Red Store for their brunch. Very interesting selects on their menu. Food was terrific, and with good portions. Pricing might be a little high, but that seems to be the norm along the shore. Staff was friendly too. Has a nice local feel to it. We will definitely be back.

A true standout! Fantastic!

A true standout! Fantastic!

This place is in the "hidden" Cape May Point section of Cape May and as such, is a little out of the way, kind of destination place.

This has a nice little "General Store" area out front and seating outside and in the back of the store.

The fresh juice blends are highly recommended and the food is fantastic. You will be impressed by the variety, imagination and flavors on the carte. This is hands down one of the top places in Cape May and worth the trip out of town for a visit.

This is a cash only place and things are not cheap, so prepare accordingly. If you forget there is an ATM inside the "Front" of the store.

Check it out, you will be back over and over!

A cute little gift shop and general store in this out of the way location. The big draw is the foodie level restaurant, expensive with high cuisine menu. In the gift shop, they offer some custom spices created by the chef team of the restaurant.

The menu states they will gladly accommodate vegetarians, vegans or gluten free. I asked for the shrimp & crab salad. Asked to take off the shrimp and crab and if any other veggies where available to put on, please do so. Waiter said sorry NO. I asked not even cucumbers? Waiter said NO. They charged me the same price as if the shrimp and crab were on it.

Dined in the patio under the fan. Homemade pancakes were perfect. Many sounds of satisfaction came from my brunch partners and little speech. A sign of great tastings. Coldbrew coffee on ice, was nice.

From the moment you arrive, the beautiful gardens in which the Red Store - the original general store for 75 years and the only commercial property on the point- raises the bar. The grounds are beautiful, lush, full of flowers, and the Store itself maintains the historic character. Now to the food, delicious, simple, locally sourced, fresh, with vegetarian options available, served with ingenious combinations leading to mouthwatering flavors. A total must!

Found this place this year and are super stoked about it. They serve empanadas (amazing), pastries, and some breakfast toasts to-go (COVID) and you can eat on their back patio.

I would highly recommend checking this place out and I can t wait to eat a full meal here soon

Had an incredible experience at The Red Store for dinner. My girlfriend and I have spent time and dined in some of the "best" food scenes across the country. The Red Store truly blew us away. Every course, the ambiance and the staff - all perfect. We will be back and would HIGHLY recommended to any/everyone.

Fantastic. Went there for an anniversary. 7 course dinner. Choice of 4 entrees but the rest of the meal is chefs choice. Incredible unique tastes. Favorite was the potato gnocchi with crab and roasted squash as one of the courses. Expensive but we'll worth it for a special occasion.

Outstanding 2016-2017 NY Eve dinner 1st seating. Standouts were the smoked love beets and then the grits with thumbelina carrot, along with the main course. I had the local scallops which may have seemed small, but packed an amazing sweet ocean taste. Way better than those massive (probably synthetic) steak house ones. Not only the top CM restaurant, but easily top 10 in the state. Thank you Chef Lucas and Staff.
