Hands down the best public course in Lubbock. But at those rates, who can afford to play it more than a couple time a week. Still an awesome time!

Best course in town!! Awesome greens and lots and lots of bunkers.
Saw this as a highly ranked course in Texas, home course of Texas Tech. Drove up from San Antonio and was not disappointed. Had a good time playing this links style course. Plenty of risk/reward, depending in which way wind is blowing. In More
This a fun golf course for all levels of golfers. It is usually windy which is the norm for west Texas. The facilities are above par.
They moved a lot of land to make some hill areas and protect the outside of the property. It works - a good golf course and surprising terrain changes given all the flatness around it.
Course is always in awesome condition. I go for lunch a couple times a week.
I played at the Rawls for my second time this past Saturday and my experience was single handedly ruined by the marshall whom believe is named Ron. I made my first hole in one EVER on number 6 when Ron stopped and talked to my group for 8-10 minutes as we let the next group get further ahead, which was not a problem because i thought he was trying to make conversation. Not even two hole later he approachs me very rudley saying our pace of play was too slow and that "if we drive into the group in front of us he will go apologise" -its poor golf equitte and is not safe . We were extremely rushed and he continued to stay behind my group for the remainder nof the round. I hope no one has an experience like this ons a rare golf round.
Super fun course. Not too hard not too easy.. Course was in great condition!
Great course, very fun and challenging. They host our Shriners Golf Tournament every year, their staff fo a great job. The food at the club house is great, breakfast and lunch!
No way this is ranked as 3rd best collegiate course. It is nice but not very challenging. Very forgiving. I've played small public courses that are better. It's a confidence booster for amateurs. Very limited pro shop. Staff was outstanding. Restrooms in the clubhouse and on the course we're extremely clean. The grounds are very well maintained.
It's a wonder in the middle of Lubbock. It doesn't even feel like you're in Lubbock when you're on the course. The course itself is skillfully maintained and is absolutely beautiful.
One of the worst experiences at at course I have ever had. The greens are horrible, with dead spots, bumps and patched grass on Every single hole, should have asked for a discount. Marshal just monitors constantly just looking for issues. Pro shop cashier didn't say but three words, and felt like I was wasting his time. Especially for the prices they charge to play, the course wasn't worth half that price. I'll take my business somewhere else, never playing there again. Felt way uncomfortable, I just didn't fit it.
Unbelievably great quesadillas! Delightful young ladies waited on my son and me!
The Rawls Course is rated the 3rd best University course in the nation. Moreover, the finest gentlemen in West Texas comprise the most welcoming senior group one can hope for.
Decent practice facility considering its January, course is always in good shape and the staff and food is amazing.
Great experience. Kind of teeing off in the dark. Can't see where you are supposed to be going bit my first time there.
Difficult course, but fun once you get the hang of it
Best course in town hands down. Unmatched in facilities, staff, and overall course experience. Excellent pro shop, bar and grille, and player facilities. Course is always in excellent shape and tough as nails. Would recommend to any level experience golfer who wants a serious challenge.
Very friendly staff and great food! The course is well manicured with more bunkers than I care to think about. This mid handicapper had his hands full. I did have an enjoyable day there.
Beautiful course tough holes with lots of pot bunkers,I enjoyed every hole.
I am not a golfer, but I go for the clubhouse food. I am never disappointed.
I love this course. If you are any where near this golf course it is a must play. I was driving from Colorado Springs and Dallas. They let me go off as a single with out a tee time. I was there before they opened waiting to play. I absolutely fell in love with the golf course. Great service too.
Cordial staff and precautions due to covid. Recommend this golf course.
This is a great facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you Coach G for an excellent lesson for our aspiring golfer!
My husband and boys love this golf course! I'm happy the Clubhouse is open to the public and is very nice. I don't mind at all tagging along and waiting for them. Sometimes we'll have lunch together and they can check in online while we're eating. Convenient and saves time!
Tough course in 40 mph winds. Greens roll good and course was immaculate.
This is not a typical Tom Doak project. He took pancake flat cotton fields and created a very interesting track. Worth the drive if nearby!
FWIW, Tom Doak has 10 courses in the world's Top 100.
The course is open to public tee times during the week, and you can book online using their free WiFi while you have breakfast or lunch in the public clubhouse. Anyone is welcome to come inside and eat at the bar, by the fireplace, or on the patio overlooking the beautifully landscaped golf course with water features, trees and bridges.
Great practice facility. Fast greens. Outstanding layout. Challenging at all levels
Course is in great condition and the staff is always friendly
