Excellent service and great food for lunch! Both impressive anywhere, but who knew it'd be here...

Great food, really neat atmosphere, very quaint and unique. Loved visiting the little gift shop as well. Friday all you can eat fish with beer batter made from the Lena brewery beer located next door. The entire establishment is run off solar power panels.

We always come here with my grandparents and parents once every month or so. Great food and quality!

The best fine dining in Lena. We had our wedding reception here, and it was perfect. The people are so friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Love the staff very friendly and attentive. Only small issue I've had is having my drinks refilled. Refills are a little slow but nothing to really get upset about. As for the breakfast buffet, the food taste great. Would be better if they offered pancakes, waffles or, French toast though. That is a personal oppinon however. I just feel a breakfast buffet should have one of the three options.

Wide selection, good portions and good food. Staff attentive. I had the Creamy Mac/Cheese with chicken and bacon. Very rich and enough for two meals. Highly recommend.

We needed to stop for lunch on our way to Wisconsin and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Garry was such a nice and personable server and the food was all delicious (of particular note was the cheese curds and mac and cheese). It was also a nice touch that they served beer from the brewery next store. If we re ever passing through Lena again we ll definitely be stopping here!

*SUGGESTION*
Put the homemade potato chips on the appetizer menu! Served with your Haystack Sauce of course!!
We can't be the only ones who would come in for those!

It was quite busy but our service for a table of 8 seemed timely. Some entrees weren't as hot as they should be. Over all, tasty food. Friendly waitstaff.

Food was delicious. Waiter was pleasant and wanted to please. Nice atmosphere and gift shop.

This year's Christmas party was held at Rafters, there was no issue here. We all enjoyed a beautiful surroundings with a amazing assortment of food. Everyone one went home that night filled with love and joy for upcoming celebration of the birth of our Savior. It could not be better. This night was perfect and will live in the hearts of those who received and those who served.

First thing I want to mention is this is a review of their Sunday buffet only.

FYI - they charge a mandatory 18% gratuity.

We stopped here for their Sunday brunch at 12:30pm. The waitress was pleasant enough and did a good job. The atmosphere was nice and it had a Cracker Barrel like feel to it.

The reason i am giving such a low review is due to the buffet food - it was some of the worst buffet food I've ever eaten. The only thing that was edible was the mashed potatoes and chocolate pudding. Your average complimentary hotel breakfast is so much better than this buffet.

Exceptional burger and bbq pulled pork. Clean. Great place to watch the Packers.

We did get behind a large group with our order, so took awhile to get our food, bet was tasty. Large seating area, and has a gift shop to check out while you are waiting.

The food was really good and our waitress was super friendly. The only problem I had was with the wait times. Took forever to get our checks then took forever to get the receipts to sign so we could leave.

Atmosphere is great. Food is too! And there are solar panels everywhere!!!

Unique atmosphere and great food and service. Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Saw a band on second floor after dinner. Highly recommend.

Changed the ham on the buffet. Variety seemed pretty simple. Not much added flair but good for under $10

The pork belly tacos were amazing. And of course good beer.

Driving through from Dubuque we stopped and had a great meal, drinks and desserts. We highly recommend the Rafters!

We stopped in for a late lunch on our way to Galena on Valentine s Day, 2020. She ordered the BBQ Pork Wrap. I ordered the BBQ Brisket sandwich. We shared the Wisconsin Cheese Curds appetizer. Both plates were phenomenal, as were the curds! I would recommend this restaurant! Easy in and out right on US route 20.

I agree the service can be slow but not the norm. We pass by The Rafters on our 3 hr drive to our hunting cabin in Galena from NW burbs of Chicago. And when we get to stop for dinner at The Rafters we're so excited! Every dish we have tried there just keeps getting better and better! We had the filet minon and the UNBELIEVABLY UNIQUE artichoke and spinach dip smothered chicken breast with real grated cheese. Holy Mother of God! SO GOOD! The time before that I ordered the hamburger of the week or month? It was....get this...a CAPRESE burger! Mozzarella, tomato and balsamic vinegar but with pesto! Such a refreshing newness to a burger. Now what the heck and I going to order now that I have several faves!??? Don't forget the haystack onion rings! Their chef(s) seem to be among the best! Limited lunch menu. Wrap was fine. Chips were too salty. Ambience is nice. Giv it a try if your passing through.

The buffet was good, the waiter did not check on us enough though, but they got a big tip from us since we were a big group.

it was not a real good experience for me... Make sure you make a reservation! Even with a reservation it took quite awhile to get a table...
I did not have good luck with the prime rib had to send it back is it was very dry and tough! We were short on waitresses so the service was just okay! Probably would not go back!

We did the brunch buffet. It was excellent, a great selection of foods to eat. Also had a side of sweet potato tots and they were fantastic!

Service was slow but i think they had her working front n back and the back two servera. Cornbread was great. Tried local brew. Order brisket it was out. However pulled pork was spot on. Mac n cheeae forgetful

Eight of us and not one complaint. Alexa our server was very corteous and helpful. Had our own area were everyone could be heard. Reasonably priced menu and great variety.

My wife and I took our son and his wife out to lunch for his birthday. First time here. I was impressed with the food and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. The employees are very friendly.

The food is not very consistent. We've been sometimes when it's been great and others when it's barely okay. The water tastes terrible! Choose a different beverage!

Food was very filling. Brought home a full box between us. We had chicken bacon Mac and cheese. Very creamy and filling. Waitress was excellent.

My husband and I decided at the last minute to go out for dinner on Valentine's Day, and so I called the Rafters to see if we had any chance of getting a reservation last minute. They got us in no problem! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was great! We really loved the cheese fondue appetizer, so I really hope they have it again, because we will be back for sure! Great last minute date night on Valentine's Day :)

Too pricey for what you get, including the service and not having enough food

Attended a birthday brunch celebration. A great offering of choices. Only complaint was sausage gravy cold. Waitress had plates on our table for repeated visits for food. Priced perfect at $9.99! Fair bloidy mary. Prefer made from scratch.

The food and service was excellent. We had a large party and we were happily accommodated by the staff. Best cheeseburger I've ever had in a restaurant. I'm going back for sure!!

I am so glad we decided to have dinner at the bar. Erica was amazing! Great service and the food is wonderful. You will pay a little more here than the average restaurant, but it is an above average place.
