Great ice cream plenty of flavours to choose from will be back

Had some really lovely coffee and salted caramel ice cream. I wish they posted the hours of the store somewhere, we had to go by three times before we randomly realized they had opened for business at some point during the day.

Super big single cones in lots of different flavours. Raspberry ripple had big chunks of raspberry in it! No seats inside for sitting down.

I enjoy ice cream to be honest. Been here 2 times. Previous time, taste of ice cream was fantastic and customer service excellent. 5/5 . No complaints.

This time, which was yesterday, old lady who serviced us definitely had attitude issue. My oldest daughter noted this also. I ignore this to bad day.
Ice cream was really terrible. Very icey. Very tasteless. Disappointed. Next time, will goto Oban chocolate company instead.

Homemade ice cream. Bullets cost more than usual in Germany, but one bullet is more than enough for that. Nice waitress who brought a replacement to a child who dropped his ice cream in front of the shop immediately (free of charge) without being asked.

YUM! We tried Turkish delight, white chocolate and choc mint. Every flavour was spot on. Recommend!

Great ice-cream with a beautiful view of the harbour. Coffee, Oreo, toffee cheesecake and chocolate all fab. Good serving portions too!

I used to come here all the time but since new people took over the lady whom was in charge on my last visit was extremely rude and the prices of tubs have got too expensive I asked if they had anymore vanilla then I looked and saw there was enough for a good 3 scoops she turned and looked at the man behind her and he shook his head she then said nope and I watched as he carried the tub into the back and made himself a tub of the remaining icecream seriously?! I was so shocked but didn t want to make a fuss as they seemed kind of confrontational as they were with a man in front of me previously. Instead I got bubblegum flavour which was quite milky and lacked flavour and a small scoop of white chocolate which was milk taste. but I just wanted to grab it and go as it was for my partner who was waiting in the car with our son who was upset. she then (and I kid u not) scooped the bubblegum scoops onto a napkin and placed it into the tub then placed another napkin on top so they were stuck. I got annoyed and said oh come on now u don t need to wrap icecream with napkins do u? She claimed everywhere does that it is how it s gets presented I actually laughed at that she couldn t be serious could she? I paid a small fortune which left my Partner picking napkins out of his icecream which for me was entertaining but that lady shouldn t be aloud to work where she has to deal with people everyone that stepped in during the time I was there complained what a joke stay away!

Ice cream good enough but opening times not displayed which makes it hard to know when to go, and is cash only.

Oreo ice-cream was absolutely brilliant. If you are lucky then you'll probably get it :) Must try in Oban.

I don't think I've ever written such a poor review for any business as I always try to see the good things in people.
Our dog had an accident in Oban and everyone was so helpful but the poor thing had to spend three hours in the vet. On the way back to our car we stopped at the Pokey hat, bought ice cream for my wife and I and then I saw the slush machine and thought our dog might like something cold to lick as it was so warm.

Didn't get a chance to have an ice cream as closed but love the name and decor

Very expensive and tasteless!

The quality is bad, you feel the ice crystals, it's not creamy. Vanilla tasted like nothing, chocolate was very weak.
In my opinion, the store is too dirty to serve so perishable things.
Update after 1 hour: My friend and I both had a sinking feeling in the stomach and did not feel so good.

Went to Oban with a group of friends last weekend and along my travels I came across this lovely little ice cream shop where I was welcomed in by a grand group of girls who's playful banter was, how you say "on point". I am very greatful I stumbled across this place as it topped my weekend off with great tasting ice cream and however a warm feeling in my heart. I am sure to make the pokey hat the first place to come to on my next visit to the lovely town that is Oban

The ice cream mainly tasted like milk and nothing else, even though I had the white chocolate taste. Maybe we are spoiled in the Netherlands, but the quality of the ice cream was not great. The price-quality ratio was simply not right.

Expensive! (One big ball 2.25 pounds)

White chocolate (a very difficult ice cream, since white chocolate is almost just fat and sugar) does not taste good. Pity!

I will next try the Italian burger shop, where the scoop of ice cream (white chocolate also available) costs 2 pounds.

Best ice-cream ever especially the big dipper cone which gives you 6 scoops for the reasonable price of 12 pounds.thr flavours are unique, like Parma violet and toffee ripple which taste delicious and with the massive cone they give you a lot of flakes, wafers ect and it isn't too difficult to eat as they provide spoons. The ice-cream doesn't melt quickly and is delicious

Surly staff refused to offer tasters, so no idea what the ice cream was like. They said they didn't offer tasters because it was too busy in the middle of summer. It was the middle of April.

Ice cream is OK but in warm weather they give it to you slightly melted (it is very hot inside the place). Girls working over summer are very nice but before peak season workers do not make you feel very welcome, especially if you bring dogs.

Best ice cream in Oban. I'm not local to Scotland and when I go I always try and go to oban for a few hours. So much choice in ice cream. I had a chocolate orange one. It was amazing!

Fantastic ice cream with a good range of flavours. I loved the one with the toffee pieces, but everyone in the family was happy with their choices.
Will be back if we visit Oban again.
