came here for lunch; they have reasonably priced food, had friendly waitress, wasn't crowded & had a very different very delicious cheeseburger(was like a salad on top of the burger instead of normal lettuce and tomato, was amazing and unexpected). would definitely recommend visiting this place

Definitely a hopping place on a Saturday night, but go early because by the end of the night it gets so crowded it's miserable. The music/dj is usually great but the bar definitely draws a younger crowd.

This place had pretty solid food. I got the chicken tenders, friend calamari, a pear salad and a Blue Moon and greatly enjoyed all of these. The pear salad has slightly too much dressing and they should put this on the side so that customers can choose how much they want. We had plenty of room for three at our table on the end upstairs. They had flowers and a candle lit. The menu has a lot of food and drink options! They played good music. The bathroom was so nice set up with a candle, flowers and hand lotion! The server was not the most attentive, but did his job ok. I would go back!

We had very good bar dishes for a light supper. The fish and chips were very good. Order the large size if you are hungry. The small is a snack size. The atmosphere was very good, with the music at a reasonable volume that allowed conversations to be carried on.

We reserved the upper floor for a group event. Despite the food being ordered en masse, every plate was prepared with care and attention to quality. Every member of our party of 40 enjoyed each course. This is our go-to spot for events in Philadelphia and I don't see us changing venues any time soon.

This place is magnificent the bouncer really makes the whole place but the staff are great as well server Megan is sweet and diligent the music mixes both holidays and everyday stuff it s truly all phenomenal. The location is clean and well maintained establishment is something that shows its worth the clean up all breaks or spills immediately and the food is authentic an to die for the manage Eric and security keep the place safe and clean for all guest safety convenience and enjoyment. Alex the security was exceptionally diligent and careful of all customers etc. Ollie was a wonderful bartender and made a wonderfully organic cocktail originally to the location and the person who made it check out Ollie if you have a chance she makes an awesome experience.

The food was so-so. If you're coming here though it's probably for drinks at night, which it's usually crowded with college aged kids. If that's what you're looking for, this place is perfect!

The Plough really has to be up there as one of the best pubs in Birmingham. I went recently for a meal on the 2-4-1 Pizza Monday and it was fantastic.

Even though it was a Monday, the place was packed so I would recommend booking if you're going for a meal - we very nearly didn't get a table. The decor in The Plough is a stylish mix of traditional and urban, and has some great feature points. There's also an outside beer garden which looked great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though they were clearly run off their feet.

An alright place to go out in old city. Plough the stars is notorious for letting in way to many people. I wonder if the Fire Marshall got word of what goes on here what they would do. Their drinks are on the pricier side, but they do not skimp on alcohol. Their bouncers are kind of jerks but I've encountered worse. Not exactly for dancing; more of the grind that crotch on her ass kind of place.

I rarely order red meat, and save ordering my steak when I know it s going to be a great experience. The menu looked tasty and I went for the NY Strip. I was not disappointed. Service was great and the joint was lively but not too noisy. Will come back again.

Best of the best bars in old city. Food is great. Service good. Make sure you ask for John Joe when you visit. Makes you feel at home and one amazing bartender & comic. Try the portabella fricasse and their wings.

Good drinks, nice snacks, three screens, two of them huge projectors, all streaming basketball games from TV. Live DJ taking requests, and room to dance among the chatters and drinkers. Saturday night t'was.

I like this place. Just dont order anything that is too fancy, just stick to the straightforward dishes and you wont be disappointed. Bit cramped too, tables are so close together that you feel like you're eating with strangers. Prices are reasonable for center city Philadelphia and the service is fantastic, very friendly and attentive staff. Great atmosphere for a night out drinking but not so great if you want a quiet dinner.

We came here three days in a row because everything is so dang good. Was visiting a friend that moved into the area and went for drinks... ending up going back for dinner... and then went again for brunch and let me tell you every penny spent here was well worth it. Great food, even better drinks, AMAZING staff and the BEST atmosphere! Props to management you all are doing everything right. Highly recommend!!!

This is a true Irish bar! Excellent food, great drink selection, lots of whiskey and bourbon, proper pouring system for Guinness. I typically go for Poor Man's Black Velvet (half Guiness and half Magners cider) and my dinner of choice is the lamb lollipops. HUGE screen tv for sporting events (even the derby, hurling, etc.). DJ on Fridays and Saturdays and every Sunday, they have a traditional Irish music session.

waitress was amazing. Her suggestions made enhanced the whole experience , from her suggestions to let them slightly burn the hash browns to her explanation on the different bloody marys. I would definitely recommend The Plough.

can't beat the cozy bar atmosphere with always friendly bartenders ready to pull a pint of guinness. some of the spark seems to have gone out, but dishes from the relatively uninspired menu still tasty.

The happy hour drinks are underwhelming at best but the interior decor is very open and welcoming, and vegan chef Zivkovic's meatless Monday specials were truly top notch. I'll definitely come back on a Monday evening.

We had a great dinner last night. (Shane?) I believe was our server and was amazing. Enjoyed the shepherd's pie, brussel sprouts, burger, and vegetable soup with some beers. Definitely recommend.

Warm, inviting atmosphere paired with a mostly-authentic brunch and dinner service. Full-disclosure: I was sold on this restaurant the second they offered the house made soda bread, but needed to write a review after trying their Irish brunch. Their bottle list is expansive and dinner offered many American and Irish bar entrees and snacks. Service was near excellent, and their projectors gave a great view of the game. Only downside was the less than stellar draft list. All and all, a great go.

A great place to slip in and catch one of the afternoon World Cup matches. Crowd/atmosphere was friendly and casual, bartender attentive, and my beer was good. Added bonus: the bread pudding was pretty baller.

I took advantage of the first beautiful spring day and had lunch outside at The Plough & the Stars. It was my first time there and I ordered a light salad (which was fabulous!) and my server recommended a perfect IPA. While I was getting ready to talk with my server, one of my iPhone AirPods flew out of my hand into the storm drain below my seat. I just chalked it up as "Oh well...first world problem! I'll order another pair from Amazon" and moved on. A little later, another employee stopped by my table with the lost AirPod in his hand! This *very kind* young man went into the basement and retrieved my AirPod from that yucky, ancient storm drain! I cannot even tell you how much that generous act of kindness made my day!!! Thanks again; I'm so grateful! I'll definitely be back to The Plough & the Stars for the yummy food/drink and excellent service! :)

Had a wonderful evening with my friend and her adorable dog. Staff was so friendly and made some excellent recommendations. Food was delicious. Sorry that we weren't there for their love jazz nights, but that is an incentive to return soon.
