A fun Irish pub with really friendly staff. We ordered off of the bar menu since it was around 3 PM when we went. There are some great appetizers that can be shared. They have an extensive beer list and alcohol selection at the bar.

Pough & the Stars is always super-friendly and offers good food at reasonable prices. I've been impressed with their seating outside and safety measures during Covid. They mark signs on their tables after they are sanitized and keep everything clean. This is a great neighborhood place.

Last week was the first time we went to this place. But It is surely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the good service, with the first-rate dishes and booze and with the decent cost. We will absolutely visit there soon.

Nice happy hour. Enjoyed my first Philly Cheesesteak sandwich here. There was also a group of musicians playing traditional Irish music. The atmosphere was historic with splashes of modern.

A beautiful, cozy place with people watching tables outside in Old Town. Sarah, was very attentive, making sure we knew about specials and what was good for our tastes. She answered all questions and made sure we were happy. She was definitely instrumental in the great experience we had. The food was icing on the cake. The Guinness beef was absolutely melt in your mouth good. The mushroom fricassee (sp) had all the richness of Ireland s countryside on an autumn evening. You won t be sorry you stopped here. Tell Sarah, the girls sent you.

A few friends and I went here on a Saturday night to the bar!!! It was an awesome time. I would definitely recommend going here for a night out. They play great music and have a top and bottom floor!

Love this place. From partying on a busy weekend night, to Sunday brunch, to getting a pint on a random weekday, always have a great time here. A solid Irish pub, so make sure you drop by if you're in Old City, Philly.

Just finished the best meal I have had in a long time! I love Irish comfort food especially with horribly cold weather like we have had. From the time I was seated I felt like I was at home. Rosemary our server was very knowledgeable and just a sweetheart. She recommended a dish for me and nailed it. Definitely get the Duck Confit & Lamb Chop. It was just so delicious. If you want amazing food, great atmosphere, and a great pub! This is the place to be.

Have never been there before 10pm, so can't comment on food or daytime/early evening atmosphere. At night, "the Plough" attracts primarily a 20s-30s crowd. Good DJs that play a mix of 80's through the new stuff. Not too heavy on any one genre, you won't get pounded with EDM all night here. Has been one of my go-to places in Old City for the last 8 years I've lived in the area.

It was a beautiful day to grab lunch after the Headhouse Farmers Market. The alfresco dining is great, service is good and the menu has great options.

We shared the crab cake sandwich and weren't disappointed. There was plenty of crab and just enough breading to hold it together.

If you are checking out the historical sites and want to grab a good meal, definitely stop in.

Everything was amazing.... great little appetizer, amazing drinks (the warm apple pie drink was sooo good!)...chill atmosphere with a fireplace. Just as i was saying how i cant wait to come back, i looked up and a cockroach was climbing up the wall next to me. Broad daylight and people around. I was horrified! Clearly they have a problem.

After a movie at the Ritz, we walked to The Plough and the Stars for a late, light dinner. We ordered and shared the Tapas plate and the Chicken with Irish curry. Both were very good. He ordered a hard cider on tap; I had a glass of wine. There was loud music playing. We were able to hold a conversation with some repetition. Our server, Cassie, was attentive and helpful.

Great food and atmosphere. Live Irish music inside that is spacious and well laid out. Had the seafood chowder and shepherds pie and both were delicious. Has limited outdoor seating during the summer months but the street noise is a bit too much for me. A must stop if you are in olde city.

Love this place. Great place to watch a game, grab a Guinness, or even just grab dinner. Food and service is excellent. Great for crowds of people or an intimate setting. Best Bar in the City.

The Plough and the stars was recommended to us for brunch. It was a wonderful choice. Our server was pleasant and gave us awesome table service. The steak and frites was phenomenal. Fish and chips was also good. There was live Irish music and a definite Irish feel. Great atmosphere to enjoy brunch. We will return!

Our server Emily was wonderful. She gave us the amount of time we needed to order, but was always there when we needed her. Her drink recommendations were amazing! The atmosphere was wonderful and we really enjoyed how pleasant all the staff was. We had the salmon sliders, Brussel sprouts, and fish and chips. It was some of the best food we ve ever had!!! I m a local photographer and love having a great spot to recommend to my clients. I ll certainly be spreading the word about this place!

I admire this place! They give first-cleass food, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real pro, I enjoy very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh, the service towards the guests is helpful. I visit often this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend this place.

Cold food, courses rushed on top of one another, warm white wine...and a pleasant smile. Yep, feels like Ireland. Will I go back? Nope, too many other places in the world to explore. You should consider the same.

The food here is fantastic, great atmosphere, and awesome service! My favorite on their lunch menu is their cheesesteak and on their dinner menu, the Hudson Valley duck. Their menu does rotate so they don't always have the same dishes, but I've always a great meal here.

Great Irish pub in Philadelphia with solid fish and chips bar side. Interior of the bar has an authentic feel and service was friendly. We ate around 4 so the full menu was not yet available, but was still good enough!
