The Peterson Garden Project is a wonderful non-profit that has taught me so much about how easy it can be to grow and prepare my own food! I've gardened at Vedgewater for the last 3 years and have enjoyed it as well as enjoyed some of the free public offerings/entertainment at the site. Check out the PGP website...there's something for everyone!

Dope!

Wilson yards garden

Wilson yards garden
2020: this year was marked with no water until July and irregular water through the remainder of the year. They also locked up all the tools in a shed and won't give the code to anyone so this garden is bring your own everything. This is such a poorly ran garden and is an embarrassment to the people running it. They seemed to have checked out and don't care just want there check every year for a spot. Needs a new management group that cares about community gardens.

2018: These people are a bunch of liers about opening the Wilson garden. There has not been enough rain to delay pouring a simple slab of concrete for a month. They took people's money for this, we have plants we bought and are delaying three times. This is a scam and they need to get it together and stop lying to people and refund the money as nothing will be able to grow at this point.

A thriving community garden that looks to persist under the stewardship of organization Director Lamanda Joy. Definitly visit their website to get involved. They offer gardening classes in Rogers Park and have several gardens on the North Side.
