Well, the truth is that we arrived at noon and he was alone alone and they charged us cover, if this alone they should not charge cover, they were just drunk, I did not kill the place

Great venue for a casual dinner with the family or a fun night out with a live band.

Very poor experience. Walked in, server promptly tells us, "im the only one here right now, so its gonna be a while." Didn't even say, sit where you like (plenty of tables open). Honestly sounded like she didnt even want us to stay.

We sat down for 10min without any service. Manager, bartender, and server all walked past multiple times without even looking at us. Now very clear they didn't want our business, we left.

I understand being busy if youre the only server, but there were only 5-6 other tables sat down and they all had food. Not sure what else was a higher priority.

Sounds like bad management to only have 1 person working during lunch, couple that with an employee with a bad attitude and you make a very poor experience for customers.

Go to Kickstand or Midwood Smokehouse if you want good food and good service

WOW, what a nice casual atmosphere for a Sunday brunch. We had the funnel cake fries for an appetizer, and so glad we did! Then came the chicken and waffles which were just as good. Can't wait for Spring to kick in and enjoy the patio seating on another visit very soon.

Place has changed since last time I visited. Menu has gotten smaller. Food is ok

Mediocre all the way. The only good thing about this place is the rooftop, which was closed on a Sunday when I went there. I've given this place 4 chances and each one fails. I won't return.

Place has really gone down hill with their hospitality and food

So my boyfriend and i went there this past Monday, around 6-7pm there was two waitresses, and around 5 costumers, so it wasn't busy at all. We sat in the front patio only because we wanted to sit outdoors and they were not offering service at the roof. The front patio was very filthy (empty used foam cups on the the tables, used napkins in the floor and the chairs were not organized, they were everywhere). The service was not bad but the waitress was not pleasant either.

Tapas, drinks, and eclectic fare in plaza midwood. A bit pricy and lacked drink specials.

Worst service. Waited an hour plus for an appetizer, then another 30 for my check. Then to find out they don't take my card (discover). Very disappointed.

Menu items are more breakfast which is great if you re into breakfast foods all day. But overall good food and great views of the city on the roof.

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch as newcomers and we enjoyed it. The location was nice and we ate outside under the pergola (very relaxing). He ate the chicken and waffles and I had the "redneck garbage plate" and I loved it. The menu was a bit limited though.

The food was great the prices were very reasonable and the service was terrific

Came here with some friends for brunch on a Sunday, and can definitely understand why it is a popping place! I got the avocado toast and it was pretty good. The only suggestion I have, is to actually have the avocado toast on a plate instead of a board. The aesthetic was on point, but the convenience - not so really. But would definitely come again, obviously not a deal-breaker.

Very friendly staff and the view of uptown from the roof is one of the best around.

The rooftop here has a great view of the Charlotte skyline. The food menu is a bit peculiar with things like "Gypsy Schnitzel", Chicken and Waffles, Burgers, Korean Bibimbap, and short rib grilled cheese. The food is good. There is sometimes a short wait, especially for the rooftop, so make a reservation even if you are going to be there in 20 minutes. There is a pool table, ski-ball, basketball, and a juke-box in a room on the 1st floor. Street parking is sometimes hard to find.

After the new ownership this place has really turned into a crapper. I wanted to take my date to the rooftop with a drink to show her the view of the city and they would not let us, claiming it's closed; but, then a few moments later some other folks walked in, did not order anything and we're allowed to go up. Only difference I saw was my skin was darker than the other folks. The service was horrible as well, we waited super long for a drink, something as simple as water! We decided not to order food, because of how bad the service was we left after our drink. Even after asking for the tab, getting a hold of someone to run the card took forever.

Awesome bar! View from this place is incredible! They have potential to do some cool stuff with their rooftop with place, put like a fire pit up there or even a retractable roof so it rains at night, they can still use it. The bartenders were very Ty and Nick. Come by and check it out!

The food here is different but very very good. On this trip we had pretzel sticks and jambalaya fritters. The fritters were interesting and spicy. The sauce for then was really good. I even used that sauce to dip my pretzels in! We then moved to a party where they had several good items. My favorite being the bruschetta and the chicken skewers being another. Very good. They do a lot of funky types of mules here and on this trip I tried an apple pie one. Different. Good. A bit on the sweet side for a typical mule drinker but I give it a thumbs up. They also do really good mojitos. It's typically my drink of choice when I'm here. Recommended for food and cocktails. Oh and the rooftop view of the city is amazing. Terrible parking but worth a walk if you can't find something close by.

Very good establishment. Did not have live band, and was expecting to close within a week, but the food was still good. The staff were extremely friendly, and the drinks were awesome. The bartender there name Cody had EXCELLENT customer service skills and treated everyone that walked through the door with welcoming arms. Just learned of this place during this visit to Charlotte and would love to come back if they werent closing.

Came here for a Father's Day brunch with the family yesterday. It was very busy in here. We waited for over 40 minutes to get our food, and the waitress messed our order up when it finally did come. After lots of waiting to get the food out and order right, the food WAS very tasty. I'm giving this 5-Stars only because the manager Dan was a rock star. He sincerely apologized for the mistakes, bought me a Stella, and took one entree off, and invited us back to see the positive changes they will be making! He was very attentive to the restaurant. My wife was very impressed with him. We will be back to the peculiar rabbit soon!

We walked in and heard 3 people complain about the service and the wait but we stayed anyway and we waited 30 mins just for someone to come to our table to tell us they were having problems and to be honest, you should go somewhere else said the waitress. Not a good look for the place.

Awesome drinks! My server was Kyle and he crushed it even though he was very busy. I love dining on the rooftop! Also pool is free and brunch is exceptional!

Definitely not a place to go for lunch/brunch. Place was busy but not slammed for Sunday brunch, and it took for 15 minutes for a mimosa and bottled beer, and 40 minutes for food. Draft list very underwhelming, with few local options. Food was very average, but not bad. Cool place, definitely would like to go back for drinks sometime. Just don't go here looking for a quick bite to eat.

The food is always just ok. Went to the bar last time and the girl didn't offer me a menu. Had to flag her down from chatting with friends in the corner to get a menu and order food. Then the food came out and I had to get someone else to get silverware for me. She never checked to see if I needed anything. So, I only go if other people are going or if it's the only option at the time.

What can I say about this place. The food was amazing and so was the drink. The vibe in here was very chill and laidback. Kind of cool that had a few games that you can play in the back/side room? I had the short rib grill cheese and blue mermaid it was so good. I'm happy my roommate told me about this place it was so worth it.

Enjoyed. They are changing their menu, so some of the things I was interested in ordering they no longer had. Food was delicious, great atmosphere, nice staff.

Honestly pretty disappointed with my visit today. Walked in at 1:50 pm and a BOH worker comes up to me and says they aren t open until 3? When the sign on the door and online says they open at 11. The employee gave me a weird vibe like he was annoyed by my visit and just looked at me and my daughter like we were idiots as we walked out. Don t know if I want to come back honestly. But the patio/atmosphere looks nice.

Says your open till 2 am on google maps but at 1215 you are closed. Update your stuff, came across town to eat and drink here. And 12 guys walked up behind me for drinks and you were not open.

Honestly really disappointed. I went here for my birthday on a Saturday night. We got there and they only had the first floor open. They had half a glass worth of the wine I ordered left. Food was ok. Just a very underwhelming experience overall.

Worst consistent service of any place I've ever been in Charlotte. Filled with lazy/morose staff that take forever to show up and take your order. Orders come out wrong more often than not. Needs an employee purge and new ownership.

I finally tasted the impossible burger here & let me tell you it was the best burger I've ever tasted in my life, i kid you not, you wont be disappointed i highly recommend it! I also had mashed potatoes which was so buttery with a long island ice tea everything was perfect my mouth is watering just thinking about it

Very cool building with a fantastic Sunday brunch! Roof patio and bar has the best view of uptown. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Wouldn't suggest the Chopped Bloody Mary, but the beer selection isn't too bad!

This place is a ZERO (0) Star establishment. I heard the owner Rob is big into cocaine...if he focused more on this place instead of his drugs, maybe it could get 2 stars. However, Agree with the others. They seriously should shut down and sell business. No organization. Nothing good to put. Maybe this place was okay the first week it opened up....but time to change the business, and give up on it. BAD FOOD, BAD EMPLOYEES, BAD VIBES. 100%.

The staff was great and I have no complaints about our waitress but... I will NEVER eat here again. We sat on the balcony upstairs (rooftop) There were so many cockroaches it was disgusting!!! Everywhere I looked I could see a cockroach! Under my table, on the walls. The manager had to come and apologize a number of times. He went as far as killing two of them. I couldn't wait to leave..

Bartender was rude. After showing up to an empty bar. Me and friends stood and danced near a wobbly table, where we placed our drinks. First beer fell and smashed on the floor, Second beer fell as well. Bartender said it was time go even though we were only 2 drinks into the night, she asked us To go, very rudely. Considering we were patrons trying to have a good time with good music, the attitude was Uncalled for. I advised her to fix the table. Still Left a 20% tip and regreted it instantly and will not be back. Good thing snug harbor was open. If it weren't for Thomas Street being packed we would of never showed up anyway. It's odd that a bar in Plaza midwood is empty on a Saturday night, we see why now. Dj was awesome though!

AWESOME brunch buffet! Highly recommend. Everyone knows it for their good view of uptown (ask for top level seating) but does have some good food. A lite more expensive than the surrounding area, but not by much.

Wonderful place to meet with friends, the food was good. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that prevented me for getting a boot on my car due to the parking he was an angel. Love the area but parking is terrible

A bar that has 3 separate bars sign me up and anytime

I have been here two times. Once in the late summer and got the rooftop. Food was wonderful, view was beautiful service was awesome. Then the second time was tonight we were seated right away but waited for 20 minutes with NO SERVICE. The barback walked pass us 4 times and didn't even a knowledge us. No one acknowledged us. I let the bartender know as I was leaving that he missed a great tip. Servers complain all the time about not getting good tips, I always tip well. Perhaps if you did a good job and provided good service patrons would reward you with good tips. I will not return to peculiar rabbit we went to the diamond instead had an awesome meal and top notch service.

Went there only because gastrolaunge was long wait. Absolute awesome view of the city, great food and service.

I had dinner at the rooftop patio. The food was fantastic (had a short rib grilled cheese with sweet potato and bacon hash, and a fried peanut butter sandwich for dessert), the views are good, and the wait staff was exceptional. Everything recommended by Zach was spot on. If I lived in the area, this might be my new go-to spot.

Amazing view of downtown Charlotte. Very nice staff. A cozy peculiar place. The owner was very nice, and friendly, I didn't know who he was until after I was seated. I'll be back.

This is my FAVORITE brunch spot in Charlotte! They have awesome food and bottomless mimosas on Saturdays. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. They have multiple stories and a nice rooftop dining area.

For starters, the view!! Place is pretty big. The food was good, kind of pricey though.

My first time in Charlotte and we went here for dinner, the food and service was outstanding!

The short rib grilled cheese is a favorite. Decent selection of beer on tap. Service was very good though we did get there before the Friday night rush. Party of five and we had very good service.

Outside patio was nice. Took a little bit for our server to show up but she was nice after. Place is spread to thin for the staff in my opinion, they could probably get away with closing a floor and focus on the rooftop, downstairs and outside patio and be much more efficient.

Netta the bartender gave us top notch service, and she had an amazing, warm personality. She remembered names, she perfectly read our needs & was right on spot only when we needed her, was a complete joker that made us laugh, and even made references to Star Wars & Comi-Con! Drinks were creative and playful. The Pumpkin Flip Martini is an egg based cocktail that is not nearly as sweet as it sounds but features more of a cinnamon-y, creamy pumpkin flavor. It is something you might drink while enjoying a crisp sunny fall day sitting in a comfy Adirondack chair in the middle of a pumpkin patch. I think the other was a Maple Old Fashioned...quite a strong drink with bacon garnish!

To top off my breakfast themed drink choices, we had the Chicken & Waffles. They are so good and come with a huge piece of fried chicken breast on top of a Belgian waffle and a side of maple glazed Brussels sprouts. It was perfect for sharing at the bar with drinks. Although, we were so enthralled with the yumminess, that we devoured it without bothering to ask for more of the anise maple syrup. Might I suggest to Peculiar Rabbit that they automatically provide a small side of syrup in a little ramekin, as likely most people will require more if they are taking a more leisurely approach to eating than we did.

It was a cold evening so we sat at the bar on the first floor, but they had a nice brick fire pit on the front patio outside. It is a perfect spot for gathering a group of friends and having drinks around the fire. And the view of Uptown from the patio or the rooftop terrace is stunning! The overall design and ambiance of the place makes you feel equally comfortable visiting in workout gear or dressy attire.

To sum it up, Peculiar Rabbit is a great place for artistic drinks, inspiring food, beautiful views, and laugh-out-loud fun with the staff and your friends. And a special thanks to Netta for making our visit one we want to do all over again!

Favorite place for brunch in the CLT! Unique view of the city since it s a little further out. Mimosas are great here! Patio is perfect place to bring the pup and have a delicious meal!!
