Waited a little bit on service. But overall attentiveness was good. Food quality was good overall. Interesting menu options. Liked it.

And there was an awesome magician who displayed done good talent. Brought a smile to my face.

4 of us ate dinner last Friday night and while their service was ok, the food tasted terrible and they mixed up the orders.

7.30 is too early for that place. Ask for tables at lower level. Upper level was empty and no music at all.

The food was cold and the wait was super long. I will not be visiting this establishment again.

Went here for a work event and found after paying my tab that 2 days later they doubled the tip I left and charged my card extra. Never again.

Great atmosphere in a great area. The chicken and waffles for brunch are to die for. The second floor and third floor patio are great spots to be. This place can get packed on the weekend especially for a 'Sunday fun day'. My Fiancee and I are planning on having our wedding rehearsal dinner here. They've been very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process.

Gets no better than peculiar Rabbit. Sam is the best bartender but don't play pool with her ...(undercover shark)......and Rob the owner...

Been there twice. I wasn't impressed the first time, so I went back two years later as I thought maybe it got better. Service is slow, food is mediocre, our food was forgotten and the table next to us had forgotten food too. They were very upset. The server was apologetic but indicated that slow service, staff incompetence, and forgotten orders was typical of the restaurant. Overall, the experience both times was pretty poor.

Interesting place if you've never been it's super tall three stories just not very many people here often I don't know if that's because they're it's so big and the people are dispersed throughout the building or it's just a stop in the plasma midwood area I don't know but I enjoy it it's a nice place good beer selection good drink prices friendly staff You've never been I recommend it

This place is gross!!!! Fruitflies everywhere, dirty glasses. Food is mediocre at best. Such a good location, shame!

It was really good, but a couple minor mistakes cost them a star in our opinion. The food, atmosphere, and staff were great. However; part of our order was delayed, they forgot to leave off the onions, and there was a Seriously burnt chunk of meat in one bite. That said, we enjoyed ourselves and look forward to coming bank.

Food was ok. Me and my wife got there right before brunch was almost over with, so it was a bit of a wait. The setting was more of a drink type of spot. I'd come back

All of the recipes have a unique twist to them. Have been there for dinner as well as for events that are hosted upstairs. The rooftop view is awesome. I would recommend the Peculiar Rabbit to any foodie especially if you are in the mood to try delicious food that is outside of the mundane and typical. Plus its Alice and Wonderland themed.

Definitely one of the best bar setups I've seen in Charlotte. Great food and beer/liquor options. The owners and staff are awesome, they make you feel at home. Also they show Local/regional MMA fights on Friday nights along with music entertainment by DJ Arod & friends, which is absolutely awesome! I highly recommend checking them out.

We had a great time, even though it was a Tuesday night and the comedy was "meh", JT was amazing and recommended a beer I wouldn't normally try. We will definitely be back because of him. Great rooftop views of the city!

Went for brunch and it was disgusting. I guess the concept of "avocado toast" hasn't quite made it to Charlotte yet... because I was served rye bread topped with brown guacamole, scrambled eggs, and a lemon sauce. How did that combination ever get the OK to be a menu?
Friday nights are really fun there, but the cover charges are getting steep. And more cover charge if you're a man? C'mon.

We threw my mother's surprise 50th birthday party at the Peculiar Rabbit and had a fantastic experience with the venue, food/cocktails, and staff. My father worked diligently with the event coordinator, Suzanne, and with her expertise they were able to successfully pull off the surprise. Suzanne was very helpful, efficient, and organized. The staff at Peculiar Rabbit were pleasant and very professional. They assisted with decorating the venue and with creating the theme of the party. The weather created an unexpected twist as we had planned on having the party on the rooftop, but we decided to have the party inside (due to rain), Suzanne was able to reserve the second floor for our private event with no hassle from other patrons. The travel theme provided an array of their delicious food (jerk chicken, lamb, etc), which Suzanne and her staff provided the leftover wrapped up at the end of the evening. We highly recommend The Peculiar Rabbit for any private party needs!

The food is good, about what your expect from this area. One of the main attractions is the roof top seating and the view of Charlotte. Unfortunately seems it's frequently closed because they're "short staffed." Guess it makes sense that they aren't able to reach the roof.

It was my first visit last night. It is so humongous andd beautiful rooftop views of city. I came for a ladies night....our waitress was friendly. The manager dan was very nice...he checked on us a couple times and made us feel welcomed. The drinks are priced right and the food and appetizers were all very delicious. We are so coming bac soon!! !

My review was prompted not as a result of a bad experience with my food, kind of, but as a result of HORRIBLE service. I should also preface my statement by saying that literally SEVERAL of the items that my friends wished to order food wise and literally 1/2 of the draft beer selection were "out"...unacceptable. A restaurant has a menu from which to order because they are stating these are the items you can CHOOSE from and normally, I wouldn't care, but you can't be out of staple items AND have horrible service. Like, choose one but NOT BOTH.

As for the food: I am not crazy over it. It is overpriced for portions on most of the dishes that are incredibly small. And the menu sounds wayyyyyy more exciting than the underwhelming reality of what comes out of the kitchen. Also, for whatever reason, perhaps there will be a manager so kind as to respond, if they actually care about reviews, my party of EIGHT (8) ADULTS + a 6 year old kid were charged GRATUITY. NBD? Sure perhaps, but when your policy states 10 or more I expect for the policy to trump personal feelings about whether the server FEELS she may be justly tipped. That my friend is one of the harsh realities of the service industry, I too was a server once upon a time. I won't even begin to ponder on the reason for the gratuity being added, although, it is quite obvious to myself and my melanated cohorts as to what that reason may be. That is CLEARLY the only reason that gratuity would have been added. If not, the only other justifiable reason would be that I missed the fine print that states "server may at their discretion add gratuity on slow Monday's" or maybe the policy actually reads "parties of 9-10 guest will have gratuity added to check". I may have even felt a liiiiitle better if it were busy as all get out and this server was busting her butt with an almost 10 top...the restaurant was empty. Me being one to not "rock the boat" so to speak didn't address it with the waitress but it is honestly pointless to "remind" an employee of a policy clearly printed right on the restaurant menu that they see nearly everyday...

So, to my sly and cunning server who perhaps didn't bank on the party being able to read...*SPOILER* : I can and I did. I also always tip well and you cheated yourself. Your actions have lost business from me, indefinitely. I will do you all the honor of spending my funds elsewhere. YOU KNOW, AT LOCATIONS WHERE POLICY AND PROCEEDURES MEAN SOMETHING OVER THE PERSONAL OPINIONS OF EMPLOYEES.

So to sum it up, my fair warning, check you check and don't come super hungry or dead-set on any menu item. You've been warned.

Ok, let's start with the good. The food is actually delicious when it's right, they have a good beer selection, and the roof deck has a great view. Service is excellent as well. Here's the bad - we sat at our table for at least 45 minutes waiting for our food. Then, when the food came out, my wife's avocado toast dish was cold and soggy. They also got her eggs wrong. My waffles and chicken came without syrup and my biscuit had no butter. So, we sent back the avocado toast and got a new one. The new one came out with half of of the toppings missing. At this point my wife was hungry and just ate what she had. The manager sort of apologized by saying that they had a new menu and a rush of people when we came in (but never actually apologized for the screw up). They comped us the toast but the damage was done. I don't think we'll be going back again

The sandwiches were awesome. If you go for lunch, you don't pay extra for a side. BTW, the sides are worth the extra money.

Best views of Charlotte skyline! We went with a party of about 20 people. Our server was Keeley....she has great customer service! The peculiar burger is great! You can get your egg fried with no run on the burger too! Great beer selection with smiling crew! Nice place to go anytime of the year! Smoker friendly on the 3rd floor...oh yeah!

Amazing food, amazing view of the city skyline. If you can get the third floor outside, go for it. I've been here 4 or 5 times and it's fantastic, EVERYTIME!

The view is nice but this is a place for bar food and average service. That is it.

Went to eat an early brunch here and the waiter was horrible. He was very inconsiderate when it came to giving us menus, sitting us or even bringing our correct food. The worse part of the meal was the fact that I found a piece of GLASS in my oj. Horrible dinning experience.

the outside looked awesome, but from the moment we stepped foot inside it was bad vibes. The bartender was a jackass, and the food and drink menu did not look appealing whatsoever. We ended up leaving before we even ordered anything

In looking at the handful of negative reviews on here, I really don't know what people are expecting from a place like this. There is absolutely no excuse for an unclean environment (I never noticed this during my recent visits) but giving a place 1 or 2 stars because they didnt have carrots to go with your wings or you saw bugs while eating outside is a bit much, to me.

I wouldn't call this place a dive, per se. However, it doesn't pretend to be an upscale joint, either. For being a super casual pub-style venue, this place has good food and excellent drinks (for example, try their Kentucky mule). My second time visiting, we went on a Wednesday night and they had good live music. Restaurants don't often offer such amenities, especially mid-week... because it can cost a lot of $ extra. This place seems to be more about guests having fun and enjoying good bar food in a laid-back atmosphere. I've only encountered friendly staff, quick service, and a welcoming environment.

All of that said, I have seen a lot of complaints about unprofessional staff and I did see our server eating his dinner side-by-side with some lady (by their seated positions, assuming to be girlfriend/wife), which I wouldn't normally expect at a restaurant. Every restaurant I've worked at allowed eating on the job, but in the back or otherwise out of sight of customers. It does seem like the management here may need to run a little tighter of a ship here.

We went directly past two nearly empty floors straight to the rooftop. Great Latin music on a Friday night. Good drinks, fairly high prices....$9.80 for a gin and tonic.

The food was good but every surface I touched was sticky from the stairwell handle leading upstairs to my table. Someone needs to wipe down things here.

I love the atmosphere of this place. The service, food, and drinks are fantastic! Great selection and service. Thank you for always making sure we have a great time (shout out to Dan)!

It was ok. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars. The brussel sprouts were amazing.

Drinks were good alright. Only complaints are service. Me and GF walked in and stood at the EMPTY bar downstairs for 5 mins. No bartender. Hostess just looked at us a few times but never acknowledged. Finally someone went to find the bartender. He was nice. We took our drinks to the rooftop and watched three waitresses go by for a hour we couldn't take it anymore and left. No one asked her we ok, did we want food or more drinks, treated us like ghost. The hostess and waitress did jump up and serve every person who came afterwards. Decided we should take our money elsewhere.

Amazing food... Service/some employees weeeeell maybe they'll work on it

Good food, mediocre experience. We sat inside on the first floor. We got the gypsy schnitzel, short rib grilled cheese and the poutine. Schnitzel was excellent, other dishes were okay. We asked for the appetizer first, everything came out at the same time and none of it was warm. All the food came out room temperature. Our table was dirty, I cleaned it myself but it was still sticky. The table next to us has old food sitting on it the entire time we were there. They weren't even that busy, probably like 15 customers in there! There was cleaner sitting on the table in front of us for a long time, not sure if that's a health code violation but I wish it had been used for my table. I had high hopes but was disappointed. Probably won't go back.

Went for dinner and a date. Great selection of beer and cocktails. Southern twist menu. Overall great atmosphere. The view from the rooptop of the city is amazing. The food was pretty good also. The staff is amazing and professional, made us feel very welcomed. Hostess got us seated for dinner on the rooptop at a table with the perfect view of Charlotte skyline. Will definitely return for dinner or just for drinks. A great place for a date night or just drinks with friends.

Nice meeting place, nice food and drink selections. Friendly, professional staff. Interesting location, parking space leaves some to be desired, otherwise, it's an okay place. I could see revisiting this facility again. The exterior and interior was clean and kept up.

The day roof party seemed to be popping. However downstairs the waitress took forever to greet us and forever to get our check. We tried to ask a question to the greeter and he completely blew us off.

horrendous reviews. Fitting too. We came in today. It was DEAD. The manager, if you call it that, had the worst attitude. She looked like she didn't want to be there. It was DEAD with the World Cup Game on. Drinks were not offered, and the menu sucked. After watching drama from within the staff, and seeing the lack of management, we got right out of there. Bad choice to visit in Plaza. Shame.

Incredible view of the Charlotte skyline from the rooftop dining area. Multiple levels are bars and seating. Fantastic food!

I don't know why I come back. Every once and a while I do to mix up where I visit in plaza midwood. The service here is always horrible. Like, horrible. And I'm not picky about service at all. But waiting 30 minutes for people to come to the table every time is just not okay.

I had been here previously twice, we ordered the "lamb burger" and mushroom sloppy Joe. Both were horrible. The lamb burger is not a burger. Its pulled lamb with a chunk of feta terrible. I had a lamb burger previously served with pickled onions on a brioche bun it was delicious!
The mushroom sloppy joe was tasteless mush!
They must be under new mangement!

What the f.... happened. Used to be awesome and the food was truly peculiar. Now it's just average bar food.

Good drinks, not sure if I like the new design of the upstairs patio, but I'm sure it was a code or something. Watch out for the Palmetto bugs while up there though, but hey, its outside.

This place has amazing food every time we visit. The menu has a wide array of specialty dishes and I've never been disappointed by any of them. The recipes are so different, you want to try them all, or you feel you're missing out. They do have basic bar food too. Drink specials are also awesome.

Love this place! Great building layout, three levels with two outdoor spaces. Patio is dog friendly and covered, top has great views of the city. Staff was very friendly.

It smelled of sewerage and the tables were dirty without it even being busy. The hostess was on her phone instead of seating us. We walked out before eating.

Bad!!! My girlfriend asked for the schnitzel, the meat was hard and no taste, the mash potatoes were tasteless and the kale horrible. The server only came once and had to wait long time for the check to be picked up. It's a nice place if you just want to have some drinks but definitely not to eat.

The shepherd's pie was great. We had a number of appetizers and, they were just OK. The service was slow and curt.

Wether ordering for pick up or sitting down to eat Peculiar Rabbit is a gem. Great live music some arcade entertainment a good selection of beer and really delicious and inventive dishes. From rib sticking country breakfast to tasty chicken sliders with pepper jam and the most delicious chicken and waffles I've had in Charlotte. Everything that is plated is begging your approval. Went for weekend brunch and will be returning regularly. Cool hangout, even better food. Awesome eats!

We had a great experience here and the food was awesome! I had the fish and chips, my friends had the farfalle dish with pork belly and the San Pedro Shrimp Tray (which was amazing!). The service was excellent. My only complaint was the bathroom. It's male and female and obviously some men can't aim, so there was a mess on the floor. ugh They need to separate this so us ladies don't stick to the floor. Stop worrying about being politically correct. It was gross.
