We had our wedding at The Peasant back in September and can t thank and praise Nick and the staff there enough. The day itself ran like clockwork, the pub looked amazing and the food was absolutely incredible - one of the best meals you ll ever have in London. From start to finish, the planning and thought put into helping us out - particularly by Nick - was top notch. Highly recommend for weddings and other fun!

Had one of the best roast beef here. Tender perfectly cooked beef with lots and lots of gravy. And the Bloody Mary cured my hungover instantly. If you are on the area in a Sunday don t give this one a miss!

OMG. Had forgotten just how good this food was. We had the most amazing roast dinners, with really great and warm service, and quite simply the best apple crumble I've had in a long long long long time. We can't wait to go back - just looking for an excuse!

very good midweek pub grab, in a super friendly place. sausage and mash was fab, pork belly good (as was the sharing meze starter). portions are very generous, so we had no appetite left to try desserts. long list of wines, draft and bottle beers, and a few ciders too.

I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast here yesterday. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and friendly. A mate has just moved into the neighbourhood so I ll definitely be frequenting this place more often!

The Peasant is a great find for us. 9 months ago we came and had a meal downstairs and it was OK. By chance we came again a few weeks ago. They were very busy but we were told they had a dining space upstairs. This is a gem... A fabulous waitress service and wonderful food. The ambience is so nice and mellow. Kinda brings you back to the 20s... Definitely recommended but for the upstairs dining room...

Brilliant Sunday roast, extensive menu on offer for those who don t want the roast dinner two.

Somehow managed a full three courses and totally stuffed, great portions, really decent prices and attentive service.

Brilliant place for a Sunday roast with good company. The pub appears very busy on Sundays so definitely call ahead to make a reservation. Portions were hearty and reasonably priced, though the beef roast was a bit overcooked. Would come back again nonetheless.

My husband & I had our wedding reception at the Peasant at the start of the year and had an absolutely flawless experience. Even though we organized everything remotely via email the planning was simple and painless. Nick and his team were a pleasure to work with and both the planning and execution of the day were so smooth due to their experience and hard work. The food in particular was amazing - they offer a choice of 3 options for each course, even for large groups of 50+, and both the food and the service was spot-on. What an unforgettable day - thank-you Nick & team!!

There is a restaurant upstairs. It's not x2 chefs trying to turn over a posh menu. Or maybe they lied to me. Either way the food was excellent and the beer menu was extensive and enjoyable. Tuesday night was busy enough not to be dead but loud enough so you didn't feel like you'd gone to the wrong place. No idea what it's like on a Thursday and Friday but if give it a good old college try. Top marks, but they don't do burgers or wings.

We used the Peasant as our wedding venue. It was perfect. Nick was fantastic to deal with and the food was outstanding. We've also been there several other times and it's always been exceptional.

Delicious roasts and great service. Lovely pub to visit with very reasonable prices. Had the chocolate torte for dessert which was gigantic - could've definitely shared it!

Will definitely be back again.

My wife and I chose to have our wedding reception at the Peasant and it was a fantastic choice. Nick and all the staff could not have done more to make the build-up and the day itself run smoothly. All our guests commented on the quality of the food and the fact that they had a choice of meal options on the day. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering having their wedding reception here, but if not, it's also a great pub just to have a drink and a quality bite to eat.

The food here is always amazing. The Sunday roasts here is to die for! Staff are very helpful. I called to ask if they had gluten free options for Sunday roast and they had someone call me back straight away to let me know they can cater for.

On the day the staff so nice, friendly and welcoming.

It always is a happy crowd of people in the bar as well.

We turned up for food and drinks at 8pm on a Sunday and had a really good roast beef with all the trimmings, with some really nice beers, and followed by delicious desserts. Really friendly staff, thank you.

Was there for a wedding. Great food and really nice staff. The venue is beautiful. It's a classic and therfore it's a no brainer if you want to be in contact with real English way of life. Not expensive.
Ground floor: typical English pub with typical clients. Upstairs, the restaurant.

Went here on a Sunday, pretty quiet area around the pub but lovely inside the pub. Served by a new waitress who was very good. Interesting photos of poets and actors around the walls. A bit pricey but expected for the area. Recommended.

Great!

Went for a Sunday roast. Waited for almost an hour but it was worth it. The roast was nice and tasty. Good meat and Yorkshire pudding. The staff is very friendly. They allow dogs and kids inside. My dog thinks food was okay but he didn't like to wait so long.

The Peasant has to be our family favourite pub for delicious Sunday lunch. We have had several meals here.....food served well consistently, lovely staff, great artwork and all round local neighbourhood pub. Everyone eating here , sit content and as if all their wishes have come true! Best belly pork , beating Michelin star quality. ...and I have had such pork. My son cannot wait for the next treat. .he knows that the roast chicken is his next dinner followed by warming sticky toffee pudding. Yum! It shouldn't be a secret but we have kept it so from our foodie family and friends. ..now the secret is out!
