My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. We really just wanted some good oysters and we were blown away by the selection here. For dinner we had swordfish cooked in duck fat and red grouper with ink vinaigrette. Jill was our server and we were blown away by her. Everything was absolutely perfect.

The food, champagne, and beautiful atmosphere my husband brought me out to celebrate my 53rd Birthday.

What a WONDERFUL experience!! Knowledgeable staff, great drink selection and the menu was so excellent it was almost overwhelming! The swordfish was excellent as were the grits. Beer menu was great. And our server, Emily, was just darling and so helpful. Would absolutely go back.

I saw this restaurant on the Food Network. My husband took me there a few weeks ago for a date night. He had the Lobster Roll and I had the Flounder and grits (as my side). DELICIOUS meal and friendly service. This Optimist has been added to our date night rotation.

The best gumbo I have ever tried, the service here was absolutely amazing

Have only been here for lunch, but the place is very nice. Great decor and staff and the food. Definitely a nice place to take the office for lunch.

The rice I got was VERY dry. I didn't complain, but the waiter took it off the check for me anyway, he could tell it was bad. Good service, not impressed with the food though.

Love the menu, simple yet elegant. The atmosphere has a very nice vibe to it and the servers were friendly
