I came seeking the American equivalent of Akihabara, to see the electronics of the future, but found mostly a bunch of Google Home stuff that has been out for years. It was also a fairly sparse display. None of the stuff was really in "beta". The highlight for me was trying out the Japanese Happy Hacking keyboard, which I've wanted for years, but which can't really be considered revolutionary when it doesn't differ much from the original version released in 1996.

The coolest tech all in one place. This store sells all of the products at the manufacturer's price you would find online...No Mark Up! Leave with the product that day. The staff is knowledgeable. If you want to walk around on your own and not be bothered, they are good with that. If you want every product described in detail, they will do that. They had something for everyone in this store.

Yay!! Finally, b8ta is coming to downtown San Francisco!! This shop is famous in Pal Alto. We can try new cool gadgets here. Apparently, this new shop has many attractive products same as other b8ta shops. It wasn't so crowded because just opened. Staffs are friendly and they know products very well. It located at Hayes Valley.

From the outside this looked like just another Hayes Valley shop with pretty products that I would never be able to afford. I was pleased to be wrong! While there are definitely things several hundreds of dollars more than I would ever pay for them, this is a fun place full of futuristic gadgets that wouldn't be out of place in a James Bond movie. But I was surprised that there was stuff me and my friend actually found useful! They are selling a modular type couch that comes in boxes so small that my friend will, for the first time in her apartment's life, have a couch that she can fit down her hallway. The saleslady Michelle was super nice and helpful - found a projector I'll be craving. Check this place out - it's more than what it seems!

There are many gadgets that you can see in the crowdfunding, and you can buy on the spot while trying. There was a sense of security as the staff were very friendly and easy to talk, and they taught me not only the good part of the product but also the bad part. However, skateboards with electric motors can not be loaded on airplanes and require separate delivery with tariffs, and some can not be easily brought in Japan, so it is not sure if you ask the staff, so check them out yourself. I recommend that.

If you like technology and innovation you should definitely pay a visit to b8ta st. Their crew is so incredibly friendly and helpful, you just feel like buying everything. Touch of Modern was my favorite booth but the other ones are very good as well.

Seems like 80% of the store is Google products, and then a bunch of items of questionable value. For example, what makes the electronic toothbrush better than the existing mainstream products that are available? I have no idea. Nothing there told that story. The typewriter keyboard is cool if this store was called Brookstone.

I bought the nebia shower head from Jake and he told me it was brand new. When I mentioned the condition of the box, he said that was how they received it from nebia's warehouse. I opened it up and it was USED. The plumber's tape was clearly used.

Store seems nice, but staff could be improved. One employee was on his phone my entire visit, while the other was playing with a boosted board. When I did get the attention of one, they were not able to answer a simple question. As well, they did not put any effort to find the answer beyond a best guess.

After messaging b8ta on FB messenger, things improved. They accepted my feedback, and immediately found out the answer to my questions.

I think there is a need for stores like this. They allow customers to test products that may only be available online.

Neat showroom for smart devices. I'm not sure I would call it a store as much as a smart home museum, but it's cool to see what Google is making and be able to demo and play around with some new technology. Worth a 15 minute stop on a walk through Hayes

Lovely friendly people who seem to know their stuff. But they sold me an out-of-date version of a Smart Pen without informing me of that fact. This is supposed to be an up-to-date place? ( I was happy to pay list price for the pen because I got to try it out in the store, they did charge me the discounted list price for the older model, so that was ok). I get home and find the worst documentation I've ever seen in a product. I'll go back to the store tomorrow (shouldn't they have warned me there might be some difficulty?). I hope they can make it work.

Lots of cool new technology here such as the "smart" Levi's jacket, but I don't think very many people actually end up purchasing anything here. The place seemed more like a museum than a store. I couldn't tell if there was a restroom here available to the public or not- I think I saw a staff member go inside but didn't want to ask; the area seemed very exclusive. I ended up really needing to use the restroom so I didn't even get to look at all the products and just left.

Cool startup gadgets, this store is like the Etsy for gadgets. All sorts of interesting contraptions to make your life easier, and which you never knew existed. From smart clothing to those crazy one-wheel skateboards, this is a really cool cutting-edge electronics store.

Fun store with plenty of very cool tech gadgets. They have them all displayed, ready to be used and tried out.
The San Francisco location has a good amount of items in stock.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good prices.

I was there today looking at cool stuff...I was ready to purchase the door security...speaking to my son my concern about the thickness of our doors...(gadget requires 2" thickness), a caucasian saleswoman spoke to me after hearing our conversation and asked if it was my house or someone else's (after eyeing my appearance from top to bottom)...stunned I nodded to her offensive behavior because she was making a HUGE mistake...I own several properties and was thinking of purchasing some...needless to say, I walked out empty handed with my niece laughing...BIG MISTAKE! HUGE!!! smh...

Interesting and unusual store if you like high-end gadgets. Very high tech with everything from speakers to electric skateboards to air purifiers. Lots of Google Home and Nest products as well. Very helpful staff.

This location is extremely cool.if you are into checking out and trying out the latest technology from places such as Google. They show case a lot of other technology - not just computers, such as smart bikes, a smart couch, augmented reality lenses, toothbrushes, smart wallets, etc. Always fun to stop here and see what the future might look like!

Yesterday while strolling along Hayes Street I came across a store on the corner of Hayes & Laguna.
Outside the signage mentions "...see the latest from Google..."
Interesting that Google wants to influence you through lifestyle tech products that are displayed in this shop. The curated collections for A/V, home, health, lifestyle, clothing, and pets look pretty slick. Google trying to get into the consumer space? That's a pretty tough market since they're up against giants like Sony, Samsung, etc etc. Sony had a concept store at the Metreon for many years before pulling out.
The store is very clean and products are arranged for comfortable hands-on perusing.
Certainly, Hayes Valley denizens and visitors to the area will find this store unique. Didn't check prices so can't say how much items go for. But I'm sure these are top of the line in innovation.

Amazing concept and great for a visit. Hands on with the newest gadgets and knowledgeable, friendly staff that aren't trying to force a sale. My only complaint is that I can't find what's currently in the store online. Definitely worth a visit and knowing they change the products monthly means regular visits are a must.

First of all if you can find parking here kudos too you. This was such a cool place with a lot of gadgets I have never seen before. Night a few things and the experience was seamless, the staff was friendly. Hope they open a few more places like this.
