Everything about the Grove Park Inn is excellent. There is something to do for everyone whether or is golf, tennis, hiking, spa treatments, or just relaxing in a rocking chair. All of the staff are professional and friendly. There are several fantastic choices for dining and beverages although most are a little bit pricey. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the history of the Grove Park Inn as well as looking at several exhibits scattered throughout the resort. I look forward to my next opportunity to visit.

Even when we don t stay here, we come to see the gardens and to sit for awhile in front of one of the massive fireplaces (one has on all year, the other burns wood during the cold months). A visit during the gingerbread competition is a must! Phenomenal breakfast buffet well worth skipping dinner.

The front desk staff particularly Daniella was amazing! Super accommodating, really friendly. I was surprised she had only been there two months. I plan on referring my friends to come here too.

I also had a great experience at the spa. India at the spa went above and beyond assisting me during my stay. Genuine and caring, quick to solve any and all issues. She made my experience awesome. The interior of the spa is beautiful and worth the money to visit during your trip at the Omni.

This was my first time at the Inn. It was beautiful. The service was impeccable from the valet, desk, the awesome elevator operators, and the restaurant teams. It felt like I was going back in time to historic grandeur. I could spend days sitting on the porch with the amazing mountain views or sit inside by the the massive fireplaces reading a book. The Edison restaurant was outdoors where we watched the sunset. The food was great as well. The breakfast buffet was incredible, including fresh made omelets. I will be back as soon as possible!

Its an experience my wife and I will remember forever. I would recommend booking way in advance for anyone looking to go because a lot of the spa treatments were gone, but we did get spa day passes and it was still incredible. We also booked a foraging tour with "No Taste Like Home" and we got to bring everything we foraged back with us for the chefs at Vue 1913 to make an appetizer for our dinner reservation. We will definitely be back for more.

2 stars for the only two reasons to stay here - the views and the incredible staff. Everyone we spoke and interacted with over the weekend was so nice, helpful, and kind, and made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable.

That said, beyond the views and the team, the rest of the stay didn't live up to the price of the stay. Room was outdated and felt out of place in comparison to the grand entrance/foyer of the hotel. Food was expensive and only of mid level quality, and on top of all costs and expenses charged for the stay, "resort fees" were added without any identified benefits as to what they may be supporting.

With respects to COVID-19 and health and safety protocols, the hotel was beyond lacking. Putting up a small sign detailing a mask mandate but allowing guests to walk freely throughout the hotel without masks is not enforcement of a mask mandate. Large groups gathered freely and maskless throughout the hotel, and not point were any of them asked to put on a mask or offered one by the hotel.

In short, if you're traveling to Asheville, I would recommend coming here for a drink and maybe dinner on the terrace to soak up the view, but would recommend you spend the night somewhere else.

Beautiful inn in Asheville, NC. We went for lunch but missed the lunch time. Toured around the inn while waiting for dinner hour. You can view pictures covering the construction in 1913. So interesting. We had dinner. It was delicious even though it was expensive! Enjoyed the afternoon and evening at the Grove Park Inn.

I can't say enough nice things. The staff was attentive, kind, and always available. The room in the original inn was cozy and updated in all the right places. Every window had a great view, the resort is visually pleasing inside and out. We loved dinner on the terrace & brunch at the buffet. The cocktails are great, although easy on the booze. The bars are lively at night, especially the piano bar. Even if it's just for an evening, the sunset is a unique experience worth visiting for.

Maybe some rooms are good, DO NOT stay in 377, you'd be better off in a closet which it should be made into. It might have been OK for $100, not $500. I stayed in better Motel 6s 4 decades ago. Room was tiny, maybe 200sf, 80sf of which was unutilized, empty space in the Bathroom. There was not an issue with the view as the one window was 5 feet plus above the floor so you could not see anything anyway. The bathroom was a 6-8" step up from the room, the kind of thing when you first see, you wonder how you will not kill yourself in the middle of the night and my spouse did fall. Either they ignored zoning code or got a variance, it is extremely unsafe. As if to help, they put tape on the floor so you might notice the hazard and not fall. There were two lousy pillows "great" for propping against Mission (hard wooden slats) Headboard, as there was only one chair in the room and only one bedside table, but staff was excellent and upon request, quickly brought additional pillows. Champagne tasted "great" in plastic cups. This room needs to be retired so you don't embarrass yourself. On second thought it was worth about $50.
