The Old Spaghetti Factory is easily my favorite chain restaurant ever, and I think this location may be one of their best in the nation. The views are incredible -- I recommend going at sunset so you can watch the boats on the river while you dine.

My mother and I had a horrible experience when we went here on Saturday. Our waitress ignored us for a 7 top party. We had to ask 3 other servers for items. My mother's food was cold and tasted terrible. We tried to flag the waitress down, and all she asked was if we needed a box. Not one bite off the plate!!! We will never be back.

Can be crowded as hell, but consistent quality, good service, and filling, flavourful food makes it worth the stop. Full bar. Beautiful building. Spacious and classy. Decent prices.

The atmosphere is nice. . . traditional decor, dark wood, stained glass, leaded glass. The river views are great and there are plenty of them. Grandmother would like it. Easy to accommodate large groups. The food is American "Italian". The pasta dishes are uncomplicated and uninspired. Competently prepared. You're sure to find something to please kids that are picky eaters, including scoops of ice cream at the end of a meal. There are vegetarian and gluten-free options. They do have a nice crusty bread loaf that comes to the table hot, but the food will probably seriously disappoint Portland foodies looking for authentic or chef-designed Italian.

Service was very good. However we both had the mizithra cheese spaghetti, which we always have when we go to the Spaghetti Factory, and it was not very good at all. Noodles were over cooked and the browned butter and cheese topping was not very favorable. We were very disappointed.

We took an out-of-town guests here for their last night
We have had bad luck at other local establishments and had horrible business when we took out of town gas to that restaurant. The Old Spaghetti Factory was able to stay to to their standard of food and quality of their customer service and the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff. we weren't able to get a exact window seed that we got to see or we could still look out to the river for the evening. it was also fun because there was a young man who just turned 18 and his older brother was so proud of this fact that he stood up and proposed a toast to him publicly. Then later a group of waiters came by to wish him and sing Happy Birthday us and the other tables around could not help that join in the festivities to wish that young man a happy 18th birthday. it also was need to know that we were eating at the very first of the restaurants that this family established throughout the state and California and other states.

Good food, good service, good location. Beautiful building with entertaining interior. Prices in line with offerings. Only negative: gave us the daily specials menu but were out of the special! Really likeable family dining (3 generations for us). Have partaken of their hospitality in several locations and cities-this one rates highest for me.

Always tasty, even takeout. Our bread was still hot by the time we got home. Surprised they were already offering dine-in again. Several tables were set up outside under cafe lights. We will stick with take out for the time being.

This is an old tradition that never disappoints. I love the Christmas boats that come down the river during the winter. It isn't usually a bad wait, and the bar usually has room if you are in a hurry for noodles ;)

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a go-to restaurant choice for my family. The atmosphere inside feels special, and the service is always upbeat and kind. For an affordable three course meal, I don t think there are many better options than OSF. Make sure you try the famous Brown Butter and Mizithra Cheese Spaghetti! The Manager s Favorite option allows you to try two sauces- good luck choosing from the variety of options. Luckily everything is so good you really can t go wrong.

I gave this restaurant and a second chance and was pleased. Best time to come is opening time at 4:30pm. Best seating is on the main floor, on the waterfront in the enclosed "outdoor seating". Gluten free entrees will have a "gluten free flag".

An old classic, I have been going to different Spaghetti family locations my entire life. It's a family tradition of ours, but I don't think I have ever reviewed one... I am doing so now primarily due to these Covid times. Overall, service is always great, friendly and prompt, but I was really impressed with the way the were organized for curbside pickup. They made it a very quick, safe and easy process. The food was packaged perfectly and delicious as always. If you have never ordered the potpourri dish, you must. And a weird tip for the adventures... Mix all the sauces together into one. It's amazing.

We visited the 18-Feb, 17. Our server was Katelyn, she was wonderful with all age groups. Very attentive keeping drinks refilled, sides replinished. Great service and wonderful food.

I have been here twice and was unimpressed both times. Though the service was adequate I found the food to be sub-par for what I was paying. Overall I was expecting far more from a company's flagship location.

As a group of four we were seated quickly. There was no waiting on a Wednesday night. The waitress brought drinks within a few minutes and then took our order. In 5 minutes we had our soups and salads. In about 16 minutes we had our main course. Drinks were refilled twice. The service was grwat, the food was perfect and the restaurant, despite a few loud happy birthdays was pleasantly quiet.

The bottom line: A great place to get some great Italian food. From a restaurant chain.

Ambience: As you walk through the doors you are almost overwhelmed by the ambience. The giant chandelier and posh seating welcome you. There is enough seating and decor to muffle sounds so you can talk with the party at your table.
The views are great, if you are seated facing the river.

Food: great Italian food done right. The marinara sauce, which they claim is made from scratch, is delightful, rich and full of tomato flavor. The Sicilian meatballs are flavorful as well, without being overwhelming.

Service: The host greeted me and had me seated within moments. My server was pleasant and explained the menu options.

Overall: A win. Highly recommended.

Ala Homer!! This is the home of mizithra cheese & fresh baked bread. Pesto ranch dressing & garlic butter. Always hot & delicious, with large portions followed by the traditional spumoni ENJOY!!

We came for lunch at 1:45 pm and they close lunch service at 2:30pm. The decor is a beautiful combination of antique and ornate furniture and fixtures. The seating is quite varied a very unique experience. The hostess gave us a choice of two areas to sit all with a view of the Willamette RIver. It was so pleasant to watch the water and the activity therein. We ordered the Spaghetti, one with a sausage and one with two meatballs. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was presented well. The meal came with salads or minestrone soup and a medium loaf of warm bread / butter. We asked for salads with ranch dressing and were told they had there own like kind dressing that we chose. The dressing and dinner salads were very good with cold very crisp lettuce. The food came and was presented well and tasted very good. We were filled with enough left to fill us with lunch the next day. Please note that we are average eaters and those with medium appetites will be well satisfied. We had a very good time even though we were very tired from our long drive and activity's. The only thing that was not up to par was the service from our waitress. Twice she forgot our request for napkins and was more interested in cleaning tables. The rest of the support staff were very attentive. We will be back,... But bringing our own extra napkins, it's spaghetti, you're going to need extra napkins!
