Food was absolutely delicious. I have had steak there before and this time had the chicken. It was beautifully cooked. Both times the meal was very well presented and tasty. It was very busy but the atmosphere was good, it's a lovely looking pub. And service was good taking into account how busy it was!

We booked impromptu last night and got an amazing rate, the staff found us toothbrushes and toothpaste and even gave us a lift to the station in the morning for our train. They even prepared breakfast for us early to accommodate our schedule! Extremely friendly people, wonderful food in the pub, and the room was amazing with comfy beds, a great bathroom, and loads of space. I couldn't recommend it enough!
Wasn't very good to be fair.
Sat down at table then had a beer spilt on my leg by waiter brining it to table, meals came out and fillet steak was tough and full of sinew, plus rump steak was asked to be cooked med, but it was more like rare, plate was full of blood. Sent the fillet back but it came back out when everyone else had finished? Felt staff didnt talk to each other as we kept getting the same questions asked?? Bit of a disaster

An old favourite of ours for many years. Great pub, frrindly staff with a great selection of beers and wines and food is excelent. You order food at the bar generally, which is no more than 20ft from any table and a good excuse for another round, though staff will come to you if you ask. Desserts and coffees can be easily ordered with the staff. Not a cheap night out but certainly a good one.

The food in their restaurant is excellent. The staff are friendly. We thorougly enjoyed a recent meal there, but would avoid a busy Friday night in future as the staff were rushed off their feet.

Lovely country pub set in a small village hamlet. There is a small outdoor seating area behind the pub and a nearby carpark (albeit quite small). The pub has a very nice traditional interior and serves fantastic food. I highly recommend the Sunday roast lunch!
This is an amazing B&B. The room is fabulous and the service is excellent. The pub has a nice look and feel to it. Everyone is very welcoming in the pub. I will definitely return here.
The accommodation smelled of chlorine and it felt very much like a side business to the pub. Bit disappointed given the good reviews on booking and the 5 star aa rating

A lovely country pub with great food and drink, the chef does a great job. Lovely accommodation next to the pub , very comfortable rooms with on suite bathroom, desk, coffee making facilities and TV, seating area overlooking the pub , large car park , friendly staff , highly recommend it .
Visited recently for a friend's birthday lunch. The food is always fantastic and they provide a great selection of whisky too. Arrive early for the seats by the fire!
The Pork Belly or Liver is a must if it is on the menu!
Nice inside but if your in a wheelchair it's difficult as the ramp to get in is really steep. Also if your vegetarian they do have food but if your allergic to onions and garlic then ice-cream it is. The waitress got the bill wrong 3 times but she could answer questions about the menu.

Like someone else mentioned, I had rated this 5 stars previously for Sunday roasts, but this time it just wasn't as good. The roast potatoes were hard and the cauliflower cheese was watery.

Rated 5 stars for two previous lunchtime visits. But their Sunday roasts are not as good. Worst roast potatoes ever... hopefully just a bad day.
It's not the cheapest place to eat but I have to say the food was fantastic car parks a little tight especially at night where visibility is not so good but overall I would go again

We popped in late on a Sunday afternoon for a Sunday Roast and it was 10/10. Although it was a busy evening, staff were really attentive and food couldn't be faulted. Very reasonably priced too, I would highly recommend.

It is a wonderful English pub. The fish and chips were greasy and delightful. The pilsner was great. I had 3 flavors of creme brulee. They were all incredible

Great atmosphere and attentive staff without the frequent 'is everything alright' comments. Food excellent. The prices are a bit steep but you get everything you pay for. Will keep this place on mind for that slightly more special occasion. We had a relaxed meal on our wedding anniversary and were definitely not disappointed. Well done OHaH

The older brunette waitress didn't listen and was not welcoming, this has been noticed by friends of mine who have gone there. Not really wanting to go back because of it.
A fairly limited menu but the food is always very tasty and well presented. Nice draft beer also.
