Delightful! The jazz music and dining what a way to spend a romantic Friday evening. I have 0 complaints it was utterly gorgeous. The menu is an inspired and inclusive one with a variety of options to fit your choice of diet. Great service, the band were class. We visited Portsmouth and had this place in mind and it did not disappoint! Large venue that transported somewhere European and warm. Enjoyed it dearly.
Great bistro bit like the Tardis..goes on and upwards..great atmosphere just my cup of tea..very classy..
Amazing food and wine! Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and service too
Always a lovely atmosphere and great food. Well worth a visit.
Exceptional food, and wonderful staff. Despite us arriving very close to the kitchen closing they were very accommodating, and we enjoyed a fantastic meal. Will definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere, came here for a friends birthday the food was great. Although service could be a little faster.
Amazing food on our last visit. We had had a large group and all food came our together and piping hot. Great wine choices as well as excellent service
Rosies is a wine bar that has some fantastic food. It is a very relaxed environment with Jazz nights on most Fridays. The food is not super expensive but not what i would consider cheap either, but you are paying for quality. (beef Wellington was amazing). The venue is split into 3 with a small mezzanine the main floor with the bar and a downstairs. Bands are usually situated near the door on the main floor, so if you specifically want to see the entertainment then make sure you book this area. Staff are very warming and friendly and atmosphere is great
Great food and amazing wine, what more do you need?
One of the worst food in the UK I well not recommend any one to in eat this rubbish food
Really like this little gem, great Sunday roast and wine.
Spacious bistro serving excellent food. Bit pricey but we'll worth it. Sharing mezze starter and lamb main course we're both great. Would highly recommend and will be returning
Live jazz and amazing food, what more could a girl hope for! Also the place itself is very pretty
I had the pork belly and it made me want to be sick, just so I had room to eat it all over again! Food was amazing, had a party of 12 and everyone said how good the food was.
Lovely food and service. We think it's our eighth year of Christmas festivities there.
There was one waitress on tonight (Tuesday) and Rosie's was extremely busy for a weekday. She did wonderfully. my boyfriend and I agreed she should get a pay rise, instantly. The food was delicious and the wine was also lovely. Will return and hopefully see our lovely waitress on the management team if she isn't already.
I'm just not a fan.
They have a large variety of wines and other drinks.
The atmosphere is ok but nothing special
Service is ok
They have vegetarian dishes on the menu
But overall nothing stands out as something I must come back for
Rosie's vineyard is a hidden gem! Wonderful food, really good atmosphere lovely little garden and fabulous staff.
I was at a friend's wedding reception here a few weeks ago, nothing was too much trouble infact the staff went above and beyond what would be expected to make sure the day went without a hitch.
I would highly recommend coming here either for something delicious to eat or just for a glass of wine to take in the ambience!
A big fan of Rosies... Often dine here with friends as the food is excellent and very well priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wines are impeccable.
We went there for Jazz music and ended up having a lovely dinner as well. It's a bit pricey but it's a lovely place and the music was so good that it was worth it. The place looks so nice inside, I love all the plants inside as well. Staff were really nice, food came quick.
Amazing food and great service. Even though the restaurant was busy, our waiter was really on the ball. My only complaint was that our table was next to the bar and when a large group were waiting to be seated, they stood right next to our table and then decided to start talking to us about how close our table was to the bar.. once the group had moved there wasn't a problem. The jazz band was excellent. A great evening!
Love the live music on Friday nights here. Very good selection of wines and great mood in general. Suggest booking in advance as it tends to get busy during the weekends.
What a lovely garden theyve cultivated! Best cocktails!
Lovely decor & vibe. Great food & entertainment. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend
Great atmosphere offering a wide selection of food and wine. French inspired menu that is always well prepared. Visit when they have live jazz music and book a table near the bar area, not downstairs.
Rosies is my go to place for food, I've never had a bad meal here, and have probably eaten here 50+ times, very reasonable prices as well
A master class on good food and music for a Sunday afternoon. Best lamb shank in southsea . Perfect in every way. Well done Rosie's you found the right formula
Had a great evening sat night and the food was excellent
Good vibrant atmosphere. Food and wine were good without being spectacular. Service was friendly albeit the courses took a long time..
Came for a Christmas meal Amazing food and lovely staff
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great staff excellent food and service check out when live entertainment on? Reservations are advised as this is a popular place to be!!! As you will find out
Just been here for New Years Eve. Lovely food, service and entertainment!
As Rosie's has been here since I first came to Portsmouth way back in 1989, I use this place for organising Uni reunions. There's been at least 5 now. Always a good time is had by all.
Excellent food and great staff. We were a large group, so called ahead with our order, and everything was served quickly and with minimal fuss or bother.
Been going to Rosie's Vineyard for over thirty years and still the Beef Wellington is great
Great food and good wine my No.1 best restaurant in southsea
Watched Roger Goldsmiths Ticking play there, good service, good venue, kind staff
Amazing roast and amazing music. Fantastic Sunday afternoons are spent here!
The food was excellent and the service was great too, I'd thoroughly recommend going here
Went here for Friday night jazz and drinks. Although we got there relatively late me and my partner did not have to wait long for a table to open up. The wine and cocktail and beer we had were lovely. The music was good, a jazz trio of a bassist and two guitarists.
Have visited Rosie's on an occasional basis for years. Still has a lovely feel to it. Regular jazz style bands. Can be a little noisy with chatter, but not raucous. Though I tend to choose from the more budget end of the list, I still expect to have something drinkable. I had been put off by the wine quality a few years ago, but last time had a decent bottle at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.
We absolutely love coming here, it's our go to place for aa celebration. The staff are so friendly and approachable. The food is consistently great quality, the venison and lamb in particular are delicious. If you are struggling with the selection of wines, try a bottle of the moko black, it's a lovely white wine. My only slight criticism is that it may be a bit expensive for some, but great quality comes at a price. We absolutely adore the atmosphere, it's certainly worth a visit
Lovely food and great drinks with friendly staff. Look forward to coming back when they have some music on.
Used to be such a good place to eat. Had the Beef Wellington which was tough as old boots. Only plus point is the wine selection.
Went here for the first time to see the FB Pocket Orchestra and have a nice glass of wine. Fantastic service from the bar staff, wonderful music and a cozy, warming atmosphere. If only they sold some snacky food to go with the wine. Their list of sides was quite short and I couldnt find the sort of thing I fancied. Besides that one minor issue the whole experience was fantastic! Will definitely come back here! :)
Good service, good food and generally a nice restaurant.
Slightly let down by very salty gravy and blackened roast potatoes. Otherwise excellent. Loved the live music
Great range of wine, nice atmosphere but plenty of room
Great food and a good atmosphere. Excellent for valentines day.
Good food and great atmosphere with the jazz band playing.
The Sharp's Doombar was particularly disappointing. Thin, bland and probably on the turn.
Great atmosphere and excellent service. We went for the first class Sunday lunch with the classy jazz duo
I have been visiting Rosies off and on since I was 18. I'm now 59. I loved Rosies for its amazing Jazz which was brilliant again. The wine was also good. The food was OK. I had a roast, nothing to write home about. The only thing I didn't like was the way we were spoken to about ordering our food. It seemed as though because we had booked a table at 2.15, we were expected to eat straight away but at Rosies it's a lovely place to sit and relax and drink and eat when you are ready but it seemed a problem. We were told the kitchen had to plan so we should really order and that they were expecting large parties and if we didn't order we may have to wait. We were not going to be rushed so when we were ready we asked to order and once again they had to check before allowing us to order. We didn't see any large groups appear whilst we were there! It just put us off a bit that we weren't allowed to eat when we wanted but all said and done it was a pleasant time, just for me not like the old days...
Chilled atmosphere. Fantastic food/staff and cool jazz. What more could you wish for.
Just went here for a few drinks on a Sunday. Nice atmosphere with a jazz band playing. Good polite service. Would return.
Very nice venue. We hired the function room which was very pretty. Only slight issue was closing time. We were just getting into our stride at 11pm!
Good food, nice atmosphere, wonderful friendly helpful staff
Great food, service, atmosphere, prices, and music choice. The perfect place for a nice classy meal especially if you like Jazz.
Absolutely amazing food but the music was far far too loud and ruined what could have been a lovely evening
Good service, food excellent, what's not to like? Also the waitress was very knowledgable. A family member ordered venison, however he requested frites in lieu of the standard dauphinoise potatoes with this dish. Although advised the two do not complement each other his rather unusual request was accommodated nonetheless.
In the fourteen years since I first visited it's always impressed. Gorgeous food, lovely wine selection and great relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended
Delicious food, freshly cooked. Lovely atmosphere with attentive staff. While there they had a jazz band playing which just added to the lovely evening. A gem of a place.
The food was absolutely delicious and very tasty and also the staff were really friendly and helpful, thank you for a fantastic evening.
