Traditional hotel in an absolutely wonderful location. Always a friendly welcome from Reception! Fabulous views from front facing rooms and the restaurant. Beautifully maintained garden. Great walks, driving roads and cycling nearby. What a place to relax..

This is a beautiful spot to sit and have a drink overlooking the lake. Thankfully we were in a relaxed mood because I think the staff were having an off day (it happens) as it took over a hour to get a sandwich..

The charm of Lake Vrynwy hasn't faded over the years. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, they were very helpful when one of our party was feeling unwell. The hotel room was very spacious, if a little too warm. And the facilities were lovely. It is perfectly situated to take on the many walks that are located around the lake and only the weather prevented further exploration.

Views are breath taking! Staff are friendly. Food menu isn't very big though the afternoon tea was lovely. Hydrotherapy pool and other eating/drinking premises not open sadly (stupid covid) which would have made the stay better as hotel is in a remote area, other than walking routes (which were amazing) we had to drive a distance to get to other places.

Absolutely magically! The lake looks like it's straight out of a Harry potter movie! Only visited for a drink while in the area but would definitely return for a stay in one of the hotel rooms and visit the spa.

We spent our Honeymoon weekend at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our room was so lovely complete with a four poster bed and balcony! Food was absolutely delicious and staff very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa.

Have stopped here for coffee and cake several times with friends whilst motorcycle touring in Wales. We were always made to feel welcome by the helpful staff. Had a long chat with one of the managers who was able to help us with local information & the best routes & places for us to visit. Really nice views from the bar balcony looking across the lake, when the cloud layer is high.

We visited for a family meal. The hotel was stunning - very traditional rooms and a thoroughly relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious and I could have eaten two meals. Highly recommended if you're in the area - PR even if you're not!

Hotel is in beautiful surroundings and staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is clean but whilst the decor is aimed to highlight its age and history it does feel like it could do with some modernization just to improve the quality of the decor rather than bring it up to a more modern view. Entry to the spa should definitely be included in the room fee but it isn't. The spa is clean and has sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, hot beds and lovely outside area but no pool. Room was small but bathroom was huge so that made up for the smaller space. Views are brilliant and really that's what you are paying a premium for.

We visited for a spa day, we had two treatments and four hours of the spa facilities. It was an enjoyable experience and the treatments we received hit the spot in making us feel relaxed. We then visited the bar area for lunch and we ordered two fish and chips. As you can see from the pictures it was a fish an half. Crispy thin batter and beautiful chips. All this topped off with a stunning view of the lake. A beautiful way to spend a day.

A special treat for my better half, lovely relaxing time had by all. Fine dining in the restaurant and casual dining in the Brasserie. Pet friendly hotel as we took our Border Terrier dog with us that could stay in the room. For larger dog's they have heated kennels in the grounds. Breakfast is very good and walks available straight from the grounds of the hotel to the nearby RSPB reserve.

Set in a stunning location the historic hotel provides a lovely countryside location. The hotel itself retains many of its original features which some may argue makes it look dated and tired. The spa, when quiet, is a lovely place. The main restaurant presents stunning views over the lake and amazing service. The food was a little hit and miss with pea shoots presented on everything that arrived during our stay. We recommend that you pay the extra for a lakeside room as the side "overlooking the gardens" is essentially a car park and noisy from the cars, people and kitchen vents.

Lovely location. Beautiful views across the lake from the hotel. The hotel itself was in need of a bit of a refurb. A bit tired in places. Our TV in our room would only tune into two channels. Tea making was a bit dangerous considering the location of the kettle, which was faulty, and not really anywhere to put the cups whilst making the tea. On the plus side, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was good, but not four star

On behalf of the Directors, Managers and Senior Head Office Staff at Proactive Personnel, I would like to thank Anthony Rosser and his outstanding team for making our meeting last week so special. The hotel was the perfect venue for our morning meeting, the refreshments and sweet treats went down a storm and got the day off to a great start. Once the hard work was done, it was time for some activities. A special mention to Jess who organised the afternoon of fun for our staff, including a stunning bike ride around the lake, a fantastic and rather competitive archery lesson finished off with wine-tasting with the lovely Simon, which helped us all well and truly relax!

A delicious meal (with the world s best view) was enjoyed by all and we cannot fault the food and the staff, who were all amazing. After dinner and a beautiful sunset over the lake, our evening s drinks and festivities were made all the more special by the wonderful Paul and the rest of the bar staff, who are all an absolute credit to the hotel.

The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the lake-view rooms really are something to behold. Lisa on reception made the checking-in and out process an absolute pleasure.

Thanks again to the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and all the team for making our work trip away so special. The setting really is second-to-none, in one of the most beautiful places in the world we would whole-heartedly recommend the hotel to all business groups, families, couples and individuals.

We visited for a friend's wedding and generally had a good experience. Facilities are a bit run down but the staff were friendly and helpful. With such a wonderful location the hotel should be a little better.

We had a beautiful lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake.

The food was excellent and was a very reasonable price for the quality.

The service were excellent and the drinks although a little on the expensive side were lovely.

There is plenty of car parking and several sets of public toilets so even when busy there is still a relaxed atmosphere.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great waterfall on the north side of the lake. Spa was above average and the service options are good. My wife and I got back massages at the spa, both were good. The food at the pub was decent but a bit overpriced. We had the 3 course meal at the hotel which looked amazing but taste was 4/5, wife's lamb was barely cooked and required some additional grilling.

Actually a really lovely place with friendly staff and great facilities. The views over the lake are impressive. There are some awesome walks nearby, although you really need a car to get to them. Even though the weather was damp, it didn't dampen our stay

Absolutely excellent hotel. Stunning views, beautiful and well appointed rooms, attentive staff and exceptional service from bar staff to reception staff to chefs and cleaners alike.

This was my 4th visit and I already cant wait to go back.

The restaurant is excellent, the breakfasts are incredible (and very generous). The brasserie is light and modern with stunning views and a great, well thought out menu. The staff are able to accomodate dietary requirements. The local produce used throughout (including the beers!) Make the place feel like a real taste of Wales.

Fnally, this place offers excellent value for money. It isnt cheap, nor should it be, but the room packages and menu prices are incredible for the quality you get.
