Lovely little pub, popped in whilst visiting Padstow and had a drink! Decoration was lovely and really cozy!Great choice of drinks available, especially gins! The pub is dog friendly as well which made it even better as there were a few cute pooches in there for me to harass! Would definitely visit again!
A quirky hotel spread over three buildings, many steps. Very clean and tidy. Room was very comfortable with usual tea and coffee facilities, a bath and shower en-suite. Views of the harbour - room 22. Bar within was nice. Breakfast just next to bar, great.
Overall a plesent lunch. The food was good and the facilities/setting were nice. A little chilly sat out the back by the conservatory. Only small grip is having to use an app to order lunch but that's happening more and more wherever you go. We would definitely eat here again.

Visited Padstow for a day and went into the Old Custon House for lunch and being what I call myself connoisseur on fish and chips, we decide to take the plunge and dive into this establishment and try, whilst it was,nt cheap this food was exceptional, and at the end of the meal the price was correct "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" and we'll done to the Custom House and staff, and anyone who reads this review make sure your friends and family when paying a visit to Padstow visit the Old Custom House.
More of a restaurant than a pub now, but it's right on the Quay so you can see all the boats. I had a steak in there a couple of weeks ago and it was to die for, so you've got to take it that the rest of the food is up to that standard so can highly recommend the place
Dinner for the family with the dog, whilst on holiday. Lovely surroundings; very good, friendly service; food well presented, reasonably priced, waiting time acceptable and very well cooked. Would definitely visit again / recommend

We popped in for a quick bite to eat. Menu had lots of choice with seasonal food and reasonably priced. The food came out quickly and the service was very good. We have been before and would definitely go back.

Popped in for a drink after a walk on the Camel Trail and ended up spending 3 hours here. Great staff, great beer and great food. Ended up here later in the evening for a night cap!

Brilliant establishment. Friendly staff, great food (dinner and breakfast) although service for breakfast was a little slow. Will give these guys the benefit of the doubt seeing as we were a little early getting down! All in all definitely worth the money, you wont be disappointed!

They were very kind to my Mum went she went in and asked if they had room for 12 of us and our big dog. Unlike another place in town that shall remain nameless. We were told we could move tables around and get comfy and to shout if we needed any help. So far so good!
The rest of the meal continued with absolutely delicious beautifully kept ale. Squid rings that were to die for (thick, juicy, tender) and a lovely burger. The rest of the group all enjoyed their meals also. We were looked after brilliantly by a well mannered waitress.
If I find myself in this part of the world again I shall definitely be popping in for a beer and some squid rings. Thanks for having us in =)
Stayed two nights here on a trip around Cornwall and this was certainly the worst room we had out of four hotels. Bedroom was very small and could barely move around the bed given where the chair was placed. That could have been made better More
Stopped after a boat trip for coffee and a sandwich. Food and drink OK but expensive.
Room is great, receptionist is great and really friendly.
The only negative I have is the blonde manager woman at breakfast, she is the most miserable person I have ever met in my life, it s as if she doesnt want to be there at all.
Staff were very helpful, but the front desk closed too early. Room was ok but a long way up and down stairs. It didn t seem like an easy way out in a fire.
I have only stayed here the once, but i would recommend it as it was very cosy and the staff are very friendly, it also has excellent food and an excellent lever of cleanliness. the bar and restaurant are very cosy and warm with an excellent choice of food and drinks.
Very nice lunch of fish and chips, although I wished I could have tasted the whole menu as it looked delicious. Also went the extra step to find some Tia Maria for me during a busy period so many thanks.

The Old Custom House hotel didn't really work out for me, due to a lack of attention to detail. It's a "First World Problem", I realise, but this is not a budget hotel and I expected better.
The staff I interacted with were not friendly or helpful, with the exception of the barman who showed me the staircase to the rooms (thank you!) and the lady who checked me out the next morning.
Breakfast was not served early enough for me to catch my 8.05am bus, and I mentioned this when checking in. In this situation, many hotels will leave out cereal and milk so that the guest can have an early breakfast, but this was not offered. No problem, I thought, I'll have the biscuits and coffee from the amenities tray in my room, but when morning came I found no coffee (although there were six types of tea!).
When I was in the shower, I discovered that the shampoo/soap dispenser was empty. These are such little complaints, and I wouldn't mention them if this was a budget hotel.
Having said all that, the room was spacious, and the view was lovely.

Great food and variety. 8 different meals and we all enjoyed it. Average price and ok surroundings. Lots of dogs, but expected in Padstow
Fantastic location and view. Note is nicely updated and they had stain fans in the room which helped given the heatwave. Has a bar/restaurant downstairs but no noise from it. Would happily come back. Parking can be challenging but a spot always comes up with patience
Great location. Nice, well stocked bar and a decent restaurant attached. Rooms are ok when you consider the age of the building. If you want to stay in the centre of Padstow it would be hard to beat.

Lovely little place , perfect Location right on the harbor , Room nice and big , bathrooms big and shower was good . Bed a little soft for my liking and the breakfast time did not really suit our holiday timing ,but guess that's more my issue then theirs 8.30 -9.30 breakfast times , so no lay in . Woke up once for breakfast as we paid for it so why wouldn't you , pancakes and syrup , was not great to be honest pancakes were hard and slightly burnt and floating in a bowl of syrup prefer it drizzled over than swimming in , didn't wake up for any other breakfast so maybe was once off , but prefer to sleep while on holiday and not be up at 8 am . Overall nice clean B&B . Didn't get the greatest view either,but again that's luck of the draw I guess

The crab linguine was completely disgusting. Steak cooked well done even though we asked for medium. We sent back entire plates of food and the staff didn't even bat an eyelid or offer a discount. Avoid if you can.

My wife and I attended the Old Custom House, Padstow today, with our Great Dane Dog, and it was late Sunday afternoon. We were made very welcome and opted for the Rump Steak. It was to die for, really tasty and like steak used to be. The quality of food and presentation really prompted me to make comment. It represented excellent value for money. All thee staff were really pleasant and the place immaculately clean, but still had charm and character. We shall certainly be attending there again. Our dog is always well behaved but we appreciated the pub allowing us to bring him in. Service was excellent as was the food. Can only highly recommend.

Prime location in Padstow with great views over the camel estuary. Decent large pub downstairs and a nice oyster bar in connection to the pub. Large carpark just outside the hotel but keep in mind that it is very busy in high season. In fact the whole of padstow is very crowded in juli and august.

Stopped for a coffee and cake. It was perfect. Massive slices of cake and good strong coffee. Beautiful. Absolutely stuffed, couldn't finish it all!
Just had a meal here, mussels for starters and the biggest prawns I've ever seen for our main. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Good value for money. Will visit again

Food is well cooked, the staff are very friendly with a lovely sense of humour. Well worth going in for a drink or a meal. The Cornish Lager is a must try .
A great venue. Even though the place was totally packed, (May day celebrations!), it was easy to get to the bar with minimal waiting.
