We have gone to this place and other shoppers for years. Some of the prices are good but they are almost always out of products that we look for. They sometimes have milk or eggs. And some high-demand products are always gone. We rarely go anymore unless we are in the area.

Pharmacists are not friendly and very saucy. Asked about tooth cream and felt like I got told off. First they said there was nothing for my tooth pain except advil. It seemed like they thought I was there to get high or something. never been so embarrassed. I then asked about numbing cream and it was like the first time they ever heard about it. Pointed at the aisle that it was in and I asked, what one, to which he replied "your looking at it arnt ya!" . And then I asked about which one was better and the lady pharmacist said right saucy. "anyways" and served the next person.I'm super disgusted worst I ever been treated. I wrote this review in the parking lot I was so mistreated and felt like garbage for interrupting them. This happened on 11/20/16 at about 9pm.

Overall good pharmacy but had bad experience a few days ago with photo printing machine and the manager of the store. Printed photos onsite, some came out with strange streaks. Called the manager over, she said that machine had been having problems for some time now. She said we could get refunded for faulty photos but had to give them back to her so they could be destroyed. We eventually chose to keep them, but we got absolutely no compensation for the defective service we received nor for our wasted time. The next day I went to the same Shoppers, looked at the photo machine, and no paper sign had been put up saying "out of service". I'm frustrated with the management over this particular issue. Never getting photos printed there again

Tried calling this pharmacy MULTIPLE times. They don't seem to answer their phones at all. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting someone answered the phone and then promptly hung up on me. I had to call back and finally after 5 minutes someone answered. They were friendly but I was put on hold again, for 10 minutes. Perhaps it was busy I don't know....but why pick up the phone and then hang up on someone....that seems bizarre.

Although they have a great selection of items, as does any Shoppers Drug Mart now, their customer service skills are sadly lacking. Especially the pharmacy team. I spoke to one pharmacist once who seemed nice, but the rest of the staff....
1) I always feel like I'm interrupting or keeping them from doing something more important. I think they are fairly thorough, but the pharmacy team needs to take happy pills or get more staff hired.
2) When I call with questions they always sound rushed and get annoyed when I ask for a prescription the same day.
3) I don't like the fact that when I get my medications I don't get a detailed list of what other medications I've had and whether I have repeats left.I get this in Ontario and thought all stores followed a set of rules and procedures. I don't even know what the dispensing fees are as they are not on my receipts. My accountant always asks for this information.
I will go back though because I don't have a lot of options for drugstores in St. John's, and I don't have a car. I can walk to this location.
Step it up Shoppers, I am not happy with my new drug store.
