Pretty location, yummy food but a little too expensive in my opinion.

I went for dinner on the 30/7 with a friend.
I never been to the new renovated section,the bottle shop entrance, you turn to the right.
We got sitter next to the fire place.
The atmosphere and food,serving was amazing.Very cosy and classy.
Food was delicious.I will definitely be back.

Best run pub on the north shore. Exemplary staff service and management, a delight to visit.

The Oaks has a fantastic beer garden but they just can't get the service right. It's the same old Sydney issue, bar staff come off as cold and act as though they are doing you a major favour. The young female bar staff need to pull their heads in and understand it's "not all about them". They are there to serve, their own ego's do NOT matter...

The tree lighting is wow. Specially if that can be a moonlit night

What a fun place, with that beautiful oak tree in the middle to provide atmosphere. And the chicken burger was delish!

What a beautiful place to take pic while enjoying food in here. I was here for Christmas dinner with colleagues and it was amazing. Food was great and not too expensive. It's average and affordable

It's a great venue for excellent pub food and a comfortable dining experience. The dining area is generally a bit quieter than the outdoor seating. The steaks are delicious and the wine menu offers a good range. The service is always very friendly and accommodating.

Great local place with a labyrinth of various spaces for dining, private events, playing pool, etc. Would recommend having a look.

Nice outdoor beer garden. Probably a little too pricey for my liking but that is indicative of the area.

Visited this venue for the first time in a long while. Great service and staff are friendly. Excellent craft beer available too. Love their Christmas decorations too.

This is one of my favourite venues in Neutral Bay. The beer garden is great on a warm day and there is plenty of room for large groups. Drinks are decent in price and the bar staff are very helpful.
The food is great and it's one of the few places I found Buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce. There is also a 'cook your own steak' option, which is great fun.
They host some meat classes sometimes which are very educational.
There are plenty of pool tables upstairs and it's a great place for birthdays and other events

Beautiful outdoor seating under an amazing oak tree.

Large Venue with good food, plenty of pool tables and most of all a magnificent Oak tree towers over the bistro.

What great venue, the new upgrade has been a huge improvement...great relaxing good atmosphere.

Beer garden at night is amazing. Great staff. Food superb. Nothing I can fault except maybe the price of the Peanuts!

Not sure what to say about all the changes having invested so much of my 20 s salary back in the 90 s. Love the new restaurant but Taffy s is just tacky. But hey everyone is trying hard so that gets a 5.

First time going there. I ordered the Thai beef salad. The salad was old and soggy. I complained to both the girl at the front and the manager. The manager was not apologetic. She asked if I want another one. I was turned off from the food and expected her to say sorry at least once or offer refund. I only gave a one because my boyfriends burger was ok.

Great venue, fantastic food, well managed and the staff are always helpful, polite and extremely professional. I can't recommend the oaks enough

Really good pub with a great atmosphere.

We went there for lunch on a Sunday and got a good spot out in the courtyard, definitely the place to, be on a sunny day.

We had the chicken Breast and the steak, both were well made and all components were pretty good.

Portion size was a little on the smaller side, especially for a pub.

Overall a good experience, definitely recommended.

I've never loved this place though I try. The outdoor eating area is great but the food is not cheap. It is fun to play pool upstairs, especially early in the week when the usual weekend crowd isn't there. There are lots of fights and drunk people weekends.

The majestic Oak in the back makes this pub a one of a kind. on top of that, there are a handful of private pool rooms upstairs accompanied with a bar. This place would be a 5 if the food was a little fresher. All around great place though!

This is the number one hotel in Sydney. Great food , fast service and good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

An iconic pub that's served us well for years and a recent make over gives the old lady a fresh look - it's a pub with many fond memories and that huge oak tree.

Food and atmosphere in the courtyard are great, relaxed and enjoyable, in my opinion best steaks in Sydney, live acoustic music on Friday night's and always a packed DJ house on Saturday nights

Backyard is very beautiful especially at night. Food is all right.

The Oaks Hotel is an iconic hotel located in Neutral Bay. Nothing better than sitting under the Oak tree on a Sunday afternoon eating fresh oysters with wine or beer. The food served her is fabulous at a reasonable price. The sports bar is a great alternative if that is your thing. Very friendly staff. Overall one of my favourite pubs in Sydney.

I love this place, been coming here for 20 years. Great atmosphere, great staff, I used to enjoy cooking my own steak but don't anymore. Food can be pricey and rarely eat there. They have so many different parts of the place that create a different experience in the same venue, in the same night. Big fan!

Gone down in my estimation.
$23.0 0 for a very,very ordinary hamburger in fact it was so average.
$28.00 for flathead, had to ask for lemon and also had to ask for tartare sauce.
Service slow, wasn't a busy Tuesday afternoon.
Come on the Oaks, you are an icon but food ordinary and far too expensive. I have heard other people say they are not going t here as often due cost now I know why.

The Oaks has undergone something of a revolution of late led in no small part by the newly renovated Bar & Grill section. It's a steakhouse vibe created for the meataholic where you can choose your cut and your cooking style. Prepare for meat sweats. You've still got the old school pub in the front section and the lovely courtyard out back as well as the notorious pool rooms on the top level where many an evening has been lost in a snooker-fueled haze. The Oaks remains a local favourite but the new Bar & Grill make it worth a trip across the bridge.

Great vibe, great choice of beers on tap. Attentive staff clean and tidy

Very bad service. First, was being attended to by a staff and then got ignored for some time to serve other behind me. Second, paid for my takeaway coffee but got nothing in the end coz the staff cant find any container. Wastwd 15 minutes foe nothing.

We like this place. Verity of spaces and good service. Even a dancefloor!

Been here many times, it's my local. Definitely nice at night when the Oak tree in the courtyard out the back is all lit up, great for a date (food is also great) or to catch up with friends.
