Deplorable, despicable and greedy. Living at a property owned by this company. Had an issue where money from my rent account was fraudulently taken, expressed this to the leasing office, they were more than willing to start the eviction process and throw me and my children in the streets during Christmas. They "oh-so generously" said they would give us to the 10th, but charge us late fees (which I understand, but finances are thin around Christmas), but would provide us with a letter to vacate. I have never in my life come across a company so cold and uncaring. Should have expected as much from people who told me the tragic death of a family member shouldn't be priority, that the way the yard appears should be, because "they don't want their management company" to get on them. I will not recommend any property under the NRP umbrella to anyone. I will advise them to go somewhere that cares about it's residents, not their money, or exploiting people for more money.
*Edit* While the response is appreciated, it still leaves me with a feeling that it is going to go unheeded, and I will be receiving retaliation from the management office. I do not understand how you are able to keep a property manager in your employ who is absolutely disgusting to the residents, laughs at our misfortunes and ignores requests. San Antonio is in a population boom (4.1% growth), so it would behoove one to have property management that attracts residents, not repels. Just my two cents.

I am a resident at Emerald Village Apartments in San Antonio TX. I have lived there several years and enjoy the beautiful pool, internet cafe and gym area. The maintenence and office staff are efficient , courteous and friendly.
This group took over my building less than a month ago. They haven t improved anything yet and aren t even fully staffed but felt the need to restrict a pet friendly area severely before doing anything else. An area that was advertised as a reason for pet owners to move into a more expensive building and a main reason I chose to spend the money when I moved in September. They told me to my face they wouldn t be making any immediate changes and then before they even do anything to benefit the building they restricted pet hours to during working hours or after 7 when it s pitch black outside. I wouldn t trust anything they tell you if you re looking at one of their buildings. I m stuck with them now as they took over after I signed a lease when the previous company was here.
Horrible unprofessional company all the way up to corporate. BIG LAIRS!!!! Never return phone calls. They messed up and needed to refund me my $200.00. Said it would be 30 days passed that. No one in the corporate branch in San ANTONIO or Cleveland return messages. Even lied about my refund check delivery date. Had me running to my mail box every day. Be careful of who you give your money to for business deals.
Being an LLC should have been my first inclination of how crooked this company is. The second was the day I picked up my keys and the apartment had not been cleaned and there were countless water leaks with mold growing. We tried to get the manager of Grand at Dominion to come look at our apt, but she wasn't to keen on leaving the office. She sent maintenance over and he said he couldn't do anything. I had a moving truck on the way a 2 babies with me or I would have walked away that day. I trusted someone would do the repairs promisied and I deep cleaned the animal hair and cat litter that was scattered about the house, as well as mildew. There was mold someone tried to cover up by spray painting the areas and a moldy patch in the bathroom ceiling. The apt was completley unhabitable yet for 6 months I paid over $1800 while the repairs went undone. When I finally sent in an email request because the portal requests were going un noticed, I was sent an email by the regional manager stating my request was hilarious and I could move without penalty. For anyone who does get desperate and sign a lease with this company if the property fails to do repairs within 10 they are in breech of contract. No one is doing the tenants favors by taking money for a dump and letting you move before the lease is up without penalty. Get a lawyer NRP group is a slum.lord. I hope to see a class action suit soon and have money returned to me for paying more than market value for an uninhabitable apartment, money I spent on cleaning carpets, repairs and the short notice on a move.
Checked out the Egret Point property in Winnabow, NC. Waiting list is over 100 names long yet you will gladly take my $140 application fee ($35 per adult/family of 4). No concession on this fee even though 2 of the 4 adults in my family are mentally challenged. NRP might want to consider a "family" fee in addition to per person, and take the disabled community into consideration... accessibility extends beyond building modifications
We have been working with NRP for four years now on a number of projects. Their leadership is exemplary, and their staff is a pleasure to deal with. The have done and continue to do so much for the community at large. Keep up the great work.
Ive been a resident at Southen Gateway Homes in Columbus Ohio since the homes were built in 2013. Since then, we have ahd 4 different leasing agents, 2 of whom were removed for theft, and none that have been professional, efficient or a proper fit for the position. I've even received my NEIGHBORS notices to leave, by mistake, with her personal information in the past!! When I sent an e-mail to the leasing agent, her respone, all mis-spelled, was "If it's not for you, it's not for you."????? I have made SEVERAL repair requests and can't even get anyone to answer the phone nor respond to any voicemails. I left vm's THIS go around 3/6, 3/9, 3/12, 3/13, and 3/16. No call backs, no follow-up, NOTHING. I take pride in my home and have never had any negative feedback or issues on my part with the company. I'm a member of our neighborhood association, volunteer in my community, work closely with public officials and local groups to ensure sustainability and I'm HIGHLY disappointed in the service recieved by NRP's leasing representatives and maintenance team. My opinion is that a knowledgable leasing agent, who is experienced and effective with working with a diverse group, has excellent communication and organizational skills, is an ethical person and who WANTS to their job, would help prevent these issues. It would be very sad to see hard-working, law abiding ciitizens who are striving to be home-owners begin to leave Southern Gateway due to so many isssues. I'm sure NRP wants people who TAKE care of their properties and pay on time to remain tenants. I would just like my kitchen floor repaired (the tile has come loose and is a tripping hazard) and some touch-up paint so I can paint the interior walls for spring. Keep them fresh and nice. The paint is flat paint and comes off the walls when you wash them. These are nice homes and I appreciate living here. I would just like to be appreciated as a tenant, as well. AFTER calling corporate on 3/16 AND posting this review, I received a call from Lisa. My FIRST conversation with her as she is the NEW leasing agent. She advised me that on FIVE seperate messages, I left the wrong phone number. On FIVE seperate messages? I advised her that I left several calls and she raised her voice and interrupted me and told me that I left the wrong last 2 digits of the number, YES five different times. She then advised that she will have the maintenance man take the old, dirty, marked up tiles from underneath my refrigerator (it's been there 4 years) and put them where the tiling is lifting up. So NO tile will be under the fridge and these used tiles will be exposed. First, she lied to me and advised I left the wrong number 5 seperate times. How did you get it today, then? Instead of admitting my calls were ignored and she called today due to pressure from upper manangement, She placed the blame on ME- the customer (with a lie) instead of taking responsibility for her actions. Inexcusable and unacceptable behavior, once again, from a leasing agent representing your group. I try not to complain, but this is so very unfair to tenants like myself. Hopefully your group will find someone who can communicate effectively with your tenants. We are discussing these issues in our next meeting to find a way to work with NRP to resolve this continuous, unaceceptable behavior. IT'S NOW 3/27 and NO RESPONSE , NO REPAIRS COMPLETED, NO CONTACT FROM OFFICE, CORPORATE, MANAGEMENT......NOTHING.
WELL NOW THAT I POSTED THIS REVIEW THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE DOWN AND IN REFUSED AS WELL AS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE NEW LEASING AGENT....GUESS WHAT? THEY CLAIM MY MONEY ORDER (THAT I WAS FORCED TO PURCHSE BECASUE THEY CHANGED THE RENT PAYMENT SITE AND NEVER INFORMED ANY RESIDENTS) HAS BEEN STOLEN. AND THAT I HAVE TO PAY THEM RENT ALL OVER AGIN WHILE THEY REFUSE TO CHECK THE SECURITY CAMERAS AFTER I HAVE ADVISED SEVERAL TIMES IM ON CAMERA MAKING THE DEPOSIT, AND BEEN HERE 5 YEARS WITH NOOOOOO RENT PAYMENT ISSUES. UNTIL AFTER THE COMPLAINTS. and repairs were never even STARTED!!!!!!!!
Beware of the NRP Group! This company falsified information and stole over $200 in money orders from me. I reached out to upper management and no one has returned my call and/or e-mails, since 11/3/2017
I called this company in regards to a property location who have been giving me the run around for the past two months. The woman who answered the phone did not seem to even understand or care to address my concerns before she pushed me off on to the next person. There was no empathy or sign of understanding. Which leads me to believe the whole company has no ethics at all and is okay with unprofessional and shady business. I asked if she had the ability to email me information for the person she was transferring me to. Her replay was "yes I do." I then followed with "can you email me damion s phone number and email address? So I can be able to contact him since I am driving." She then says "no I can't send emails." I had this same experience with the property they own. I would never recommend anyone does business with this company or their affiliates. No one takes owner ship.
Currently a resident at edge 1909 in Pittsburgh, PA. The building isn't even 6 months old, and the wood paneling on the windows is falling off, tile in the hallways is coming up, and the elevators are broken every other week. There are lots of rules and restrictions on the amenities. I can't even take my dog into any of the outside spaces. So much for pet friendly. And the construction company is protesting outside the building against NRP.
Please remove Brandy and Diana from edge 1909. They are failing to keep us safe.
I have lived at Edge 1909 for two years and will be moving out as soon as possible. The highlights of the property primarily relate to its location. I have become increasingly frustrated by the complete dereliction of duty by the management team. The recent COVID pandemic has exacerbated the issues. It appears that there were residents that had/have COVID in the building and management has failed to create a safe environment (cleaning has been suspended/no package delivery). If you decide to tour the building, you will soon realize that the units were cheaply made - cracks in the walls, chipped paint, gaps in the molding. Additionally, the water heaters routinely go out. Finally, there is an odd dynamic with the residents. Many residents will report other residents when they are using amenities. This includes getting your picture taken then having it publicly posted to a Facebook page.
Horrible, Horrible Property Management at the Costa Vizcaya Apartments, 12020 N. Gessner, Houston TX 77064. How many time should you tell a management company that there is mold in the walls? So now I have taken pictures to show these people that primer, paint and a fan is not going to remedy this 3 month old problem. 3 months is entirely too long to talk to Matilda who is obviously uninformed about property management and or mold. They don't even deserve 1 star. So very dissatisfied. Do not waste your time with this property, they are horrible and as soon as July 2017 comes, I will move.
I just moved in to one of their properties and its been annoying... I asked about the construction across the street before I moved in and the leasing agent said they were done. I move in and I see they are about to start building 4 more units right across from my apt so that will be a fun summer of construction noise and dust to deal with...
Also no one told me where the trash room was or how to buzz guests in when I moved in so I guess you are just supposed to figure that out yourself...
I kept getting emails with the wrong move in date as well. Moving is already stressful and this place did not make it any easier.
I have noticed that the walls are super thin and you can hear everything in the hallways which sucks, they charge premium prices but its all builder grade construction with no insulation or sound proofing.
They also didn't change the filters in the HVAC before I moved in I had to make a maintenance request to get that done.
I had an unauthorized charge on my rent and it took me two days to get clarification on that, I paid my rent and it didn't go through because their website sucks.
I have been trying to get in contact with a manager for a three weeks and no one has contacted me yet. These people don't care about the residents. Last night they had a private party that everyone was here for but couldn't take the time to help me with my issues.
