Elegant and sophisticated hotel in the Nomad/Flatiron neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Limited lobby space but there s a nice bar and restaurant. I find I like the restaurant for breakfast but it s too avant-garde for my tastes at dinner.

Here I tried the restaurant and it was love at first sight, I also had the breakfast up to expectations.
I didn't give the fifth star because I didn't sleep here

Came here with my husband for a date night. The atmosphere/decor is beautiful, with great seating. The cocktail I had (Nod to Nothing) was amazing- lemony and refreshing- and our meal was perfect. We got the artichoke and corn appetizers to share and I got the beef entree and my husband got the duck. The service is incredible and we had a great time. It costs a pretty penny but it's fine dining.

One of the best places to eat in NYC. Went there for an anniversary dinner and they gave us such special treatment, hand written card, printed menu and a special appetizer. The roast chicken for two is a must. Servers were extremely friendly and attentive. My only gripe is that the restrooms are a long walk from the restaurant.

The bar in NoMad is great. Awesome cocktails and fantastic atmosphere. There is an incredibly diverse set of patrons, from tourists to business people to locals that means the bar is always interesting.

Beautifully appointed rooms. They are a little dark, needs more lighting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is excellent and the library bar in the back of the restaurant is a happening place at night. We had coffee and breakfast in the library beside the live Christmas tree...it was perfect! Pleasant staff and very accommodating.

This review is on the Journal Rm only. I went to the Women & Whisky event at this hotel. From the start the doorman and all of the other staff were very friendly. The decor is mahogany rich in color and furnishings. Just beautiful. The event I attended was in the Journal Room. The mahogany theme was present here as well. Upon entering there is a bar. Room was a long rectangle room which lead to glass doors that open into an outdoor garden with marble tables. Very beautiful and would be fitting for any event.

Went to the Nomad for a special occasion dinner. The space and food were phenomenal, although prices were (as expected) on the higher end. Certainly one of the best options for a dinner bound to impress in the area.

Amazing brunch. Prices are what you'd expect from such a nice place in NYC, so high, but not insane. The chicken sandwich is completely worth the price tag, splurge for some fries as well. Drinks are also very potent. I had the seasonal spiked hot apple cider and the one drink was enough, although it was so tasty I wanted more! The milk and honey dessert was a bit lackluster compared to the rest of the meal however. Overall, I highly recommend. If you're going for brunch, try to get a seat in the atrium-like front of the house. It's sun-drenched and gorgeous for a date!

Incredible staff. Reached out almost immediately after booking, helped arrange reservations at the restaurant, and facilitated a wonderful stay in NYC (including print tickets to a show on a moment's notice). Could not have been more pleased with this stay.

I watched the Magician at the NoMad featuring Dan White and the show was epic. I would highly recommend the show and say the effort it takes to get tix is worth it. The hotel itself is very nice and the atmosphere of the halls are of old elegance. Very cool place, very cool show.

The decor is warm and the chicken is exactly what you've read it would be. The stand out was the service which walked that fine line of being warm and attentive without hovering. Joking and letting out group take our time over bottles of week selected wine with the help of their sommelier.

Came to this establishment for a birthday celebration and my once a year birthday burger. There was not a single shred of disappointment from nomad. The drinks were made to perfection and I am going to have dreams of that burger for weeks to come. Thanks Nomad for making it a memorable birthday.

The library bar had really nice atmosphere but the food took a long time to come and a few things we ordered were forgotten. That being said we were a very large group and overall it was a good experience.

Very very good cocktails (bar is ranked #4 in the world and #1 in the US). And nice place with lots of different rooms / ambiance. I was just disappointed by how noisy this place was.... it's crowded and everybody is screaming at each other, as good New Yorkers do... It killed the whole concept of this "VIP / Date" spot

The Nomad made a perfect birthday dinner treat. A much more affordable and accessible alternative to Eleven Madison Park with equally fantastic food, the Nomad made our visit very memorable.

The drinks: started with cocktails at the bar which were very good and the bartenders weren't overly showy.
We continued with more cocktails with the appetizer and weren't disappointed. Again they were very nicely mixed and tasty.
Moved to the specialty beer pairing with the chicken which went very well with it. I would just drink this all night as it was malty perfection.
The beer menu is huge and has some rararities including the oft sought after Pliny the Elder, often rated the best beer in the world and on the menu for $50 a glass. I had to try this and was disappointed, but this wasn't the restaurant's fault.
Coffee. They serve inteligista coffee which was very good. I'm normally not ok drinking coffee black but this had enough flavor to not need any additions.

The food:
We started with the beef tartar which was excellent. I've never had such a moist slice of beef and it was clearly just sliced.
We had to get the chicken based on recommendations and reviews. They make a bit of a show of it by showing you the cooked bird before slicing it up. The truffle under the skin is decadent and over the top but delicious. I've never had chicken anything like this and doubt I will anywhere else. There is just nothing in common with the taste of any of chicken I've had. Obviously a must try.
Milk and Honey. I didn't know this was the dish to get but from the menu it spoke to my childhood and I just had to try it. It was fantastic and took me back to breakfast cereals of yore. Very crispy and sweet in a perfect way.

Atmosphere and Service: I've never seen a higher proportion of staff to customers in a restaurant. Staff is litteraly waiting in the corners to meet your eye and swoop in for help. The tables are a bit close but the ambiance makes for quiet conversations so it isn't really distracting. Very upscale and romantic.
