As I read the reviews of the NEAT company there is...

As I read the reviews of the NEAT company there is alot of reviews of Poor Support.. I want to correct that.... "There Is No Support" for their product.... there is no way to get anyone on the phone and now, we have just been notified that the Desktop Platform will no longer be supported or updated, so essentially for us the product we purchased 6 months ago is DEAD. Neat has decided that everyone working with their product must transition to the web portal and work in the cloud. I did not choose the "cloud" option for a reason... I do not trust it ... If the IRS, numerous Federal agencies and consumer companies get hacked what about NEAT.... Think about it, every detail of your financial transactions being exposed....Not Me, we will not do on line banking, or bill pay... we paid for a product that allowed us to work with out the Cloud but Now Neat has discontinued that product. I can not even get a person on the phone to ask for a return authorization. We have sent in support tickets with out any answers, this is crazy..

So, starting today my goal is to turn any potential Neat Customer away from the product, review on every forum or outlet on the web to the point that I stop people from buying their lack of customer care! We as customers have a voice on the internet and I hope that I can stop the sale of at least 100 or more Neat products and or services.... Companies like this need to be exposed for who they are..... I tried to be nice, just refund my $300 I paid ... .but, no...they don't do that... well lets see what I can do to loose them 50 times that by posting how they treat customers.... I have no doubt I can get that word out... and, I hope everyone on this thread does the same... Shame on the company and the executives at NEAT that let this go on... They need to be SHUT DOWN!

Pissed, you bet... you want to ignore me.... just watch what a tool can be for customers like me that you have burned... right now it is time to spread the word....

Outstanding technical support by Neat (Mark A.) to help set-up a 4 year old, unopened Neat desktop scanner organizer system. This is a "legacy" unit, that is "no longer supported", but they helped anyway. GREAT SERVICE! Thank you Neat.

I was having sync issues among 2 computers and 2 phones. The technician, Alma, was so conscientious and persistent with follow-up. She called when she said she would call and emailed when she said she would email until the issue was completely resolved. Great customer service!

The customer service center is impossible to reach...

The customer service center is impossible to reach. IF you are able to find a phone number, it usually doesn't work. WHEN you do get through, they put you on hold forever. I was hung up on several times by operators trying to transfer me (after the long wait UHHHHH!) I would not purchase this system again!

Works good for simple house hold records . Run your business through them and they hold your files hostage you can never leave there company or you loose your files. You have to keep paying to access your files. You can't get your files after you drop there service.

Alvi immediately put me at ease. I panicked because I was unable to open my application. I can't thank you enough for having him in your employ. He is an excellent technician and skilled at calming a woman in distress. Thank you again. I'm pleased with the cloud option potential and await my future with how it will work. He has been working steadily and remotely on the transfer of my files.

WOW!! Ronn from NEAT called me exactly on the dot ...

WOW!! Ronn from NEAT called me exactly on the dot and gave me a one hour tutorial, covering every single detail as we shared screens. I LOVE this program. I run two businesses; one in the medical field and the other from the many real estate investments that we have. I am in the process of going completely paperless and I have a clutter-free, file-free office that's totally organized. NEAT actually makes this process FUN. Now I can scan, save and send important documents, keep all of my real estate and business receipts, along with expense reports, I can send to quickbooks, and I can even keep the marketing ads from emails that my graphic artists send to me. NEAT hasn't missed a thing. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Sarah was AMAZING!! Would have been 5 stars, but had horrible experiences up to this point so just can t. I wish I had spoken with Sarah originally. I have been without my Neat for a year!! She spent so much time figuring out my problem and actually got it fixed! Fourth times the charm I guess... thanks Sarah!!!!!!!!

This company deserve 0 stars!!! Its a shame that such an great concept is managed by this garbage company. No customer service what so ever and on top of that they are practically scam artists stealing you money every month. I can NOT even get through to anyone to cancel the member ship. Im filing claims with my bank and suing this so called "Neat" Company!!

I ve been a long-time neat user and very much appreciate keeping electronic receipts to help with taxes. This has been such a cleaner method for organizing my tax files rather than keeping bulky paper copies. I ve used the old Neat software since 2014 and avoided upgrading to the web-based service, as I didn t want another fee-based service. However, with MacOS Catalina, the program will no longer work. So, I decided to upgrade and needed support with migrating years of files over to the cloud. Ramon, the neat representative, was very professional and helpful during this process. He made sure all my files transferred over successfully and was patient through all of it. Although it took quite some time, I m glad I didn t lose any data in this process and can upgrade my MacBook Pro without concern that I won t be able to use this amazing program!

I called for assistance in migration of files from a PC and newly acquired Mac to the cloud. I was assisted by Van who was fantastic to work with. The migration of data took place over the weekend and Van called back to check in with me on the process. It was refreshing to have someone from customer support call back. Van was able to get my scanner synced up with my Mac and had everything working in short order. I found his customer service to be professional and helpful. I would recommend using Neat cloud service based on this experience.

Abli was great with his help in resolving my issue, However the Neat company and its owner are greed filled no good thieves. I purchased a scanner machine for a lot of money and they just decided to say FU to its customers and make the machines stop working so they can steal additional money from its customers by forcing them into a monthly plan which is WAY overpriced for an average homeowner who does not scan much each month. I purchased this machine. Keep it working with the original agreement you greed filled pigs.

I have a Neat scanner in my office and have to say that the support staff are terrific! I have worked with both Ann and Alvie and got incredible service from both. They are patient, informative, and very informed on their products! They also have wonderful follow up. I highly recommend Neat!

I had some problems getting started but May Ann G. was very helpful in cutting through all the new user fog associated with a new software install. Very helpful, very cheerful, if this is the kind of support users can expect around the clock, then it's very reassuring indeed.

I wish there were 6 stars. Alvi is patient and professional. Alvi ran into a many issues all caused by my feeble attempt to remedy the situation (Including not remembering my password. ). Thank you NEAT for finding someone like Alvi. 43 years using a computer, it is a treat to work with someone of his caliber.

My computer had crumped and in rebuilding it, I couldn't get my NEAT program installed and able to connect with my NEAT mobile and desk scanners. I was becoming increasingly frustrated in that I use NEAT and the scanners daily. When I called NEAT and their representative, John, came on the line, everything changed. He walked me through several assessments and then reinstalling the software and linking up with the scanners. He was fabulous...calm, professional and involved. NEAT should be proud to have a gentleman like him helping support customers like me. NEAT...well done!!

Very helpful tech support, spent a lot of time migrating my desktop files to Cloud-based app, I couldn t have done it. Everyone I have spoken to has been friendly, helpful and professional! Special kudos to hard working, helpful Lance and Joseph D in tech support!!

Angelina was fantastic! I was very frustrated with my legacy Nest app and was going to abandon it. After talking and working with Angelina everything turned around. She walked me through everything, migrated my data, downloaded the newest version, got my account set up on my desktop laptop and mobile devices. I m now learning the new features and so appreciate the quality time she spent with me. Neat should be very proud of this very special lady.

Dolly was a fantastic support person, wow I shared...

Dolly was a fantastic support person, wow I shared my computer with her and boy she knew all the clicks here and there, I had no clue it had so many areas to click to fix my syn to the new neat web. Took 3 days to upload with some glitches, I emailed her and within 1/2 hour she called and re-connected and up and running. Now it is all complete. She's professional, courteous and explained all the detail she had to do to work.
Neat Web is new to me and totally different than folders in old software, if I get stuck, hope I can chat with her again.

Neat has one issue with their new scanner, if I want to scan documents as in past and save direct to my hard drive, it scans very dark, no setting in the scanner, now you have to transfer to neat web, open there then find the file then send back to your hard drive, a lot of steps. Hope Neat will fix this, so it works same as in past,

They keep claiming that the legacy (non-paid) edition is still a viable option for their scanners. However, they don't mention that they'll basically tell you to F off, if you have a problem with it. In my case, I couldn't re-install it and had to re-install my whole operating system. The cloud software is just as useless as the legacy software as well. Slow, and buggy with so many flaws. It will take you beyond the 30-day trial to realize this (after they have your money). If you like taking your hard-earned money (i.e. $120/year) and burning it, then by all means, try the cloud version. You'll be helping them pay for their past mistakes and incompetence.

I got much help for the problem of installing the program through the chatting, it was really helpful and finally solved the problem. Even though it took a long time because of my poor knowledge of the IT, the people had been patient and so nice and kind. I really appretcate it.

Mayanng was very patient with me as I am not tech savy. She was professional and made me feel very comfortable asking what others may have percieved as elementary questions. I would highly recommend her and applaud Neat Company for having someone on hand who represents them with good old fashioned customer service.

I have had issues with the Legacy program crashing...

I have had issues with the Legacy program crashing while I attempted to transition to the cloud powered version. Alexa, took a work day and a half to fix the problems with my files and took the time to export my files from the old system to the new. With such a large database, I really appreciate the patience and professionalism of Alexa. Thank you very much!

I bought not one but 2 neat connect scanners, the idea was to automate document management. I scan all of my vendor invoices and attach them to transactions in quickbooks online.
The delivery went fine
When I went to set them up , the simple instructions that came with it differed from the actual process though I was able to figure it out.
before buying them I confirmed that integration with online quickbooks was a feature that came with the machine
When I first set it up it allowed me to connect to quickbooks and even map my accounts, not all of the accounts showed up but again i couldn't get answers so I waited til the next day
I called, no way to get thru to them, try it yourself, you can not speak to a human.
It doesnt matter which path you take, support, sales, account help, nope no way can you get them
After much frustration I concluded that id have to buy one of the software packages at an extra cost. But I have questions about which one, cant get anyone.
Now it wont even let me connect ,. its as thought they changed the entire game over night without any explanation.
I tried to online chat feature and it asks my name but wont allow me to type an answer.
There is more to the story, but ive wasted hours on hold and searching for some assistance.
The sad part is that ill still buy the product adding insult to injury

YOUR COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I VE EVER EXPERIENCED.

When I upgraded my computer hard drive, I lost all my tax information for several years, and now they re threatening to ruin my credit, because I m not paying them for cloud storage of the information they scrambled and made useless.

They are impossible to reach by phone and I would never risk scanning anything on their software again.

It s very disappointing, because I wanted to like this company, and now they re threatening to sic a collection agency on me.

Ronn was very helpful in getting me set up with the new software and how to use it. I had an account, but had cancelled it last year and was looking for a new service. Ronn showed me how subscribing again to Neat would work for me, so I re-subscribed. He was very nice and guided me through the process. Hopefully, I will be able to communicate with the Neat technicians in the future when I need assistance.

I have been using neat software for years. I am sort of stuck with it and depend on it. The Company seems to be plagued with issues every time my operating system is upgraded, then Neat can sometimes take a very long time to fix all the bugs that show up. If there was an alternative provider of this software I would probably try it. The support is usually someone in some far off country and they are trained to try to upgrade you at the end of every support call. I wish that Quicken would buy them out as they have the best support I have ever dealt with.

I've been using Neat desk scanner since 2008 and I love it. My computer broke down but my scanner is still intack. I have to somehow connect my scanner to my new laptop. Now I have to adjust to the new technology scanning with or without the neatdesk using the iphone or android and that is a BIG CHALLENGE. I usually save my documents in an external drive.now I have to use the icloud which is MORE CHALLENGING. Thank you Steven R for patiently explaining that I have to use the icloud and can access my documents wherever there is internet. I dont have to carry my neatdesk to scan documents outside for I can use my phone,THAT EASY. GOD IS GOOD. :)

I was very pleased with the professional and courteous disposition that Maria m provided to me during my most recent call to the help line. I was not pleased to find out that my ND1000 was having some problems with my security system that I have had since I purchased the computer and the Neat scanner. Maria tried to resolve the problem and I feel she spent a great deal of time with me (close to an hour). Regardless, Maria was very helpful and polite. I do not feel that a company should stop support a product that it developed, just because it developed a new platform to store the scanned data. The product really did not change. Oh well, I needed the scanner; thus, I purchased the membership for a year. Hopefully, I will be able to get all my scanning done within this time frame.

I called Neat and got Melvin on the line. He was very knowledgeable and did a remote desktop and got everything set up and migrated over to the new software from the old versions that I was using. Everything is working flawlessly now and all I had to do was sit back, relax, and watch the screen! He was very pleasant to deal with.

With software like this, the support can be as important or even more so because if it isn't working correctly, then it is no good to anyone.

Melvin is a great asset to The Neat Company and an added value to their product!

First of all a 1 star is to much they don't deserve any stars. Fraud this is what this company is. I purchased the Neat Desk set it up and now it says I have to purchase a plain in order for it to work with my Quickbooks. No where did it state that when it was being set up. Now all I can do is throw this in the trash because I should not have to pay for it to work. I called all I was told SORRY it states that on our home page on line. No where in the pamphlet or on the outside of the box does it state anything like this I will be making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.and consumer protection agency.

horrible customer service. I paid for business because it says on site you get phone call support. Yet when u call they make so you basically self help through prompt. Misleading advertising. If your going to charge ppl a premium you shouldnt be outsourcing the phone support to some poor country so you can increase your profit

Claire was extremely helpful and courteous through her almost 2 hours of support in migrating my old database over to the new cloud via remote access. Everything went smooth and she was the best tech support you can ask for. This is why I have been a loyal Customer of Neat for the past 10 years.

It's not often you get service beyond your expecta...

It's not often you get service beyond your expectations in today's rat race, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the courtesy, professionalism and outstanding service given by CLAIR. My upgrade was done efficiently, and all subsequent requirements accomplished in record time. Essentially, Clair is an asset to the Neat company and should be recognised for her superior service. Thank you Claire, you're the best!
