They have nice enough personalities, but my recruiter was sub-par. He seemed knowledgeable on the phone, but he had zero commitment to me as a candidate. He went on vacation a couple days after calling me/submitting my resume, and his account manager failed to follow up with me 3 weeks after having interviewed for a job where I was a 'strong candidate.' After I wasn't hired (which I had to follow up to find out), they never reached out to me again. There are and endless number of better recruiting companies that will actually care about you as a candidate.

I loveee this agency! By far the best one I've been a part of. Brooke is the best, she cares so much about my employment placement and she works hard to ensure I am happy. She is patient and fights to make sure I receive the best placement with my desired pay! She's honestly been a blessing! I would HIGHLY recommend this temp agency for anyone looking for a job! =)
Good staffing service to work for. I have been placed at a great company and continue to work there. People at Midtown are nice and responsive to my requests and needs. Only reason I didn't give five stars is the lack of time off or holiday pay but this may be due to contract. Otherwise good experience.
I started with the company back in March, the start of the pandemic they have checked on me every month since then and it makes me feel appreciated. out of all the companies I've worked for Midtown is the best.
I love working with Midtown Group because they genuinely care for their people and ensure they help their clients secure professional, well-compensated, and highly respectable positions within great companies.
My recruiter wholeheartedly supported me during the interview and post interview process and I will forever be grateful to her for that especially during these difficult economic times.
I have no complaints. It has been great working for The Midtown group. The communication is excellent and whenever I have an issue or question it is resolved quickly.
The Midtown Group is one of the most impressive agencies which I've had the opportunity to partner with for the last years now . They are a proven group of professionals who have a passion for what they do as a agency. They remain consistent in actively listening and being responsive as it relates to supporting my career objectives. I would (and have) recommend The Midtown Group to anyone looking for their next opportunity!
Recruiters are not good at communicating with their employees, very unprofessional. Sometimes the pay is late due to their bank issues , you would think after 3 years of repeated issues they would solve it but no. Now where they place you for work is a different story. Their agency is not in affiliation of the contracted jobs and there lack of is not necessarily the same for that of where they send you to work.
I would like to thank Midtown Group for assisting me in securing a new Job. I had lost all hope on recruiters until Justin Wilson (The Best Recruiter in DC) from Midtown group called me, and within 3 days I got a job. I have been working here for a week now, and Justin has been following up with me to make sure I settle in properly. I m really excited about this position, and the company I work for is really amazing. I highly recommend Midtown Group especially for International Students (F-1) on OPT. The best Employment Agency in Washington DC. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Three Months with Midtown Group and they have been wonderful to me. I have never missed a paycheck or had any issues. The company I work for has been absolutely welcoming, given me opportunity to grow and I can say I see a future with the company. I m so thankful to Midtown group for the opportunity.
Midtown is very professional within this organization. When one of my contracts ended they searched for a new contract for me and I appreciate that. Love midtown!
Gloria and Tasha are the sweetest. I love how flexible Midtown is with your schedule. It was also a sweet surprise to accrue sick leave and also be personally visited by Tasha (with a schmorgaspord of food)! I have been with Midtown a few months now, and I only have good things to say.
The Midtown Group has always treated me with utmost respect and professionalism. I have them to thank for my career advancement. Will always be thankful for them. I recommend Midtown to anyone looking for a career change
This was one of the worst experiences i've had in my working experience. Molly recruited me to work for D.C Streetcar as a maintenance tech in August. Before I accepted the position I explained that I could not start off working the night shift, I already had a job so keep in mind if I couldn't have been accommodated I was fine. She stated that she spoke with the supervisors and it was ok. So I gave my previous job notice and started for Midtown on September 17th. On October 31st I get a call from Molly stating I was being fired because Dave Sitra told her it was told to him by other employees that I said I would quit if I was put on night shift... which was totally false. I then reached out to co workers to tell them about it and they heard nothing about it so then I called Molly back to say no one knows what Dave is talking about and she said " you called and asked your co workers? That is very unprofessional and you have a nice life and hung up on me. Now is this the type of professional attitude that is displayed at a place of business? I don't think so. I later reached out to Molly for her to email me a written statement on why I was terminated and there was no response after she responded to a previous question about the contract and stated I didn't sign one. I came to work on time every day I was employed there even stayed overtime to learn more. In my mind Dave had some type of animosity towards me and wanted me gone and Molly co signed for it to happen.
Midtown Group has provided me with several amazing jobs. They work around my availability and always find a placement for me that works with my schedule and increases my experience in the field I want to work in. You will be placed at a site in no time. I highly recommend Midtown Group to anyone looking for a new, fulfilling and beneficial job opportunity!!
Enjoy my job placement but there is little to no contact with my recruiter. They take forever to get back to me. I was not told about any sick leave that i accrued until a new employee saw sick leave on their paystub. I had to call payroll to have my sick leave activated on my timesheet and saw that I had over 50 hours of leave!
My recruiter Molly O'Riley-Pol is a top notch professional in what she does. Molly works hard for her employees, I've never seen a recruiter in all my years of working with such dedication and perseverance. Molly is truly and completely an asset to The Midtown Group. Molly thank you for all that you do YOU ROCK!
Working for Midtown has been a wonderful experience. They are efficient, professional, timely, and courteous. I am glad I have the opportunity to work for such a great company. Thank you Midtown for making the experience remarkable.
It is very disheartening to write a bad review for your old client, but The Midtown Group left us no choice. They owe us $2546 for the services they took from us in the months of September and October 2020, but still has not paid us. Mr. John Adlon From Their Accounting team last emailed to us on 4th of March 2020 saying that he'll clear the payment and since then he's been dodging our calls and not responding to the emails as well.
We marked copy to Mr. Edward Wilde and Mr. Arin Akopian as well to our payment reminder emails, which we were asked to do by one of their receptionist when we inquired if we can reach out to someone else who can help us in this regards.
We had a good Business Relationship with them while they were still a client and never thought that we would have to write a negative review for them or for anyone else for that matter.
We being a Service Provider based out of India work against the nature(Graveyard shifts mostly) and provide services to companies in North America and Europe at very low prices with very low profit margin and when we do not get paid, it becomes very hard for a company like us to survive and continue our business.
I am very thankful for their management, And they really help me to get the job. Midtown Group recommends me to an organization and they hired me. At the end of my comments, I would like to thank the Midtown Group team to support and help me to have this opportunity.
Midtown Group has been an amazing employer! I work in SF, and they are in DC, and even with the time change they are ALWAYS so responsive to anything that might arise. Everyone at Midtown, but a special shoutout to Tasha, has been excellent during the pandemic. They even sent us a little goodie bag with hand sanitizer, face mask, and a notebook. They also ensured that I had everything that I needed to work from home.
The Midtown Group is the best. I have experienced a lot during my tenure in the work force and by far The Midtown Group is the at the top of my list to seek employment. Customer Service is at it's best and my personal contact (POC - Molly O'Reilly-Pol) is the best recruiter I've met. If you are seeking employment please reach out to her and she will put a smile on your face. Thank you Molly for all you do. Blessings to you and your team!!
I've been with Midtown for over a year and it's been a wonderful experience. Easily the best contractor I've worked with. My check is always on time. When tax time comes, my documents are always in order and sent when requested. My representative Molly is like the flash when it comes to communication. I've never seen anyone in my professional life reply faster then her when I have a question or concern. Any time of day, any day of the week, and Molly's there to help. Last year I sustained a pretty serious injury and needed a few months of downtime. Midtown worked with me so I didn't lose my job while I was recovering. The Midtown group's professional, courteous and prompt. There's not much more you can ask for from your contractor.
The Midtown Group is a wonderful place to work with , they have great recruiters such as Brooke Douglass who worked with me diligently for months to try to place me in the right position and landed me at The World Bank in which I am so grateful for. They treat there workers with respect and loyalty at Midtown and lead workers to wonderful career roles set for life!!
My professional journey by means of Midtown in the DC gov't has been remarkable. I grown so fast being willing to learn and wanting to be taught. I've adapted well into the culture of the agency, due to which my role has been deemed as essential. Now during this unfortunate pandemic we continue to service the public, remotely, but by any means during this trying time. Midtown is still playing a positive role in these effects. I'm thankful to be in this position.
Very upset with this company, they reached out to me and like 20 other people about an opportunity, we signed paperwork and sent back and then it turns out it s on hold.. it s been over a month now. Then they reach out again about another opportunity beginning this week, ask for ssn and to sign an attachment, and now they are saying we weren t chosen but there is another opportunity... First of all why is the ssn needed? This seems like a big scam I am hoping they don t use people s ssn. Again, with this new opportunity one of the recruiters was going to send us paperwork, in reality this is all just a scam and It d be best for them to stop wasting peoples time. There are people that actually need jobs. I don t recommend!! although Melissa and Justin are nice, what they are doing is unprofessional. A professional company wouldn t make candidates fill out paperwork and personal information every time there is a new opportunity.
I'm so proud of midtown groups, doing my covid 19 experience they was right there by my side checking in on me and making sure that I was doing ok, and that means a lot to me. Thank you everyone at midtown groups.
Midtown group has been so helpful, responsive and very professional! My recruiter understood my resume and my strengths and reached out to me with a great job fit! Highly recommend!
I was recruited to work in their office on Connecticut ave. They must train their entire staff to fake being happy (I do know the owner, Helen, said that everyone must be optimistic who works for her) because I fell for it. I got along with everyone, and the job they sold me sounded ideal, and I was very excited...until I was called with an offer of employement.
The offer, job, and even job title was nothing that we had discussed, and was below my skillset. Plus, they wanted me to take a decrease in pay and responsibilities, but it's worse than this. I met with the owner on a Tues, and I told her I had 2 job offers pending. On thursday I emailed and asked for an update. I was emailed that same day and they told me to come in as quickly as possible, for a third interview--by now I have met 10 people. So, I do go in and again all the mtgs went well and I was told to expect an offer. Now I have two other companies waiting for response from me, and the people at Midtown still never said anything about a lower level position or decrease in pay. Friday afternoon finally comes around at 345pm and I get the job offer, and I learn of the new job (that is nothing we spoke of including the decrease in pay). When Nick tells me all this...I'm in shock so I dont accept the offer and he says he will try to get me more money.
This is 3 days after two other jobs extended offers to me, and they knew I was waiting for their offer. I accepted another job without telling them until 8pm on Friday night. I waited to see if the people at Midtown thought anything about what they were trying to do to me, or if they respected my other job offers. Of course not. They don't care and I really think they thought I needed their job that badly.
Let me tell you--Helen Stefan the owner, is fake, narcissistic, and a liar. She's one those that thinks she's SO important, and she is very sly. By offering me a lesser job and money, she would have still tried to get all the knowledge, and work out of me...except she didn't want to pay for it.
I am very lucky that I didn't need her job, and I am writing this in hopes to warn people about the way Midtown's office is run. If you can take your business and work somewhere else then please do so and don't support her efforts.
I used to have my own staffing firm, and as a man that ran an honest business...Helen is NOT an honest person. She made me wait 3 days for her job offer which she gave on a Friday at 345pm, and Helen didnt even bother to finalize the offer on Friday...I would have had to wait all weekend for Monday to come just to see what the final offer would have been. Needless to say...I refused Midtown's offer and I removed my candidacy....I also emailed Helen Stefan and told her she and her team lied to me.
If they will lie to me, then they most assuredly will lie to you.
You never should not tell someone when interviewing them that you are thinking of a lesser job, while verbally selling the better job. That's lying.
I have had quite a few placements with Midtown group that I absolutely loved. They are attentive to your needs and place you quickly. Not to mention that they pay is weekly.
I was trapped in the same job for over ten years, with no possibilities for promotion or pay increases. Midtown quickly placed me in a position that exceeded my salary expectations.
Midtown group has been so helpful, responsive and very professional! My recruiter Was Mr.Wolf , and he reached out to me with every update before hand Highly recommend Midtown group! Happy to be apart of the team -MsEbonikaSpriggs
I've had the pleasure of working with Midtown giving groceries away in the NE & SE areas of DC. I love it! The joy I felt leaving each site knowing that I participated in making a family HAPPY with some fresh produce and vegetables. Each week I would see the same faces I looked forward to seeing them as well as they looked forward to seeing me. I wasn't able to make it one day and the following week they said we missed you last week. My heart was filled with joy. I'm now at the Holiday Inn looking at a different side of what Midtown does which is providing shelter to people who are at risk. This is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. I had tbe chance to experience a young lady moving into her own place and to listen to how grateful she was to br able to have a place to stay until she was able to get things together. Midtown is heaven sent I am happy to be a part of an organization that helps people
There are not enough words to express my sincere thank you to this company. I was placed at an agency a week before this pandemic broke out so unfortunately I had to leave. I was informed about this about 4pm on a Friday, by 4:30 Molly had a new assignment set up for the following Monday and I am still there. I honestly didn t know that the Midtown team have been teleworking as well. The response to questions are handled just as if they were in the office. Great job Midtown and I am truly thankful for you all. Stay Safe!
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but after dealing with The Midtown Group I have to. One of the recruiters, Molly, reached out to me on a possible opportunity. I accepted and decided to work with Molly, despite my schedule. She was helpful in the beginning, but when things did not go her way you could hear her frustration. She became ruder as time went on and at times felt like she was only interested in making a sale. Cursing and boasting about your 10 years working as a Recruiter over the phone is unprofessional. I've worked with Recruiters in the past. Some were helpful and built a relationship with me, which led to me recommending their services to my Network. Or some were like Molly. Because of her actions, I lost interest in both the position and relying on The Midtown Group.
I have worked with Midtown for almost one year, they are dependable and I ve never had an issue with my hours/pay, always on time. Whatever concerns or issues I ve had have been attended to promptly and resolved in record time. I recommend this employer to anyone who wants to work with no worries about remuneration.
Midtown has placed me at two amazing, career-changing positions within the same year - I felt like I was always a priority during my job search, and I never waited more than a day for an update on an application. I'm so glad I found this firm!
I have worked with Midtown for years and they are like family. They treat workers with respect and loyalty. The leadership is top rated and I have referred many friends who feel the same way. Great positions, great company, and great leadership.
Outstanding personnel to work with and they are great in finding the right position for you and placing you at the location suitable for you. i would highly recommend them to anyone I know seeking a rewarding position.
I have worked with a lot of Staffing companies in my career, Midtown is by far one of the best ones I have worked with. They respond and get answers usually the same day I ask them. They are very professional in their interview and hiring process. The organization of the company made onboarding me to my new position a breeze. I would recommend The Midtown Group to any of my friends or coworkers!!! Great job Tricia!!!
The Midtown Group is one of the best staffing agencies around! My recruiter, Brooke Douglas was wonderful in helping me to find a job in my field and is always sure to check in to ensure things are going well.
I was also impressed by how they handled the pandemic. They constantly have sent updates to keep us informed and even sent contractor gifts of hand sanitizer, a mask and journal! I would recommend working with this company to help find your dream job.
Midtown Group is the best agency I have worked with, they always come through and everybody in their offices is friendly and very helpful, I'm grateful for their wonderful work
I have been working with Midtown Group for several years and referring people even when I wasn't working for them. I believe that Midtown Group is a great organization, with great people working for them.
The Midtown Group is a professional group of people who helped me secure a job that I've now had for 2 years! They are in constant contact with me and easy to talk to when I need them.
Absolutely love working with Midtown! Molly continues to be an awesome support and friend even after my hire. I would strongly recommend working with Midtown!
My experience working with Molly O Reily-Pol, one of their so called recruiters, was anything but pleasant. She would eagerly email me potential employment opportunities that I replied back with interest, then would proceed to ignore me for months despite my many repeated attempts to follow up with her. Many months later, she finally replied back, as if she forgot about her unprofessional behavior in ignoring me, with another opportunity she thought I would be a good fit for. Lo and behold, after the interview, she refused to follow up with me, despite my repeated attempts to get feedback. If her extremely unprofessional behavior is indicative of a firm wide stance, then avoid this firm when looking for a job. I don t know how she gets away with treating people like this. I eventually was able to find work with a recruiter at a different agency who actually cared about her clients.
I have been talking to the Midtown Group for over 5 years. They helped me find my most recent help desk job which turned out great. They are very professional and friendly to work with.
After several months of submitting applications through other temp agencies, my financial resources started running low and I could feel myself loosing steam with the job hunting process. Then I came across The Midtown group and submitted my resume. At first, I did not expect any different outcome than I what I had already been experiencing with other agencies. But I was wrong. The experience was very different. From the moment that I first spoke to my recruiter, I sensed a degree of professionalism, relatability and determination that I had not encountered going through other agencies. Long story short, thanks to The Midtown Group, within 1 WEEK of that initial conversation with my recruiter, I started a new job in downtown Manhattan and it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm still at the job, it's been almost 4 months now and things have been going great. I'm expecting a promotion within the fiscal year. Midtown didn't just help me get a job, they helped me regain my confidence and get my life back on track. They helped me make sure that my family will have a very memorable Christmas this year. And for that, I'm truly grateful.
