How absolutely amazing. My niece had a small wedding reception at the Aquarium. The staff was unbelievably generous. The food exquisite. We brought our own music and danced in front of the shark tank. (LOL). If you are thinking of where you could have an event, consider this wonderful venue.

So I accidentally spilled Skittles on the floor and I have a picture of what it looks like after I cleaned it up, but that s the problem. While I was cleaning it up, the maid saw us and did nothing. She just pushed in a chair. You d think they d help us right?

I used to visit this place every week. The sharks area is wonderful with dimmed light and calming music. I would say its better to visit in the morning, not on weekends when it's overcrowded. The gift shop is pretty expensive but not necessary to buy anything there :)

Always worth it. We are members and get a movie with every admission. The others are my favorite, plus the jellyfish. The kids like the touch tanks, shark diving demo, frogs, movies, meerkats, and more.

Awesome

Pros - Jelly fish preserve, seals show
Cons - Pricy tickets, no underwater acrylic tunnels, untidy cafe restroom with limited food options, no age wise divided play area, aquarium+imax movies not related

Nice aquarium I would call this an Educational Aquarium I liked seeing the Beluga Whales. And the electric ells. There are always new exhibits and it would be good to check their website to see what it is.

This aquarium is very nice. Lots of useful information. Touching stingrays and sharks was cool. Plenty of activities to do. Very family oriented place. My son had the chance to meet the Director of the establishment, she greeted him with a major smile and very friendly attitude.

This was our second visit here. This is a small but really nice aquarium. Price of admission includes one IMAX movie. All movies are 40 min long. Additional movies are about $10 per person so it's not worth it to add another.

We went with two children, 6 and 8. They have three touch tanks. The first is a large tank with stingrays and small sharks. The second is a small tank with jellyfish. The third is upstairs and was closed when we went.

The aquarium is two levels and the second level has a lot of land animals. There is a meerkat exhibit where kids can go in tunnel and pop up in the center. They also have a large Macaw, monkeys, porcupines and numerous lizards/monitors.

They aquatic displays are beautiful as expected. They only large sea animal they have are seals and several times a day they have a seal training demonstration.

Overall, it's a nice aquarium, not spectacular. It's clean and they have a really nice gift shop. We spent about four hours there.

Prices aren't cheap, but for the money, it's worth it. The kids got to touch jellyfish, sharks and stingrays. Lots of really cool fish, too. Also, a free seal show. For purchase, you can see IMAX shows, too.

Nice Aquarium. Not quite as big as Camden or Mystic but big enough for my 3, 4, and 9 year old grandchildren. For us it was only 1 1/2 hour drive. The kids got to pet sting rays and jelly fish. They were a little disappointed there were no sharks to pet. When we found the shark tank they were wowed by their size. We all enjoyed the IMAX movie. All in all a good day!

The Maritime Aquarium is fun for kids of all ages (1-100). There is so much to see and learn. An excellent day trip. See all the aquarium has to offer, catch an Imax movie, then enjoy the rest of Sono when you are done. If you havent been to The Aquarium in a while, you really should go back and see how nice it is. They have been constantly upgrading the displays and the attractions. The Sono area has also experienced a major resurgence in the last couple of years, so you can make an entire day/evening of the trip.

We are members at the aquarium and have been for a few years. It's always a great place to come with the kids. They have been consistently renovating and adding new exhibits. This is a great place to come on the weekends!

Exhibits were nice. Google estimated 3 hours, but it was about 40 minutes. We were walking through with a 22 month old. Also, they were doing some painting, and the paint roller and tray with fresh paint were left out, barely blocked by a couple standing wet paint type signs. Very dangerous for children, especially since it was right around a corner and parents would not have seen in time.

Absolutely loved it, my mom and I went for a day, you can take your time to see everything you want to and the layout is easy to follow, it's a circle! There is also a little path by the river to walk and the staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back! Also very clean ^^

Just a wonderful place to go with the family, notice a lot of couples on dates there too. Lots of animals to see and great saff that will take the time and explain to the kiddos about the different exhibits. Can't wait to see what the place will look like once the finish there changes.
