GREAT TIME THE IMAX THEATER IS WORTH IT. THEY HAVE FOR THE LITTER KIDS THE CHANGE TO BUILD THERE OWN TOY BOAT. TWO FLOORS OF STUFF DO AND WITH THE IMAX ON AVERAGE IT CAN TAKE ABOUT 2-3 HOURS TO DO THE ENTIRE SPOT. ALSO THERE IS A NICE PARK UP THE BLOCK THAT YOU CAN TAKE THE KIDS TO SO THEY CAN GET OUT THAT LAST BIT OF ENERGY BEFORE GOING HOME.

This place is great for children, they have hands on activities and lots of space for them to get down and busy lol. I enjoyed this place myself as an adult, my first time touching a sting ray and a jelly fish I m sure that you and your children will love it as well.

The aquarium is a nice place to visit for children and for nature hawks. It has a lot of kinds of fish and other small animals, including a large sharks tank, jellyfish and lion fish. But it does not have to much big or amusing creatures.
The staff is very devoted for the care of their fish and are very helpful and know all info on the exhibits.
The imax theater is really amazing. It plays like real looking movies of wild life with it's huge crystal clear screen in the height of a 6 story building and wide as 2 school buses.
We enjoyed it.

Visited on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Not overly big so if you wanting to spend a whole day somewhere this place might be little all but will definitely provide enough entertainment for a afternoon or morning.

You can see different sea and water animals from the exotic to common. Some other amphibians are also present. Place is also showing the history of different maritime history of of Norwalk and surrounding areas

Very cute place. Best for young ones though. I brought two teens and we were thru it in 45 mins. IMAX movie was cool. My favorite has always been the jellyfish tank. Amazing and beautiful. Sharks also rock!

I am six years old and I love your animals they are amazing and I love going to the maritime aquarium every year with my Papa and Grandma. When I go I have so much fun looking at your animals. I love all your animals. I do not have a favorite animal because I love all your ANIMALS. I also like touching the Sting Ray and Nurse Shark they feel soft and slimmy. They are cool

Nice aquarium with kid friendly activities. FYI no shark feedings on Mondays. It's a plastic free facility so "bottled" water is in milk carton packaging = you can't securely close it so bring your own water bottle. It says no outside food allowed but no one checks bags.

Parking at dock-side is limited especially on weekends. I have only taken the educational cruises so my critique is only about that aspect. Staff on board is great. I only wish there were cruises that would take in more of the CT coast. I'd like to see "senior" pricing discount. Easy to get there off I-95 from North or South.

Went to a company holiday party here a few years ago and had a blast. It was catered and as you walked around there were tables with different appetizers to eat which were really good. Parking in the garage was easy, close and cheap too. Nice little area and park next door. And you can go out to eat in SoNo after.

Fun place for all ages. Interactive and hands on learning experience. The free ticket for a documentary at the adjoining IMAX is the icing on the cake. Don't miss it when near about Norwalk!

Great experience for the whole family! We took our 1 y/o to the aquarium and it was a blast for her. The staff were incredible and very friendly to her on her birthday. As to other aspects; The restrooms were clean, and the gift shop prices were not too insane. All the conservation work they do made a purchase worth it. Would highly recommend coming here!

I wouldn't buy the membership before first visit. No military discounts for family members or memberships.

Great exhibits and plenty of things for all ages to enjoy touch sea creatures watch a diver in a tank with sharks all around great place great IMax theater although we had some children kicking our seats and talking through the whole movie parents need to think about people around them and which movies are your children able to understand and enjoy

We had a blast. They eliminated a few attractions that would normally cause clutter, smart idea. More spacious. They have hand sanitizer throughout the exhibit, they require you to follow the guided one way path which covers entire aquarium which I really liked. Masks are required and they even label highly touched surfaces so you know to hand sanitizer after for safety. We had a great time for sure and will be back again. Don't forget to bring your parking garage ticket with you! You pay at machine downstairs before going back to car

Great place to visit for all ages. I have been visiting the aquarium at least 3-4 times a year since my son was born, he is now four and still enjoys going especially on rainy days. The aquarium does tailor to children of all ages with different exhibits and stations; which allow for interaction with the Marine life, such as sting rays, jellies and sea lions. They recently added a new section about jellies to the aquarium and always have new exhibits every couple months. If you are able to watch one of the IMAX movies, they are always interesting and educational and the picture on the big screen feels like you are swimming with them. They even have divers go into the shark tank and talk about sharks and answer questions from the audience while in the tank. It takes about 2 hours to see all the exhibits. It's really an awesome place for children of all ages and adults. I Highly recommend visiting!

Just so you know tips:
I usually go during the week, it's less crowded but they do offer more on the weekends and when the schools are on break. There is a parking garage across the street, which charges for parking but it's only a couple bucks. They also have a couple restaurants within walking distance of the aquarium, if you want to grab a bite. The aquarium does have a cafeteria which offers chicken fingers , hamburgers, french fries premade salads and sandwiches and a gift shop directly below. It is handicap accessible, they have three elevators, two to access the top floor exhibits and the other which leads to the IMAX theater. Hope you visit soon!

Cool
