I've visited several times with my eight year old. He likes it almost as much as bowling. We come for the stingray and jelly touch tanks, the seals, the Komodo dragon, and the imax tickets that are included with the price of admission. It's a fun way to spend a couple hours. Afterwards, consider checking out the SoNo Switching Tower museum if your kid likes trains (it's just a couple blocks away, and admission is free).

Great place to bring your kids. The sting ray/shark petting tank is a lot of fun, as well as the hands on jelly exhibit. Lion fish tank is breathtakingly beautiful. Sea lions are right up close too. 4/5 because it's a bit expensive.

For a first time visit it's a bit interesting but not the place to keep going back. Definitely pricey for what they offer. Nice part about it, is it's not too big for kids and usually not crowded.

I had a really nice time here. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it is rated #1 aquarium in New England, yet I really thought Mystic was overall more put together, cleaner, and with better exhibits. We did see a turtle stuck on it's back though and told some personnel who were quick to respond and have someone come flip it back over which was great to see.

Its a one time a year place for me as an adult. If you have kids then its a perfect place to come every now and then and the imax theater is a plus also. Very informative and activities for kids. The open petting area or whatever its called is cool also. And they also have other non aquatic species also. Come check it out if u haven't

It was a great experience especially since the prices were lowered as a promotion for the weekend that I went . We also saw an Imax movie which was included in the admission price. The aquarium is interactive you can touch stingrays and some jellyfishes .

This is one trip I will not make again. I was disappointed with practically the whole trip. Looking at the map online the aquarium looked small, I thought I was missing something seeing as how it would cost my family $55 to make this trip.I was wrong, it was as small as it seemed. Anyway, to start our trip, we decided to stop in for an early lunch. Biggest mistake ever! It was quite an expensive little lunch. One Dannon yogurt that you could get for $.50 at a grocery store cost $2.50 so you get the picture. Besides this, there was about 10 different groups on trip here which made for a very packed building with tons of children running around with very little supervision bumping and pushing. We missed well over half of the exhibits due to these groups. I feel that there should be some form of warning to people who will not be coming in groups to know that they will not get their moneys worth when they come on certain days or at least do discounts. Another note is that the bathroom was so small while not crowded a person trying to squeeze past other people outside the restroom and get in pushed the door right into my two year old's face. The only thing my children remember is the jelly fish touch tank that they had to return to 4 times before finally getting in to touch the jelly fish. Each time they passed we waited about 10-15 minutes before leaving the tank to try again later. I would not recommend this aquarium to anyone especially during the summer.

Had a fantastic time with the family and the facility was extremely clean with a friendly helpful staff. 5 Stars all the way, and we will be going back for sure in a few months as Layla is still raving about it ;) Great hands on stuff for 3 years and up I would say. It's located in a restored older building which just adds to the great atmosphere the place already has. Really well done guys and thank you for having such a place for us to learn and play with the family :)

The Maritime Aquarium is way more than just a big fish tank. It's an excellent learning center with various exhibits, including meerkats! The jellyfish tanks are beautiful and hypnotic. The meerkats are ridiculously cute. There are sharks and sea turtles, fish large and small. There's an Imax theater playing a movie every hour, arts and crafts, a 5 and under play area for the little kids. You can learn a bit about life on an estuary (Long Island Sound is an estuary, and the Aquarium is right on Long Island Sound). There is a harbor seal exhibit, really cool if you're there at feeding time. There's a gift shop and a cafe. Lots to do packed into a nice little space.

Love love love we have a yearly membership. The kids love this place so many things for them to do. The jiggle a jelly is one of there favorites. They learn so much as they can ask questions the staff is very knowledgeable.

Our kids love this place. Definitely worth the yearly membership as you only have to go twice to "break even". Very accommodating for chol hamoed outings with a sukkah on site in the fall and a nice outdoor area to eat during Pesach. Note that you'll probably always have to pay for parking in the town there.

We are members and go often. My kids are now almost 2 and 4 and it is perfect for them - small enough but also full of interesting creatures presented in a great way. I have been back twice since reopening after covid and am very pleased with their safety measures. It's a great place that we will continue to support for years.

My wife and two kids took the metro north from nyc. We visited SoNo (south norwalk) and we really enjoyed it. The aquarium was large, beautiful and very interactive for the kids... and adults. This was an overall very enjoyable trip and experience at the aquarium

Love the museum, but their handling of COVID is very poor. Busy museum, no staff inside the museum whatsoever, no social distancing, people not wearing masks, no hand sanitizer anywhere. Extremely disappointing.
